Chapter 13
The next day, unfortunately, Matthew caught a cold.
He stood in the wind for half a day yesterday. It was no wonder he did. Matthew sadly sent a text message to Paisley: I had a cold. I'm sick.
Paisley was guilty and went to see him. This was the first time she came to the male dormitory.
Matthew covered a quilt and sickly curled up in bed. When he saw her, his eyes lit up and he shouted to his roommates, "My girlfriend is here. Come over and see her!"
Paisley blushed, and his roommates were very cooperative. They stood in a line and called -
"Hi, Mrs. Waylon!"
"Goodbye, Mrs. Waylon!"
After that, they were gone within two minutes and said that they could not disturb the good time of "Young Master".
Paisley was embarrassed, but Matthew was very proud. They were indeed good brothers. He threw back the quilt and invited enthusiastically, "Paise, come in. It's warm."
Paisley ignored him and found a chair to sit down. Matthew said cheekily, "Then come close to me."
Paisley did so, but Matthew said, "Come closer to me."
His dark eyes were full of smiles and Paisley didn't move anymore. This guy was a wicked man. She asked, "Have you taken medicine?"
"Yes, I have. Don't worry. I'm okay," Matthew replied, with a thick snuffle.
Sitting in bed, he talked with Paisley and rubbed his temples from time to time.
Matthew raised his mouth, leaned over, and kissed her. While she was in a daze, he put his arm around her waist, held her lips, and kissed her gently. He didn't let go of her until Paisley pushed him away. He said slyly, "I have told you to sit over. You see, you still can't escape!"
Paisley's face was a little hot. She blushed and grumbled in a flirtish manner, "Aren't you afraid of infecting me with a cold?"
"That's what I want," Matthew wasn't guilty. "You'll understand my pain in the same situation and care about me."
Paisley ignored him but didn't move away. She sat beside him and picked up a book to read.
It was We Three written by Yang Jiang. Paisley always read carefully and her eyes were fixed on the book.
Only the two of them were in the dormitory. It got quiet all of a sudden. Matthew endured for a while and then sang a song: For you, I can stand the cold wind. In the lonely time, I always shed tears.
Paisley smiled but still didn't speak. Matthew was dissatisfied and asked pitifully, "Paise, you came to see me, and why don't you look at me?"
Paisley looked up and glanced at him, "Is it enough?"
Matthew laughed and said, "Can you give me a glance again?"
Paisley was speechless.
This time, Paisley really ignored him. Matthew was helpless, leaning on her. He was very happy that Paisley snuggled by his side quietly like this, and he picked up a strand of her long hair to play.
Although the two were just in a relationship, after all, they had known each other for so long, and they met each other every day, so there was a natural intimacy between them. Although the atmosphere was quiet, they were like soaking in honey. While one was watching the book, the other was playing with her hair. Until Paisley finally remembered that Matthew was by her side, she pointed at a sentence in the book and motioned to Matthew.
From now on, there will be only parting at death but no more separation in life between us.
Paisley looked at Matthew with limpid eyes and asked softly, "Will you?"
The look in her eyes was so light and so heavy; the affection was so shallow and so deep.
Matthew's heart was soft, and he put his hand on the back of her hand. Her hand was small, and Matthew could almost wrap it with his hand.
Matthew thought to himself, "I'll hold your hand and grow old with you together." He leaned over and kissed the corner of her mouth gently, which was like stamping. He said, "Yes, I will."
From now on, there will be only parting at death but no more separation in life between us.
In fact, although they were in love, there was no change in life.
Matthew could finally take Paisley's hand publicly. In the words of her roommates, he could unashamedly show affection.
Paisley was still indifferent to him, but when she looked at him, her eyes were full of affection.
Matthew was very happy, and they walked together hand in hand. and their young hearts pounded and were full of love. He wanted to kiss her and hug her, but his Paise was hardhearted. It was a gift that he could take her hand, but he could secretly do other things with his wit. Fortunately, Matthew was smart and always brazen-faced.
In the second semester of her sophomore year, Dawson graduated and returned to Oakwood in June.
When he was leaving, he said goodbye to the two. He said, "I hope we all can meet in the future."
That being said, Paisley thought that they might rarely see each other.
Many people said "see you again" to others, but they might never meet again. Paisley was a little sad. She thought that she and Dawson could become the kind of people who could be found in their cell phone address books, but would not contact each other anymore. Some people, that's it, accompanied you for some time, and then disappeared from your life.
