"What are you doing here, Luke?"
"I've come to comfort Erin; I'm her trusted friend..."
"Yes, but she doesn't want to talk to anyone right now because we recently lost our baby Luke; please don't bother asking her about her situation because it would only make things worse..." With a harsh glance at Luke, Nathan warned him not to do something dumb.
Luke was glad in his heart when he learned that Erin and Nathan had just lost their baby; he felt as if destiny had finally agreed with him, for one by one, his plans came true, and he thinks that the relationship between Erin and Nathan became even more complicated now.
"Oh my, I'm sorry for your loss... perhaps that's why Erin won't choose you any longer, because you can't even protect her..." Luke remarked calmly, his eyes bright with anticipation that one day Erin will choose him over Nathan.
"It's fine if she doesn't choose me one day, as long as she doesn't choose someone like you, have you forgotten your case? Raylee's death is still under investigation, and you and your family are my prime suspects. Prepare to be unhappy for the rest of your life and be ready if I already have the evidence in my hand..." Only Luke and he could hear what he was saying and he stayed calm as he said that to Luke firmly then he gazed at the car where Erin was waiting for him inside.
As he glared at Nathan, Luke smoldered with contempt. He was outraged when he learned that he was being probed, and as a result, he became even more paranoid, determined to ensure that no proof was revealed.
"Luke, my cousin! You are here...what a coincidence... "
Olivia said as she reached Luke and Nathan while holding her breath her stomach looked bigger than before and Nathan thought Erin would be more upset to see Olivia's pregnant belly.
"Yes I am here to visit Erin but I am not allowed to speak to her…" Luke replied.
"Oh, I know the reason why Nathan doesn't want you to talk to his wife…"Olivia said with a meaningful word then she glanced up at Nathan who is looking at her right now with a serious face.
"I'm sorry for what happened, Nathan... I feel so sad about it as a soon-to-be mom..." Olivia hugged Nathan and whispered something to him, then inquired about Erin.
"Can you tell me where Erin is?" she inquired, her voice rising in concern for her best friend.
"I'm sorry, Olivia, Erin isn't interested in interacting with anyone right now; she's distraught over the situation, and I hope you understand..." Nathan explained in a calm voice as he stepped into his car.
"I'll tell you soon when she wants to talk with anyone, don't worry she will be fine. Take care of yourself, I gotta go." Nathan added before he closed the door of his car and when he glanced at Erin. Olivia didn't get a chance to reply and simply gazed as she sensed Nathan avoiding her for talking to Erin, and she realized she was pregnant too, and Erin was even more aching for her lost baby because she will notice that her best friend had a growing baby belly and her not anymore.
Luke simply scratched his head before looking towards Nathan's car. Olivia sighed and advised Luke to maintain his composure. "Don't be angry, Luke... Erin is married." Luke simply groaned and walked away from Olivia without saying anything.
Nathan glance at the sleeping Erin and He knows that Erin is very exhausted from what is happening right now. He wanted to make a change for her to be better and will do more to satisfy her. He sighed and told the driver to drive.
He kissed her cheeks, forehead, and soft lips as he tenderly caressed her face. He felt sad for his wife, who is currently feeling this way, and there are moments when he is enraged by its secrets, such as her pregnancy, and it hurts him not knowing that he doesn't have the chance to know about her being pregnant with his child.
In the house, Nathan and Erin were both mute, staring blankly at each other. They don't want to discuss anything since they don't know how to handle their emotions about their baby's death. Erin realized that she had made a mistake as well by not telling Nathan about her condition and Nathan was upset and saddened by Erin's inability to tell him the truth.
As more tears streamed down her face and more thoughts raced through her mind, she removed her sandals and walked the stairs to take a break, but she was halted in her steps by a strong hand, which Nathan was clutching tightly. She dried her tears and looked at Nathan, slowly biting her bottom lips. Her voice was quivering as she said,
"N-Nathan..."
"I don't know how to say this to you, I know our baby is not meant to be with us...but I know even in the slightest moment, he or she makes you happy. I am sure you will be the best mother someday, maybe not now but soon, in god perfect time. But don't worry I will make it up to you, I will lecture that bitch for killing our baby so that she won't bother you anymore...I will make you keep safe from now on, I am sorry for not being able to protect you..."Nathan said, and every word he says comes from the bottom of his heart; he doesn't like to cry in front of other people, but today he cried in front of the lady he loves, and it didn't make him weak; rather, it strengthened him in difficult times and it is okay to cry to express your emotions whether you are a man or a woman.
"I don't want you to seek revenge, it is my fault, Dianne doesn't know that there's a baby in my womb. She was just mad at me that's why she did that to me. No one is at fault but me, I am sorry for not telling you...but it already happened and I can't do anything about it but accept every day that it actually happened…"
