She cried softly as she opened her eyes and felt the ache in her abdomen that had been caused by Dianne's previous strong shove. She had no idea how long she had slept at the hospital, and the first thing that sprang to her mind was her baby's condition.
"My baby..." she whispered, and Nathan instantly approached her, his eyes watering. 'Is he crying?' she wondered aloud.
"How's our baby?" she murmured, her voice shaking.
"Our baby...is gone…"
Her cheeks were flushed with tears of sorrow, she couldn't believe what had happened and her baby had gone in the blink of an eye, and it would have been three weeks the next day.
She wanted to hurt herself for not protecting her own baby, and she had no other outlet for her deep emotions but her long-lasting tears.
"I'm sorry, Erin..." Nathan said, his eyes tearing up with pain.
"Why? What is going on with me? why? I lost my child because of your girlfriend... it's partly my fault because I didn't look after the baby..." A solitary tear welled up in the corner of her eyes as she uttered this.
"Why didn't you tell me you were pregnant, Erin? So you are keeping some secrets from me? If you have told me everything, these events could not have happened..." Nathan said and his voice is full of pain, his eyes are swollen.
"What makes you think it's my fault? Isn't it your fault that your mistress kicks and pushes me to the floor? You didn't want to defend me at first...please leave me alone."
"Erin, please not now, Erin... I'm devastated at the death of our child."
A melancholy tear streamed down her cheek; her body appeared serene in comparison to her jumbled mind. While Nathan was crying, he cupped her cheek and hugged her tightly. A kind of hug that makes her sadness a little lesser, we all need a hug in terms of pain and agony even if we don't want to but a simple hug can help.
"I'm sorry, Erin..."
"I'm sorry as well..." Erin whispered, her voice croaking.
Her Mother spat there with Isabel and her two cousins when the door unexpectedly opened.
When the door unexpectedly opened, her Mother spat there with Isabel and her two cousins.
"Erin, my daughter, are you all right? I'm horrified by what happened...I realize how difficult this is for you..."
"Erin and Nathan, we're sorry for your loss," Isabel added.
"I know this is really upsetting, Erin, and I am sorry if this happens for you..." Christina hugged Erin, then hugged Nathan.
"Yes, it's their first child, and it is gone too soon..." Percy murmured this while biting her bottom lip.
Erin just stared blankly at them, unable to do anything except cry, and Nathan was pained to realize that the woman he loved was in such a sad situation. When they are on the verge of losing their baby, how can he tell her that everything will be fine?
"Sorry, but Erin is not in the right moment to speak with you, guys... I hope you understand, and I'll take her to our house right now. I'll let you know as soon as she feels better..." Nathan said to the others in the room because he observed that everyone was attempting to talk to Erin but the poor girl was just crying and it looks like she's not herself anymore.
"All right, Nathan, just look after my daughter, okay? I'm worried about her, so please let me know if she's doing okay or not." Romelia expressed her thoughts and Nathan just nodded his head and glanced at the crying Erin. "Yes Mrs. Henderson, I will do my best to take care of her, I know this is very hard for her right now and for me, but we will try to accept what really happened…" Nathan replied while controlling his tears for not coming out, he sighed and hugged Erin's mother.
"Don't worry son...Everything will be alright…" Romelia said.
"Erin just stays strong...everything happens for a reason...I hope you get better soon; I hate seeing you in this kind of condition; it's so sad and it's hurting me..." Percy mumbled as she hugged Erin tightly.
"Percy, don't worry about Erin, she is a strong woman… Goodbye Erin, We will wait for your fast recovery...." Christina murmured as she snatched Percy's arm.
"Erin we will go now, we will be waiting for you to be fine...just tell me if you need me or if you need us, we are all here for you no matter what happens…" Isabel said and hugged her beloved niece.
Erin is simply crying, with no words coming out of her mouth. She is still thinking about the baby in her womb, and it is really sad that she has so many expectations for her future baby, and then one day she wakes up with no hope anymore for her baby.
She had no idea how to get over these difficulties; the first two important persons in her life had died, and now her baby had perished. This is far too much for her to handle.
Why does this have to happen, and if everything happens for a reason, what is that reason? What could it possibly be? As soon as she realizes Nathan is taking her out of the hospital, she wipes her tears away and looks up at the man who was with her in every difficulty in life.
"Why are you here, Luke?"
When she heard Nathan's voice and asked Luke why he was here in such a menacing tone.
Erin gasped and she just closed her eyes, she doesn't want to entertain any people now, she doesn't want to explain to them what really happened to her, she won't want to cry anymore. Nathan puts her inside the car and gently kisses her on the forehead before turning his head to Luke who is patiently waiting to talk to Erin.
"You can't talk to her right now…"
"And why not?"
