When Nathan observed Erin packing, he asked her a question
"Are you leaving me now? Why?"
Erin stopped what she was doing and slowly blinked her eyes. She turned her head and walked over to Nathan, giving him a warm hug, almost as if she was saying her goodbyes.
Nathan didn't hug her back and instead stood there like a statue. Erin is aware that Nathan disagrees with her plans for her life, but this is what is best for her; she needs to unwind because he has been through so much in her life and still can't handle the days when something will suddenly disappear.
"What is your reason for abandoning me? Are there any mistakes that I should fix for you?" His voice was sluggish as he spoke to her.
"There's nothing wrong with you, Nathan; you're the best man I've ever met; there is something wrong with me that I need to fix... Please don't bother following me... I want to go somewhere where I can relax my mind, body, and soul... I'm going to be fine..." Erin said this while touching Nathan's face and staring at him passionately.
"Please, Nathan... Let's put an end to this..." Erin said, closing her eyes tightly.
"Please don't leave me, Erin; I can't afford to lose you... I can't imagine my life without you; I love you." Nathan pleaded with Erin not to leave him, but she simply shook her head, her eyes becoming hot, and tears welling up so quickly that she couldn't blink them away.
She felt even more troubled when Nathan begged her not to leave him, but she had already made her decision; she needed to go in order to heal from all of her past pains, and when she returned, she would be ready to love him again.
"Please understand that I didn't do it for myself; I did it for the two of us." "I'm sorry for everything, but don't leave me... I love you so much," Erin whispered as she sobbed, and Nathan grabbed her petite frame and held her again in a heartbeat.
"Nathan, please don't be so self-centered. I care about you, but I can't love you if I'm broken on the inside," she added as her voice cracked and tears streamed down her cheeks. This is a very tough decision for her to make without knowing what the future holds, but she has no choice but to do it rather than stay with him with her heart shattered, and they will be the only ones who suffer.
Nathan smiled sadly as he dropped to his knees, biting his bottom lip to keep from crying in front of the woman he loved. The amount of fear and agony he felt for Erin is priceless, and he concluded maybe this was the time to let Erin go and continue his life as before.
"Just leave, you're leaving me like you just killed me... you're not coming back with me, just go! Don't think about me anymore, I will forget you...I will move on!" Nathan shouted angrily at her and pushed her away.
"I'm sorry..." Erin said as she gathered her belongings and ran down the stairs, crying as she said goodbye to the love of her life; she continued to cry as she got into her car and, before driving away, she glanced at the mansion, recalling all of her happy memories with Nathan. She then drove away, thinking that things would get better soon.
Nathan sighed as he walked out of the house, unable to reach Erin. His chest rose and fell with fast breaths, and his shoulders slumped and he thought maybe this is the last time he will see Erin because he never knows what will happen in the future. This loss has been excruciating for him, and he has sworn to himself that he will never love another girl like Erin.
Erin was already at the airport, and she noticed that her relatives were waiting for her outside the terminal to say their goodbyes and cheer her up before she left the country.
"Are you sure you want to do this?"
"Yes, mum, I'll be right back..." Erin said and embraced her mother with a warm hug and smile.
"We'll miss you Erin..." murmured Percy and Christina then they hugged Erin.
"Be careful everywhere you go, Erin..." Isabel sighed as she spoke.
"Don't worry Auntie, I'll be fine...you know my reasons, I just want to get away from everything, which is really difficult for me, and when I return, I'll be a completely different person..." Erin softly said and her heart skipped a bit, she doesn't want to cry now. She is tired of it, she forced herself to smile despite the worried faces who were looking at her.
"Guys...Don't worry, I'll be fine."
She smiled and waved her hand towards her family, and she noticed her Mother crying as she waved her hand at her.
"Don't cry..." she said to them, then turned away to enter the airport and prepare herself for a fresh beginning in her life.
What could it be?
While she prepares to leave the country to begin a new life, Nathan is absolutely crushed, believing that she has never loved him and has given him all of his flaws, and he feels as if his entire being has been destroyed, torturing him.