Matthew joked, "You fondly think of another man, and your boyfriend will be unhappy."
Paisley hit him, and he comforted her again, "When we return to Oakwood, we'll go to Dawson."
Paisley shook her head, and Matthew didn't understand. People needed to build relationships. The families were as close as flesh and blood, and there was affection between the couples. But she had nothing to do with Dawson and they weren't even friends. They only knew each other well. It was rare, but it was easy to break.
However, she still thanked Dawson. If it wasn't for him, she would not have the courage to be with Matthew.
This summer, Paisley Logan didn't return to Plence.
Her grandpa was very old and in poor health. Her mother brought him to Oakwood not long ago. Paisley was going to return to Oakwood, which made Matthew happy. Before the summer holiday, Matthew began to plan where to travel with Paisley. Paisley was tired and pushed his head away, "I'll accompany Grandpa and have no time!"
"Hey, do you forget that you're my girlfriend?"
"No," Paisley crisply.
"Even if you want to take care of your grandpa," Matthew was unhappy, "Occasionally, you should find time to accompany me!"
Paisley laughed and said seriously, "Don't indulge in sensual pleasures, and you should put your study first!"
After she finished speaking, she felt wrong and she blushed. She lowered her head to read the book and no longer ignored him.
Matthew laughed and stared at Paisley with his dark and bright eyes. He really liked her very much!
It was okay. When he returned to Oakwood, he could do what he wanted.
On the day of the final exam, the two returned to Oakwood.
Matthew's friend came to pick him up. It was a girl, who was tall and wore light makeup. She wore a blackish-green T-shirt, skinny jeans, and sandals, which made her look beautiful and cool. The moment she saw Matthew, she rushed over.
"Bastard! You kept me waiting for a long time!"
"Hey, Stella, mind your words and deeds," Matthew helped the girl stand erectly and then pointed at Paisley proudly, "My girlfriend is watching us."
The girl who was called Stella tilted her head and looked at Paisley. "Did she accept you?"
Matthew nodded and put his arm around Paisley proudly, "This is my Paise, Paisley Logan."
He also pointed to the girl. "This is my childhood friend, Stella. Paise, although she is a girl, I think she is actually a man!"
"Go away. You're a man, and your families all are smelly men." Stella laughed very boldly, put her elbow on Matthew's shoulder, and pointed to Paisley with her thumbs, "My name is Stella Tucker. Everyone calls me Stella."
"Hey, my name is Paisley Logan." Paisley liked such a girl, who had a gift of the gab.
"Paisley?" Stella read the name playfully. She threw the car key to Matthew very chicly and took Paisley's arm intimately, "You drive, and I want to chat with Paise!"
It was an off-road vehicle, a model that all men liked.
Matthew's eyes really brightened. "Stella, you just didn't admit it. If you are not a man, why do you always drive such a car?"
"It's none of your business." Stella deliberately pinched her voice and pulled Paisley into the back seat of the car.
As soon as they sat down, Stella stared at Paisley, which made Paisley embarrassed. "What's wrong?"
"You are different from what I think," Stella leaned over. "This guy has bad taste. When I think about his ex-girlfriend, my chest is painful."
Paisley was embarrassed, and Matthew shouted in front, "Stella, I warn you. Don't slander me!"
"Do I need to slander you? There are two words on your face, a menace! I have not been hurt by you, and that is because you don't like men."
Paisley was speechless.
Stella was very talkative. In just a while, she praised Matthew by a way of joking. Although it was the first time they met, Stella was friendly to Paisley. When they got out of the car, Stella even stuffed something in her bag and said it was a gift for her. At a glance, Paisley blushed, and it was a box of Durex.
Paisley was shocked. Stella didn't give her a chance to say no, held her, and whispered, "Take it. Men are beasts! I know Matthew well. He can control his lust for some time, but finally, he must want to have sex with you."
Matthew stopped the car, opened the door, and asked with a smile, "What are you saying about me?"
"I just praised you. You're a good boy from a young age and excel in every way. Besides, you particularly care about the female classmates." Stella let go of Paisley and said with a smile, "Paise, come out to play with me if you're free. I'll tell you the romantic affairs of Matthew, which are enough for him to kneel on the keyboard a hundred times!"
"Bah, I don't have romantic affairs!"
Matthew laughed and helped Paisley take her luggage upstairs.
