Chapter 101 Fake Couple

Chapter 101 Fake Couple
"By the way, I have something to tell you."
Teresa changed the subject.
She still spoke briskly, so that Hubert could not perceive that she was angry because of his silence.
For some reason, Hubert was disturbed because she didn't get angry.
"What's the matter?"
"Grandma said that she wanted to come to our house for two days on weekends. She asked me to tell you, for fear that you would disagree. You are her grandson, so why would you disagree?"
The elder lady was just afraid of disturbing the couple's private world.
The elder lady thought too much.
Hubert and Teresa were just a couple in name, not to mention a private world of them.
During the day, they were busy with their own matters respectively.
At night, they slept separately.
They hardly had a chance for small talk, but just talked to each other when necessary.
At the beginning of the flash marriage, she felt that her marriage was to live together but never to bother each other like roommates. Now, their marriage was really what she thought.
Teresa had a feeling of being touched by Hubert. However, the flame of love immediately choked off as Hubert was indifferent to her when she came to pick him up after work.
It might be better to live by the agreement.
Anyway, she would be single again after five months.
Hubert, in fact, didn't want grandma to come to their house. Grandma was so cunning like an old fox. She was always tricking her grandchildren.
Knowing that he and Teresa were still couples in name, she would definitely do everything possible to put them on the same bed as she came.
"We also have things to do on the weekends. We don't have time to spend with grandma. It was better for her to stay at her own home than at our home. After all, her son and daughter-in-law can accompany her as they are retired."
At Hubert's words, Teresa tilted her head to look at him.
No wonder her grandmother reminded her repeatedly that she must tell Hubert about this and not make decisions without his permission.
It turned out that this guy didn't want grandma to come over.
"Don't you want grandma to come and stay for two days? It's not for a long time, just two days. Grandma said that even if she comes, she will only arrive in the afternoon. I think it's okay even if grandma settles in our home. If grandma feels bored at home, she can also go to my store."
"Mr. Donovan, that's your grandma."
"If it wasn't for grandma's request," Hubert murmured in his heart, "would I marry you?"
But he said, "I don't mean that grandma should not come over. Anyway, I will call and tell grandma about this."
After being silent for a while, Teresa asked him tentatively, "Mr. Donovan, are you, um, in bad with your grandma? Don't you think it's too quiet in our small family? With one more person, it can be more lively."
Grandma enjoyed crowds very much.
Teresa felt that the home would be the home when she returned home with their grandmother.
"I like living alone. That's why I have been living outside."
Teresa gave up, "...Well, at your will."
"But our house is too quiet. Even if grandma comes over, she will stay here for a couple of days. Mr. Donovan, can I have dogs and cats?"
Hubert glanced at her, then continued to look at the road ahead. he said indifferently, "Dogs and cats can't talk, and they will tear apart, lose their hair, and they will urinate everywhere. I hate it! Of course, if you keep them in your room all the time and don't let them dangle in front of me, I will No comments."
Teresa was speechless.
The conversation couldn't be continued anymore.

Teresa stopped talking and sat quietly, silently watching the street scene through the car window.
When she returned to the store, Leila had just arrived.
"Sister."
Teresa called her sister as she got out of the car.
Leila turned her head and saw her little sister and her husband, with a smile on her roly-poly face. She asked her sister, "Where did you go with Hubert?"
"I asked him to come over for dinner and wait for him at his company. How is it? Have you found a job?"
After Hubert got out of the car, he also greeted Leila.
Leila responded with a smile. As her sister mentioned the work, she shook her head with a sad expression, and said, "I haven't found it yet. I've sent a bunch of resumes, but I haven't heard back, or I am just rejected."
After a while, she added, "Knowing that I have a child who is only two years old, they actually said that I would be easily distracted and couldn't concentrate on work because my child needed me. I almost get mad. Why do they have a stereotype that Mom can't concentrate on work?"
I told them that my child would be taken care of well. I can definitely concentrate on my work during work hours. However, they can't listen to me as if they don't have ears. Why is a mother discriminated against when looking for a job?"
Leila had no gains half of the day, tired and hungry.
It seemed to be the same as what her in-laws said. They said that she couldn't live without Patrick.
She had been out of touch with society for three years.
She didn't have any advantage. No. As for looking for a job, she couldn't choose where she would work but the company chose her.
She had thought about being the financial director as she did in the past. Now it seems that it would be wonderful if she could find a job.
"Sister, it's okay. Don't worry. You will always find a suitable job." Teresa comforted her sister.
They walked into the store hand in hand, "Take it easy. Have something to eat and have a good rest. Then go look for it in the afternoon, or submit a resume online and wait for an interview before going out."
"I also submitted my resume online, but I received few calls for interviews."
Leila was full of confidence as she decided to return to the workplace. However, after looking for a job all morning, she suddenly felt a little less confident.
Perhaps, she should lower her sights, Leila thought. She might try other jobs.
"Is Andy fine?"
"He's very well. Gwen is accompanying him. He had a lot of fun with her. When I went to pick up Hubert, he slept after eating and drinking. He should still be asleep now."
Leila smiled, "When he was with me, he was very naughty. But he is very obedient when I am not around."
She went to see her son who was sleeping soundly. She touched his little face, leaned down to kiss him, and then came out to eat with Hubert and Teresa.
"Mr. Donovan, drink more soup. You are too busy with your work."
Teresa served an extra bowl of soup for her man.
Leila heard her sister call her brother-in-law Mr. Donovan and said, "It's too unfamiliar for you to call Hubert a Mr. Donovan."
Teresa giggled and said, "It's okay. I call him causally. Anyway, he's used to it."
Hubert also echoed, "Sister, Teresa and I are both like this. We can call each other whatever we want. Sometimes I also call her Miss Heller."
Leila said with a smile, "Okay, this is the boudoir fun of your husband and wife. I'm happy for you."
When she and Patrick got married in the beginning, it was the time of their deep love. They called each other honey and sweetie.
It was hard to say when she called him Patrick or his last name. He also called her name directly.
It seemed that Patrick hadn't called her sweetie for a long time.
