Nathan groaned when he watched the woman get out of the car with a twisted bristle and a pout on her face, yet he was still captivated by her beauty. His motives for pursuing her were unclear, and he was forced to explain everything. Because of what happened a while ago, he does not want her to be angry. Marga was to blame for everything.
"Get out of your car!" She said in a firm voice.
"Damn it," he grumbled as he exited his car and confronted this lovely girl. He can't let her go and never see her again; he needs to see her every day. He feels pleased when he meets her for the first time and learns about their marriage. He can't get rid of her; there's something inside of her that drives him insane.
He serious his face again and turned his head to where Erin was standing.
"I'm not following you, Miss Raylee. I'm on my way to my friend's house, don't assume that I'm following you. Anyway, About Marga--"
She cuts him off and places her hands on her hips, raising her right eyebrow. 'Sexy,' he thought to himself.
"What do you think? Inform your girlfriend that I don't give a fuck about your relationship with her. I don't like you, and my intention isn't to flirt with you; my intention is solely professional." She said in a high-pitched voice, and Nathan still looked at her as if he didn't listen to what she said.
"Well yeah. But she's not my girlfriend. If ever we will be together, that does not seem a problem at all." He asked in a low voice.
"Excuse me? What did you say? I'm not going to jump on you, Mister Velasco. You're just a stranger to me. But she tells you that you're her boyfriend. Men have always been so good at telling lies…."
"Well...I'm not lying. She's not my girlfriend, I f*cked her, but Marga and I have no serious relationship..." He said it without thinking about how it made Erin's eyes widen.
"Why do I have to explain everything to you?" When he realized he had said something terrible, he couldn't take it back.
"Why do you feel the need to explain?" She asks, unafraid and still thinking about what she heard earlier.
They were both stunned and stared at each other, but it was Erin who looked up and dashed into the car, speeding away.
Nathan was disturbed, and he realized that simply leaving and not interpreting the woman he was tormented with was the best option.
When Erin got home to her condo, she found another post note in front of her door. She didn't even bother to read it and then threw it in the trash can. Erin felt the annoyance of whoever this stalker was. She headed to the refrigerator to drink a glass of water because she felt exhausted from today's troubles. Then Erin remembered Nathan's dangerous stare at her as if it would grab her to death earlier, maybe not. But she likes his ocean blue eyes. That's it and no more.
She is now in front of her laptop and alone, looking at her old photos with her parents. She cries over the memories that come with them.
"I'm sorry mom and dad for being a rebellious daughter, if I can just turn back time ... I will be a more deserving daughter to you and dad."
She said tearfully.
She caressed every part of the things her parents gave her, and tears shimmered in her eyes till she fell asleep alone on the sofa without knowing it.
The next day her friend Liv visited her in her condo, and she smiled widely because of its presence. It's been a few weeks that they haven't seen each other because Liv was with her Business Icon sweetheart.
"Wow, you're here!" She chirped and grabbed a piece of apple.
She notices something in her friend's eyes that looks so happy, happier than ever.
"Is there something that I need to know?" She raises a question in confusion.
"Well…" Liv's face is bright, and she is smiling wide to her ear.
"Spill it Liv...I don't have all the time to--"
"I know, but you can't believe my news, but John proposed to me last night!" Liv said in an exciting tone while showing her shining, shimmering engagement ring.
The smile disappeared from her lips because she knew that John was a very playboy, and she was stupefied when she abruptly became strict with her best friend.
"Are you sure with him, Olivia?"
Liv also lost the smile on her lips and held her two hands; they sat on the sofa. Erin's face was full of concern for her friend, and she was afraid that this man might just hurt her best friend.
"Erin, you don't have to worry. He's my first love and my one and only...I know and I feel that he loves me as much as I love him." Liv reassures her with this statement.
"But Liv... I heard about this man having a lot of trouble with girls, you know? but if he makes you happy and feels the love that you aspire...I can't do anything but to let you marry this man. You know that I love you right? I just don't want you to get hurt."
Liv felt happy and hugged her Best friend, Erin.
Since they were kids, Olivia became her truly dear best friend because her parents were also neighbors of Olivia's parents, so they looked like they were two sisters from different families.
"Our wedding is scheduled for June 6th at the Plaza hotel. I'm so excited for this day to come and you will be my maid of honor!" Liv said excitedly to her while sipping her wine.
She was happy with what her friend accomplished in life, and she was also pleased that Liv had found true happiness in a man, and she thought to herself, 'so when will I get married? and then she contraindicated with what she thought you've been married for a long time, idiot!'
She suddenly coughed, and the water barricaded in her throat, and then looked at Liv with mixed doubt.
"Erin, what happened to you?
"I have a nagging feeling, don't you think?" Despite everything she has to say, she won't know anything.
"Tell me about it! Perhaps I can assist."
"In the eyes of the law, I'm married. Therefore, how can I find a man I can marry if…."
When she regains consciousness, she recalls Nathan, the man she believes to be her husband.
"What the hell is going on! You've been married for a while!" Liv chuckles at herself.
"Liv? Just stop laughing, it's not funny at all."
"Nevertheless, you're a very fortunate woman. You're married to the richest and sexiest man in town. Erin, what are you looking for? - You have everything!"
"Liv, we don't love each other. I want to feel love, just like you and John did. He's not the type of man I'd like to be with in the future..."
"Don't use the past tense... Perhaps he's the one for you...or maybe not. But I don't know yet, but I have a feeling...I feel right!" Liv makes fun of her.
"We are only legally married. It's just a piece of paper, and no love has developed between me and Nathan..."
"However, I'd like to have him for you! I saw his picture on a billboard, he's a good man, he helps a lot of people and charity and I knew he was the one for you!" Liv was unwavering.
"Are you sure, seriously?" Her eyes were fixed on her.
.
Liv's phone abruptly rang, and it was John who had called.
"Yes, babe, I'm on my way. See you later...okay, bye! I adore you!" Liv said this as if she were the most in-love woman in the universe, then turned her head to Erin and smiled.
"I'm not kidding... Simply ask him out on a date. Take my advice!" As she gathered her belongings and prepared to leave, Liv said this.
She escorted her friend out of her house and hugged her again.
"No, I'm not going on a date with him... By the way, please convey my congratulations to John; I'm overjoyed for both of you. Bye!"
She said it in a cheerful tone, but she was sad on the inside. she was unsure what was right. She is sad because she is lonely, and the only people she has ever loved deeply are her parents.
She has no idea what the future holds...
But the only thing she is sure of is that she must resolve all of the issues she has with Nathan Evans Velasco.