There were elevators in the community. There was nobody during this period, so only the two of them were in the elevator.
Paisley looked around at Matthew, who was wearing a cowboy T-shirt. Others put down their collars but he erected his collar, which made him look very energetic and handsome. She thought of Stella's words: his ex-girlfriend and romantic affairs. The more she looked, the more she felt he was a dandy, especially his charming eyes, like a peach blossom. She grew angry for no reason.
When they got out of the elevator, her grandpa was at home. He was very happy to see Paisley. He was happier when he saw the boy he met before. He smiled and asked him to come in to drink tea.
Paisley coldly said, "Next time. Stella is still waiting for you downstairs."
Matthew thought about it and then said, "Grandpa, I'll go back first."
"Paise, you send him off!" Grandpa directly chased her away.
The two stood and waited for the elevator.
Matthew was in a good mood because he finally returned to Oakwood. This time, he could take Paise to go out. He happily suggested, "Paise, Stella is funny. Let's go out to play together when you have time."
"Do I go to listen to your romantic affairs?" Paisley asked.
Matthew realized that she was very different from before today. Although she looked indifferent, she hadn't talked to him in such a light tone for a long time. He suddenly realized something and never thought that Paise would be jealous. Matthew leaned over, "Paise, are you angry?"
"No."
"Then why don't you smile at me!" Matthew stepped forward, stared at her, and said firmly, "You're angry and jealous!"
Seeing he was so happy, Paisley turned her head and ignored him.
Matthew's eyebrows were curved. He held her face and stared at her. "Paise, look at me."
He called gently, and his voice was soft, light, and charming. "Look, who is in my eyes now?"
The two were so close, and only she was in his affectionate eyes. Matthew got close to her a little bit, and their breath blended, and his lips were almost close to hers. With the sound of "Ding", the elevator arrived, and Paisley was suddenly sober and pushed him away, "Go down!"
Matthew reluctantly let go of her and entered the elevator. Seeing the elevator door slowly close, Paisley slowly blushed.
Paisley leaned on the wall and patted her face, which was hot. Damn, Matthew, bastard. His eyes were so attractive, like a magnet. He always liked to speak close to her. His eyes were damn charming!
When he was about to leave, the elevator door was open again. It was Matthew. She said in surprise, "Why did you come..."
Her body was pushed to the wall, and her waist was wrapped hard. Matthew helped the back side of Paisley's head and kissed her possessively. Paisley had no chance to refuse. He seemed to rub her into her arms and his heart.
After a while, Matthew let go of Paisley, stroked her red lips lovingly, and looked into her eyes with water vapor. The two were panting slightly, and Matthew stared at her. His eyes were more charming and he said in a low voice, "Are you at peace?"
"Go away!" Paisley pushed him away shyly.
Matthew saw her run away. For a long time, he smiled and went downstairs contentedly.
Paisley returned home, and her face was still red.
Grandpa asked with a smile, "Paise, are your classmates gone?"
He particularly emphasized the words "your classmates", and Paisley pretended to be unknown, "Yes."
"Oh." Grandpa laughed happily and didn't ask anymore. Then he said, "As long as you are happy, Paise!"
Happy? She was really happy with Matthew.
Paisley thought of the scene just now and her face was burning again.
She held her grandpa from behind, and her face was close to the back of her grandpa. She said in a cute way, "Grandpa, I'm the happiest when I stay with you!"
She was really happy.
Over the next few days, Paisley accompanied her grandpa to the hospital for an examination.
Her grandpa was very old and had diseases. He had high blood pressure and asthma. His asthma was getting worse. Paisley was very worried when she listened to the doctor and took her grandpa's hand all the time.
Her grandpa understood her and comforted her, "Paise, don't worry."
How could she not worry about him? She was not afraid of anything, but she was afraid of losing her Grandpa. She couldn't live without him.
In the past few days, Matthew called her several times and asked her to go out.
It was hot. Besides, she wanted to accompany her grandpa, so she always refused his invitation, which made Matthew a little unhappy. He said that his friends wanted to see his girlfriend. But she still refused his invitation and didn't care about him at all.
Paisley was very worried about her grandpa, so she only said anxiously, "I'm such a person, you know." Then she hung up on him.
Her grandpa felt guilty. "Go out to play, Paise. It's boring that you always stay at home."
"Never mind about him. Let's continue watching TV. He isn't as important as you!"
