"Please let go of my arm..." She said it boldly because she was disgusted with this man, and he let go of her grip. Erin looked around the mansion, which was more significant than her parents'. All of the concrete and tall glass windows provided a view of the mountains, allowing you to relax and enjoy the changing of the seasons from the comfort of an easy chair.
When she entered the living room, she was surprised, and her eyes widened to discover two enormous dogs barking at her non-stop.
"Sit…" Nathan ordered.
She casts a glance at Nathan, who is still staring at her closely, but she hesitates to sit on the sofa since she is still staring at the two bulldogs.
"What?... Me or the dog?" She asked, confused because she was terrified of giant dogs.
"You," Nathan said briefly before releasing the two canines into the playground. "Follow me, George and Georgia." He said, and the two dogs instinctively followed him out the door. Nathan returned to the living room, sat, and stared at her as if he had many questions for her and didn't know where to begin.
"I don't know who you are, and you don't know who I am, so how did you become my wife? Or did our Family invent this?" He inquired, perplexed and frowning.
"That's what I'd like to ask you...
My parents died in a car accident three months ago, and I learned from our lawyer that I am married to you. My parents set it up for the company's sake because I don't know how to run it, which could be one of the reasons..."
Erin had a sad expression on her face as she told Nathan what had happened.
He felt smothered when he looked at her, and he wanted to say sorry for what had happened because it had been difficult for her to lose someone, especially their parents. He, on the other hand, stayed composed.
Nathan suddenly thought that his grandfather might know something about the marriage contract.
"I'll talk to my grandpa about this."
and then he stepped closer to Erin with a sad face.
"I'm sorry for your loss…."
She grimaced and expressed her dissatisfaction with other people's mercy. She isn't pathetic; she is a courageous and uncompromising young lady, and it hurts her ego when someone sympathizes with her.
"Sign the form that was given by my lawyer so that we can move on with our lives and I will not bother you anymore."
He blinked twice at her and shook his head.
"I won't..."
Erin's expression was tinged with worry when she heard Nathan's response. So why does everything have to be complicated? Then why not say yes? She thinks about it as she watches Nathan reject her offer and expressly refuse to accept it.
"W-why not?" She asked in disbelief.
"Because I don't know you, and I won't just give my signature to a stranger," Nathan explained, then stared at her intently.
"Yes, we don't know each other, but please assist me with my problem. My Family's business is slowly expanding, but it is losing money as a result of my parents' deaths."
She shrugged slightly to relieve the tension.
"I'll talk to my Grandpa about it, but for the time being, we'll keep our marriage a secret."
"No one will know unless you tell them." She sighed and rolled her eyes.
"Just give me a copy of the papers that our Family agreed on. I'm sorry I'm not aware of this trap."
While studying the marriage contract and the agreement papers, his brow furrowed.
When Nathan looked at his wristwatch, he realized he was late for Marga's birthday party, his fuck buddy partner. However, he ignored it because of Erin.
Erin realized that Nathan might still have something to do. That's why she had decided to leave and pack her things.
"Mr. Velasco, I appreciate your time. Perhaps I should go right now and return with my lawyer the next day." She formally proceeded to the front door, but she remembered the man's two dogs. She returned her gaze to Nathan, who stood with his hands on his hips, waiting for her to say something terrible.
"I'm scared of your dogs. Can you accompany me outside?" She is shy to ask for a favor, but now she really needs it.
"Do you have a fear of my dogs? They don't sting." He laughs as he opens the door for her.
Her mouth shut in a thin line to prevent herself from uttering a harsh word because she had been annoyed with the man since she arrived in this mansion.
"Come on..." He said while opening the front door for her.
When they exited the mansion, they were met by an angry woman staring at them angrily. The woman would have slapped him, but Nathan stopped her hand from coming to his face.
"Marga, what are you doing?" Looking at Marga, he asked in a rage.
"I'm going to leave now," Erin said awkwardly as she walked to her red car.
"You can't just leave bitch! You need to explain!!!" Marga screamed at the top of her lungs.
"Marga! Stop it!" He scowled.
"Excuse me?" Erin asked in confusion with a fierce face.
"Yes, you're a bitch! You are flirting with my boyfriend! A whore! I will kill you." She's screaming like a spoiled brat bitch. While Nathan is so annoyed by this kind of girl, she assumes that.
Nathan was taken aback by Marga's behavior, and then he stopped her from attacking Erin. He grabbed Marga's arm violently, and his eyes were full of anger at the woman.
Erin ignored the woman and just left the two to quarrel because she didn't care. She shook her head while looking at the two in the side mirror. 'a disaster' then drove off fast.
"Why are you so angry? Who is she!"
She asked violently.
"Marga, I'm so tired of your accusation. There is nothing serious between the two of us. Just... Just leave!" He finally said it to her face.
A flush crept up her face, and she began to cry in front of him.
"You can't do this to me! I will not leave here! You can't do this to me! Nooooo!" She yelled at him while grabbing his hand, but Nathan refused her hand.
"Yes, I can!" He replied and went inside the mansion to take his car and leave this freaking woman.
"Where are you going? You can't just leave me like this! You know what? I will fucking kill that girl!" She snapped.
His eyebrow lowered and pulled closer together, glaring at her.
"You are insane!"
then sped off in the car far away from the insane Marga, leaving her in the dust.
When Nathan saw that Erin had not yet driven far, he decided to follow her.
Then Erin frowned when she realized that Nathan was following her. Erin pulled over and stepped out of her car.
"Are you following me?" She exclaimed.
