Chapter 102 He Was Teresa's Husband
After lunch, Leila said to go home to rest.
After looking for a job for half day, she felt very tired.
She was a bit hit for failing to find a job. She planned to go home and rewrite a few resumes. She tried to lower her sight and look for a job.
"Sister, I'll take you back."
Leila looked at her brother-in-law.
Hubert said at the right time, "Sister, I'll go back to the company first."
"Well, take care," Leila warned. After her brother-in-law left, she went to pick up her son who was still asleep and got into her sister's car. She said, "If Hubert doesn't eat for a long time at noon, you can send his lunch to the company. It takes too much time to return home and have lunch. He doesn't have time to rest at noon."
"Got it." Teresa started the car.
She would never go to the Donovan Group again.
She didn't say this, so as not to be taught by her sister. It could be seen that her sister recognized Hubert her brother-in-law very much.
When Hubert returned to the company, it was time for work.
As soon as he got out of the elevator, the secretary saw him and said respectfully, "Mr. Donovan, Mr. Swan is waiting for you."
Hubert nodded, walked towards his office with steady steps, and instructed the secretary, "Make a cup of coffee without sugar or milk."
He liked plain coffee.
The secretary said instinctively, "You usually don't drink coffee in the afternoon."
Hubert usually drank a cup of coffee in the morning to last the whole day. If he drank another cup of coffee in the afternoon, he would lose sleep at night.
Therefore, he did not drink coffee in the afternoon.
Hubert didn't respond to the secretary. The secretary didn't dare to speak anymore. After Hubert entered the office, he hurried to make coffee for his boss.
Pushing the door and going in, Hubert saw that Morgan was standing in front of the window with the binoculars. He seemed to observe something. With a heavy expression on his face, Hubert strode over and took back the binoculars, "Don't mess with my things."
"You look guilty."
Morgan teased, "You put it on the table, and I'll take a look."
The two returned to the table and sat down, and Hubert put the telescope away.
"At noon, did your wife come?"
"Morgan, aren't you busy? Don't gossip every day."
Morgan said hilariously, "It's too boring to do things for you. It's rare to have a little entertainment. Your pot of fortune tree is a bit bigger than the one on Chad's desk. Your wife is so ingenious. These handicrafts are as vivid as life."
Hubert said lightly, "Can Chad compare with me?"
He was Teresa's husband.
Chad was just her brother-in-law.
Morgan, "...I will also ask my secretary to buy a bigger one for me. I will put it on my desk to see if I can make a fortune."
Hubert glanced at him, "It's better to buy all the handicrafts in her store."
"I work for you. You pay me wages and ask me to go to your wife's store to spend. Then the wages that I get from you go into your wife's wallet. Hubert, can you be more treacherous?"
"Next time I will dig a big hole to trap you and you will know how treacherous I can be."
"Well, well. I won't make fun of you anymore." Morgan gave in to him.
"Young Master Richie is gone?" Hubert asked about the business.
"Well. He left as soon as the contract was signed. After lunch, he went back to Astroy City. Those bodyguards of his... really stick to him."
Hubert said lightly, "Richie's boxing skills are not very good. The Rosatte family is the same as us Donovan family in Astroy City. They are also the number one wealthy family. For the sake of safety, Richie can only bring more bodyguards with him. You don't know it until now. Why do you make a fuss? If you envy him, you can also bring ten or eight bodyguards every day."
Morgan did not bring bodyguards. He could protect himself well.
Moreover, few people knew his true identity. If he went out with bodyguards, it will be too conspicuous.
The two were talking about business, and the secretary knocked on the door.
"Mr. Donovan, the coffee is ready." The secretary brought the freshly brewed coffee and gently placed it in front of Hubert.
After the secretary went out, Morgan joked with his friend and boss, "Being lovey-dovey with your wife, you don't have the energy to go to work in the afternoon, right? Drink two more cups of coffee."
Hubert's face was heavy.
It wasn't true. He felt that there was a little unpleasantness between him and Teresa.
She came to pick him up for lunch, but he didn't look happy. She didn't say anything, let alone be angry. Hubert dared to say that she would never come to the Donovan Group to pick him up from getting off work in the future.
"What's wrong? With such a pale face, could it be a quarrel between husband and wife? I think Teresa has a good temper."
She was not an unreasonable person.
Keeping silent for a long time, after all, he didn't say the reason. Though Morgan's mouth was as close as an oyster, he liked to gossip. He was afraid that one day Morgan was drunk and spit out all his affairs as Morgan knew too much. But he wanted to ask Morgan for some way to ease the invisible deadlock between him and Teresa.
So, he said, "I seem to have hurt her heart a bit."
Morgan's eyes lit up, and he asked repeatedly, "How did it hurt? Tell me about it."
Hubert kicked him under the table.
Morgan was kicked by him but said with a grin, "Leave a half-sentence on your tongue, you will be appalled. Hubert, don't do this."
"No matter how I hurt her heart, just tell me what should I do."
"Send her a gift."
Hubert pulled a long face.
He couldn't do romantic things like that.
"The most direct method is also the most effective. You throw her down and love her fiercely. I'm sure she will not be angry with you."
When the sound fell, he was kicked by Hubert again.
Morgan got up and dragged the chair away, sitting far away, so as not to be kicked by Hubert all the time.
"If you get a marriage certificate, you are a husband and wife. Husbands and wives always want that, so you and your husband will never do anything, right?"
Hubert frowned.
He didn't even allow her to step into the room, for fear that she would take advantage of him.
He didn't want to go in her room either, for fear of seeing something he shouldn't have seen like the first night.
"However, this is also your normal way of dealing with it. After all, if you were forced to marry her by your grandmother, maybe you will divorce soon."
Morgan knew Hubert well and guessed the marriage between Hubert and Teresa was very dull. They were just like roommates.
"Are you looking forward to my divorce?" Hubert asked gloomily.
He picked up the cup of coffee and took two sips.
Morgan smiled and said: "Why do I expect you to get divorced? It's not good for me. But I guess you don't plan to be a husband and wife with Teresa for a lifetime. You just deal with your grandma. Otherwise, you won't marry in secret."
"Hidden marriage is unfair to your wife and makes her feel wronged. If you don't care whether she is wronged or not, it means you don't plan to spend the rest of your life with her. In this case, if you marry her secretly, it became her protection. After the two of you are separated, it will not affect her remarriage."
For some reason, listening to Morgan's analysis, he was even more disturbed when it came to Teresa's remarriage.