That being said, however, Paisley was unaware of checking her cell phone, thinking, "Is he... really angry?"
Paisley was uneasy and ambivalent. She felt she was a little cold to Matthew. But she also felt that Matthew was not considerate. He knew that she wanted to accompany her grandpa. Paisley kept thinking like this, but her cell didn't ring anymore as if it didn't work.
"Well, Matthew, you bastard! You used to be attentive to me. Now I just hung up, and you didn't call back!" Paisley thought.
When Paisley was thinking, her cell phone rang. She picked it up without looking at the phone number. "What are you doing?"
The person on the other end of the phone was a little surprised and asked wonderingly, "Paise?"
It was Madison, and Paisley was a little embarrassed. Her tone became light, "Mom, what's going on?"
"If you are free today, go to the hospital and get the medicine for your grandpa. Last time, a kind of medicine was missing."
"Okay, I'll go now."
"Don't forget. The doctor said that your grandfather was so old that he easily got sick. So we must take good care of him." She remembered something again, "By the way, I have something to do tonight, so I may not go home."
"I see. Don't worry. I'll go now!"
After she hung up, she told her grandpa that she went to get the medicine, so she went out.
As soon as she walked to the gate of the community, she heard that someone was honking the car horn wildly.
Paisley looked back and saw Stella stick out her head and shouted, "Paise, get in the car!"
Paisley walked to the door, and there was no one else in the car. Stella said with a smile, "Are you looking for Matthew? You hung up on him and he was sad. Get in my car and I'll take you to find him."
Paisley thought that she had to get the medicine. So she said, "Another time. I have to go to the hospital now."
She was about to leave, and Stella hurriedly opened the door. She chased out and stopped her, "As Matthew said, you're stubborn. Get in the car and do me a favor. I've promised Matthew that I'll take you to see him."
"I'm really busy today."
"Nothing can be more important than Matthew's birthday, right?" Stella was anxious and chided, "Today is his birthday. Everyone is here, and you're the only one left. You forgot his birthday and aren't even willing to see him."
Paisley was a little embarrassed because of her words. She thought about it and realized that today was indeed Matthew's birthday. She was recently worried about her grandpa and forgot that. They had known each other for two years, and Matthew always prepared her birthday with great care, but she forgot his birthday. She really did something wrong.
"Let's go." Stella continued to persuade her.
Forget it, and it's still early. When she went back, she went to the hospital at once.
Paisley got in the car and didn't expect that this would completely change her and Matthew's life because of her hesitation.
Later, Paisley wondered whether she would go on well with Matthew if nothing happened that night.
Would they? Paisley asked herself, and at that time, she did not even have the courage to answer this question.
Young people liked to spend their birthdays getting together with their friends.
So did Matthew. It was a private club. It was a hidden but beautiful spot. As soon as she entered, she listened to the deafening music and saw a group of men and women playing together. Stella took Paisley in and greeted others all the way as if she was the owner of the party.
Matthew was in the innermost room, which was not as noisy outside. There were some fruit plates and wine on the table. The beautifully packed gifts were thrown on the sofa at will. In the room, there were all young men and women of about the same age, in pairs. Matthew was sitting in the middle and was focusing on playing games with his friends, and there were several empty wine bottles around him.
As soon as Stella came in, she pushed Paisley over, "Matthew Waylon, I brought your girlfriend over. How will you repay me?"
"Oh -" As soon as Paisley appeared, the people in the room collectively made a joking noise.
Matthew didn't lift his head and muttered, "Why did you bring her over? I have nothing to do with her."
"Yo, someone is angry..." Everyone continued to tease.
Paisley stood there and was about to leave. She was not good at communication and was always dissocial. She was very afraid of this kind of occasion. But today Matthew was abnormal. She would have gone if it was before, but she was a little guilty about Matthew and didn't want him to be angry again.
She was thinking about what to do when the door was opened. The comer said, "Paise, you're here."
It was Dawson, and he was now in Oakwood too. When he went to Paisley, he said naturally, "Sit down."
Paisley finally saw a familiar person, and she couldn't help but relax. When she was about to sit down, Matthew stood up sharply, pulled Paisley over, and let her sit next to him. Then she held her shoulders and said to everyone, "This is my girlfriend, Paisley Logan."
"Your Paise. We understand." They joked again.
Someone came over, holding his glass. "Paisley, as customary, you're late and you should drink one glass of wine as a punishment!"
