Nina heaved a helpless sigh as she asked, "So what do you plan to do?"

Selena replied her with an indifferent tone, "What else can I do but break up with him? It has been eight years already, I already wasted enough of my youth. It's about time I let go and face the fact that we both want different things."

Nina was unexpectedly calm at her decision as she already had a guess of what she planned on doing, she had always been aware of her friend's decisiveness. 

It seemed that the eight years she and Ryan had spent together had made her to probably determine if their relationship was going anywhere and from the situation, what she determined and observed meant that he couldn't give her what she wanted. Therefore, there was only one option left, which was for them to separate!

Selena was quite surprised at the fact that she remained calm in the face of her decision so she asked curiously,

"You are not going to persuade me or anything like that?"

Nina rolled her eyes at her inelegantly at her as she retorted with a hint of sarcasm in her tone,

"Why would I persuade you? And... even if I do, don't you already have a decision made in your heart? And I doubt I can even change a decision you already had made, not like I haven't tried before. So thank you, I don't wanna do such a thankless and unfruitful job!"

"If you want to break up, then do it. Don't be wishy-washy about it and after you are over the break up, I will introduce to you some high quality men who are ready to settle down."

Engrossed in their discussion, both women failed to discover the presence of two men standing behind them at the door. One had a warm and gentle smile on his face as he looked at his wife, Nina while the other with his perfectly sculpted face and domineering aura which seemed to repel others a thousand miles away glared gloomily at Selena.

Justin Walters whose temper had gotten better over the years after getting married and becoming a father glanced sideways at his friend's gloomy face as he inwardly sighed helplessly before glancing back at the women, especially his wife who even wanted to introduce other men to his friend's beloved. 

As he continued to be lost in his thoughts, the two women had continued their discussion, 

"Anyways I should have known since the beginning that this relationship was never gonna work out afterall he only decided to get together with me because of what happened back then at the graduation party...", He heard Selena say with a hint of bitterness in her voice.

Ryan and Selena had both decided to get together only because they had gotten drunk at their graduation party back in college and somehow slept together. The next day though, Selena had wanted to treat it as a one night stand and because she also had a crush on Ryan back then, she felt that she had suffered no loss but Ryan on the other hand had insisted that the two of them get together with the reason that it was her first time and he wanted to take responsibility for the mistake he had committed.

On the surface, it seemed like the both of them slept together because they got drunk and got together thereafter because of it.... But as Ryan's friend who has been a witness to his large alcohol capacity, he found that really hard to believe.... 

Justin glanced at Ryan's face which had grown even more gloomier at her words and once again felt that his guess was correct but remembering the dangerous topic both women were still discussing, he made a quick decision to save them, especially his wife from making any more comments that may lead to the complete outrage of the person beside him.

An abrupt cough sounded from behind them catching both women off guard as they simultaneously turned back before stiffening in the next second when they met the gaze of both men.

Nina gave Selena a quick sideways glance just in time to see the flash of panic in her eyes before she put on an indifferent expression on her face. Then remembering everything she had also said especially the part about introducing 'high-quality men' to Selena after the break up, she also panicked and gave Justin a pleading gaze to which he shrugged with a teasing glint in his eyes which seemed to say, ' You are on your own, wifey!"

She glared with annoyance at him as she thought to herself, 'I wonder since when they had come in.... Had they heard everything or is it just a part of it? Arrgh!!!! This is so annoying and that husband of mine is not also helping!!! See how I sort him out after we resolve this mess!"

Ryan Anderson strode over to Selena and looked down at her before grabbing her to stand the next moment, Nina opened her mouth to say something but Justin who had moved over to stand by her side immediately grabbed her hand and shook his head at her with a hint of warning in his eyes.

She looked over at Selena who also shook her head at her. She didn't want to drag her friend into this quagmire moreover this was between Ryan and her, If Nina should say something that makes him more irritated, who knows what this petty man might do.

Afterall he is known for his pettiness and ruthlessness in their social circle and also the underworld. Even his best friends, Justin and Dan tries not to offend him that much, this was also the reason why Justin had stopped Nina from speaking earlier, a petty man isn't dangerous but a petty man with ruthless means should be avoided! 

Afterall you never know what you might say or do that might get on his nerves.

Nina sighed again and could only watch as Ryan almost dragged Selena towards the door and walked out. She sat back on the sofa and leaned tiredly against it.

Justin also took a seat beside her and embraced her in his arm, he talked as he gently stroked her back,

"Don't be so worried about them, they will be fine."

She found a comfortable position in his embrace as she leaned almost bonelessly against him,

"But I am still worried! Maybe you are saying this because you don't know Selena that well but I do, and when she makes a decision, it is almost impossible to make her change it! At least..... Unless there is a valid reason for her to do that..."

"Then Ryan just have to find that reason and it will all be fine."

"But what if he can't? He is so used to being domineering and if he can't find a reason to make her stay, I am worried that he might resort to other means to forcibly tie her to his side..."

And if that happens....
