Justin didn't know what to say because he knew that Nina was right, Ryan would never allow Selena to leave him and if Selena's temper was like what Nina said, it's going to be a massive problem unless Ryan finds a way for both of them to compromise.

"Although I am not sure about the reason he is being resistant to marriage, as her friend and sister, I only wish for her to find true happiness and initially I thought that he was gonna be the one to give it to her but now... I am not so sure. If he can't be the one to grant her happiness then I hope he let her go.."

Justin's arms that were around her paused for a moment in the process of stroking her back but didn't say anything.

Hearing no reply from him, Nina got up from his embrace and folded her arms across her chest as she faced him and asked,

"So why are you not saying anything? Or do you think what I said was wrong?" She paused thoughtfully for a second before she looked incredulously at him the next second as she questioned with a rise in the pitch of her voice,

".......Don't tell me you support his actions!"

Justin smiled wryly to himself as he looked at his wife who was practically fuming, he replied with helplessness in his voice,

"I sincerely do not support his actions so you don't have to be mad at me. But just because I don't support his actions doesn't mean he is not going to do what he wants to do. And as far as I know, he has no plan of breaking up with Selena, ever and in fact, he plans to marry her but he tells me it isn't time yet."

"It is not yet time? ! What the hell does that mean? It's been 10 f*cking years and it STILL isn't time? Then when is it going to be time, huh? When Selena is in her 40s or maybe 50s? You gotta be seriously kidding me!!! Please tell me he really didn't say that?"

Justin was speechless as he looked at his wife who had even stood up at some point reflecting just how furious she was, he really wanted to tell her that Ryan really did say that but... he didn't dare, who knows if she might tear him apart if he did confirm he said that!

'I can't help you here, buddy. I can only hope you do a better job convincing your girl if you do really want to keep her.'

While he was thinking this to himself, Nina paced back and forth as she continued in rage,

"It is not yet time?! Then what has Selena been doing all these years waiting and working hard just to be closer to him. Or does she think i had no idea? A lazy person like her who would rather be a laid back assistant than a director or something because she felt it was too much work, after I got married had started working crazily hard; from my assistant to the CEO of our company after Charlie also retired to travel all around the world. Was it easy? Who did she do it for? Huh!!! He was the one who didn't give her enough security which is why she felt she had to be better and stronger to be by his side as his lover and wife!"

"And after everything she has done, you are telling me now that he said that it wasn't time? You gotta be kidding me!"

She stood and front of him and glared angrily at him but he could see the heartache and the unfairness she felt for her friend in her eyes. Even he began to feel that Ryan had gone too far but... the problem was that he knew the reason he said that, he couldn't say he was wrong in this matter but neither could he say that he was right in the way he handled it.

He could only try and distract Nina and calm her down temporarily, remembering he hadn't seen or heard his baby girl's voice, a bulb went off in his head.

"Honey, where is Emma? She hasn't woken up?", He could only hope that this distracts her.

Nina was still very angry but she regained her reason and remembered her daughter and the promise she made to her before she sent her upstairs. She completely ignored Justin as she made her way upstairs.

Justin opened his mouth to say something but remembered her temper especially when she was angry and kept his mouth shut and could only watch her go upstairs.

Also recalling the reason he came back home, he also stood up to go upstairs. He passed through Emma's bedroom where he could hear his wife and daughter's voices, he paused for a second and with a helpless expression on his face headed towards the study and went to take the document he had forgotten.

Staring the document in his hand, he only wished he could turn back time and insisted on sending his assistant, Larry to come take it instead of coming himself and bringing along Ryan after being persuaded by him after he knew Selena was going over to their home that morning.

The pity he had took upon him especially after knowing that Selena had been avoiding and distancing herself from him these past few days which had triggered his alarm bells had now put him in trouble with his wife.

Stepping out of the study, he happened to meet Nina and their daughter, Emma who were dressed up in the hallway that connected the rooms.

"Daddy!", Emma called out in surprise as she flew over to him like a bird.

He caught her gently in his arms as he looked at her with love his eyes, "Good morning, sweetie. Have you been good? You didn't trouble your mommy?"

Emma nodded quickly at him, "Good morning, daddy! I thought you were already at work. And yes, I have been a really good girl! Mommy and I are now going to the amusement park to play. Are you also coming with us, daddy?"

He glanced over at Nina and seeing that she was still ignoring him, he could only say to Emma, "Sweetie, daddy is busy and came to get something at home so daddy can't go with you today, okay? But daddy will take you out to play some other day."

Emma's eyes which had dimmed on hearing that he wasn't going with them brightened up on hearing the last sentence. As if worried that he might go back on his promise, she stretched out her little pinky finger,

"Pinky promise, daddy?", He chuckled joyfully at his daughter antics and curled his pinky finger around hers.

Emma clapped excitedly after successfully making a pinky promise with her father.

"Then daddy can now go to work and mommy and I will go to the park!", She tapped on his arms meaning for him to put her down.

"We are all going downstairs so what is the rush?", Even though he said that, he still gently put her down and watched her run to her mother and they all went down together.

As they got outside the house, without waiting for Justin, Nina carried Emma and boarded the car she had told the butler to prepare and ordered the chauffeur to drive off.

Justin shook his head helplessly at the car's back. His wife was angry but what else could he do but pamper and spoil her more!
