Desiree's POV
I started my day with a smile on my face, selecting my own attire from my closet in order to seem nice and presentable. I noticed that my lips were looking pale, so I applied some red lipstick and blended it in with my finger; I no longer need to apply foundation to my face because it is perfect in every way and white, and I always have rosy cheeks, so everyone will always think that I always have those perfect natural make-up but they never know I never put make-up on my face.
My father was the first to drop me off at work today. I'm overjoyed since his business is gradually improving and his face is no longer strained.
"Take care, dad," I murmured after kissing his cheeks, "and you, too," he smiled cheerfully as he drove away.
When I initially walked into this building, I scented the air and concluded that there were no bad spirits among my coworkers. I won't have time to cope with any nastier employees now that I'm George Scott's secretary.
I walked to the elevator while the people there inside were new to see my face, they were looking at each other and pretending not to see me.
Some girls are rolling their eyes at me, why do they have to do that? So I saw some toxic people now.
I think they are everywhere.
I pressed the floor where Mister George's office where, "Hi, are you Mister George's new secretary?" the tall and blonde girl asked me.
I glance at her and say, "Yeah…"
"That's why Mister Scott chose you because you are so pretty, he likes a pretty secretary you know?" she said. "Anyway I'm Anna," then she extended her arm, "I'm Desiree, and I'm not really pretty." I said when I stepped out of the elevator, "Yes you are!" she said happily.
When I arrived at the 10th floor, I walked to the hallway and saw the office of Mister George. I began to knock and I heard his voice. "Come in."
When I opened the door I was startled to see Alexander talking with him. My papers and documents are on the floor and I gulped, they both looked at me from head to toe. "I'm sorry…" I said and began to bend to take the papers on the floor.
Why is he here? Is he a client or a shareholder or partner in business? When I finished taking all the paper, I saw Alexander gulped and his stare at me was so hot that mixture of cold glare. Did I do something bad? I just put all the documents on George's desk.
"Hello sir, good morning." I said as I greet George, then george smile at me as he return me the greeting and I glance at Alexander and says, "Good morning,"
He just stares at me with a straight face and says, "Morning," the most boring tone of greeting I heard.
I look at George and he gives me a smile again, "Miss McCall, you can go back now to your desk." he said.
I nodded my head and saw how Alexander looked disgusted.
"Can I have a minute to speak with your secretary?" Alexander said, I wonder why he is here?
George nods his head and Alexander opens the door so that we can exit together. He escorted me to my mini office and my heart began to race again. I am happy to smell his good fragrance.
I rubbed my hands together while I sighed and looked at how my mini office looks so good and beautiful, "wow." I uttered.
"Do you have any idea why you are here? Please resign now." He demanded. How could he tell me that I need to resign on my first day of job? I sighed and chuckled, "are you insane? Look, sorry for the word. But I am not going to resign, you are not my parents to tell me what to do." I said asI disagree with him.
"You don't have any Idea, you don't know what he is capable of."
"Yeah right, he is my boss so he is capable of any," I mocked him.
He pushed me against the wall and he is so close to me that I can finally inhale his own breath, "what are you doing?" I mumbled.
"I won't repeat it again, you need to resign,"
"I will never resign and I will never go back to you, I don't want to work with you anymore. I want to fix myself and what are you doing here? Are you telling him to kick me out of here?" I accused him.
"No, Desiree. I am just protecting you." He clarified his intention.
"Protecting me from what?" I ask, he is very insane. He is out of his mind when he wants me to resign from my job today. I havent started my job and now he wants me to do the impossible thing.
He sighed and he looked at me, "Don't you ever ask for my help again if you are in trouble." He said and he let go of my hand.
I gasped and bit my lower lip, "Fine!"
But he became aggressive when he noticed that I just rolled my eyes on him, he cupped my face and pulled me so strongly to him and kissed my lips harassingly.
I want to push him but I can't. I am drowning in his kiss then there's a knock on my door, I go back to my senses and I push him with all of my strength, I open the door as fast as I can do so that he dont have the access to touch me again.
I saw Mister Scott's face darkened, "Get out of my building Mister Roberts, I am not going to allow you to harass my employee."
"Mister Scott, we will see each other again!" Alexander said in a baritone voice and dangerous tone.