Matthew pushed away the man and laughed, "Go away, my Paise doesn't drink."
As soon as he spoke, Paisley became soft. This was Matthew she knew. He was just angry with her. After knowing him for so long, she understood that Matthew was good at social activity and looked mature, but in fact, he was like a child. The closer she was to him, the more she found that he was like a child that hadn't grown up much. When he was angry, he would be happy again as long as she said good things to him.
Paisley smelled alcohol on his breath and pulled his sleeves, "Why did you drink so much?"
"You hang up on me!"
"You forgot my birthday!"
"You must not prepare a gift for me!"
Matthew complained sadly. When he said the last sentence, he was more aggrieved.
Paisley felt guilty but wanted to laugh. She teased him, "So many people give you gifts. Are you still not satisfied?"
"No! Anyone can not give me a gift, only you can not."
"Why?"
Matthew stared at her discontentedly, and his eyes seemed to be saying, "Don't you know?"
Paisley was soft and said in a cute way, "Okay, I'm sorry."
She never acted like this. Matthew was stunned and his anger disappeared a lot. "Do you really want to apologize to me?"
Paisley nodded. Matthew whispered in her ear and his burning breath got into her ears. "You give yourself to me sexually, okay?"
Paisley blushed immediately. Matthew was happy and gently scraped her nose with his finger, "I'm just teasing you."
He smiled and said, "If you spend more time with me, I will be satisfied."
Paisley laughed and played with Matthew for a while. But she was thinking about getting medicine. After a short time, she told Matthew that she had to go back. This time Matthew was really angry. He was on his birthday today, so he drank the most. Now he began to get drunk. "You don't care about me at all."
"After I get the medicine, I'll come right away, okay?"
"No, you can't go!"
"Matthew, you listen to me..."
Paisley begged him, but Matthew couldn't listen to her. He was a little drunk.
They made a lot of noise, so everyone came around again. They drank a little bit. Someone put three glasses on the table, "You can leave early, but you must drink them first!"
There were three different kinds of alcohol in front of her.
Paisley looked at Matthew. Matthew was angry and deliberately looked away. Dawson stood up, saying that he drank instead of her. But he was stopped.
"Matthew," Paisley called him softly. Matthew still didn't say anything, playing games with others.
Paisley was a little bit sad. For the first time when she was forced to drink, he helped her out. But this time, he forced her. She was anxious and angry. She picked up the glass and poured it into her mouth recklessly. Then she completely lost consciousness and didn't know what happened next.
When she woke up again, she was in a different place.
It was Matthew in front of her. He lay above Paisley and kissed her continually. He murmured, "Paise, Paise..."
"Matthew," Paisley pushed him away. She thought she had a headache and felt weak. She felt that Matthew above her was very heavy, so she tried to push him away. "You're too heavy. Don't press on me."
Matthew didn't seem to hear it and continued to kiss Paisley. He said while kissing, "Arnold, I like you so much. I really like you so much."
Like? I also like you too.
Paisley thought so. Her heart became warm. She relaxed. This was Matthew, and she also liked Matthew.
It wasn't until her clothes were taken off and the cold air of the air-conditioned invaded her skin that she felt wrong. What was going on? Why did Matthew take off her clothes? Paisley finally came to her senses. She saw Matthew was naked and so strange. She struggled, "Go away, Matthew. Don't do this!" Don't!"
Matthew didn't seem to hear it. He held Paisley's hands and pressed her, coaxing, "Paise, don't be afraid. It's me."
"Don't do this. I don't want to," Paisley cried and pushed him away. "Matthew, I don't want..."
She was scared. She was not ready. She liked Matthew, but it should not be like this when they first had sex. Paisley struggled desperately, but Matthew was crazy. He seemed to be another man who was naked, savage, powerful, and strong. He was no longer cheerful, gentle, and considerate. He was like a fearsome beast, holding her, and pressing her tightly. He didn't listen to her at all and just kissed her constantly.
Perhaps this was what Matthew really looked like. He was too suppressed for too long and finally, his lust broke out. He got into Paisley's body fiercely. When her body was torn, it was followed by Paisley's cry and Matthew's contented whisper.
"I love you, Paise."
It was like a sigh, which was kneaded into the tears of Paisley in horror and became a thorn of pain day and night.
In the past, Paisley said, "I hated love". Later, she said, "I hate you".
He had no pity for her.
He hurt her mind and body.
