Chapter 81 Hubert was Considerate

Chapter 81 Hubert was Considerate
Hubert wasn't angry. He just didn't want Teresa to see him smiling.
He walked into the building. And then, he realized that his wife wasn't catching up. He stopped, turned his head, and asked her seriously, "Are you going to stand there all night?"
Teresa came back to her senses and ran to him happily.
"Mr. Donovan, you're not angry anymore?"
Hubert gave her a cold look, which was a normal look on his face, and reached out to poke her in the forehead, saying, "Don't do it again!"
Teresa raised her hands like a pupil who had made a mistake and promised, "I promise I won't do it again."
Saying nothing, Hubert turned around and walked away. Teresa hurried to follow him.
Looking at his sturdy back, Teresa sobered up. She thought to herself, 'Grandma told me to make a move on him and get him. But I really have no confidence to do that with his cold look.'
However, it was really fun to tease him.
She dared to flirt with him like this just because she got one shot. Usually, she would just touch his face at most. And he was like defending her from perverts when she touched his face, as if she was not touching his face but taking off his pants.
When they got home, Hubert went into the kitchen.
Teresa did not know what he was going to do. She asked him about what he was doing. But she got no answer. So, she didn't want to embarrass herself and went to the balcony. She sat down on the swing chair and leaned back on the back of the chair. She pointed her toes against the floor to make the swing chair swing gently.
But she was thinking about Leila's marriage.
She and Hubert got married as soon as they met. They didn't know each other before they got married. But after they got married, they were respectful of each other. Probably, it was because they weren't very familiar with each other and didn't expose their flaws.
It was undeniable that she lived a more comfortable life than Leila.
At least, she wouldn't feel sad no matter how Hubert treated her. Because she didn't love him!
But Leila and Patrick had run a serious relationship before they got married. Leila said she had no feelings for Patrick anymore. But Teresa thought Leila might still have some feelings for Patrick. What was more, they had Andy.
Thinking about how loving Leila and Patrick used to be, Teresa sighed.
'Is marriage the tube of love?'
In just three years, Patrick dared to beat Leila.
"Teresa."
Hubert called her from inside the house, which brought Teresa's distant thoughts back.
She answered him. And then she heard him say, "I made you a glass of wake-up juice. Come in and drink it. And then you should go to bed. If you have anything else, leave it for tomorrow."
He knew that Teresa was concerned about Leila and wanted to take revenge for Leila.
It was late at night and she was drunk. So, Hubert didn't want to talk to her much at this time.
Teresa was silent for a while. She didn't expect him to go into the kitchen to make her a wake-up juice.
She got up, left the balcony, and went back inside.
As long as they wouldn't fall in love with each other, they would get divorced after six months and keep on with their lives respectively.
With this thought, Teresa admonished herself in her heart that she should never flirt with him in the name of being drunk again.
They should be a peaceful couple, in name only.
Hubert put a glass of wake-up juice on the dining room table. Seeing her come in, he said coldly, "The juice is here. Wash the glass when you finish this."
After that, he turned around and went back to his room. He locked his door as he always did. It was preventing her from peeking in and getting in.
After several minutes, Teresa muttered, "You think I want to go into your room? I won't go in even if you beg me one day."

Teresa stopped muttering when she thought that she always locked the door after entering her room. In the end, it was all the aftermath of getting married too fast.
After finishing the glass of wake-up juice Hubert had made for her, Teresa went back to her room.
They didn't talk again at night.
The next day, Teresa woke up when the sun had already risen.
She touched her phone from the bedside table and saw that it was already seven o'clock. She was used to getting up early and rarely got up until this time. She usually got up at around six in the morning.
It was because she had a glass of spirits last night.
Luckily, she didn't have a headache when she woke up.
But she felt so hungry.
Last night, she was so pissed off and sad about what happened to Leila. So, she didn't have much food. Now, she was hungry.
She changed her clothes and washed herslef very quickly. She walked out of the room and wanted to go into the kitchen to prepare breakfast. But the table was already set with breakfast, her favorite German breakfast. The table was filled with a variety of dishes.
Hubert came out of the kitchen with two bowls of seafood soup. And when he saw Teresa coming out of her room, he said lightly, 'When I got up, you were still sleeping. So, I went outside and packed some breakfast. I made seafood soup for you."
"I thought you made all of these." She almost praised him for being a chef.
It turned out that he had brought these dishes back.
Teresa was hungry. She didn't act pretentious in front of her husband. She took a seat at the table, picked up her tableware, and had a piece of ham first.
"It tastes excellent. It's not from a nearby breakfast store, right?"
Generally, the breakfast store might have some German-style breakfast. But the taste was not as good as those fancy restaurants.
"I drove to the Watenll City Hotel and bought these. The breakfast at the Watenll City Hotel was famous for its rich style and excellent taste. So, I thought we should have the best if we wanted to eat."
In fact, those dishes were brought back by Hubert's bodyguards by his order.
"Well, that's what I think. I'm with you on the attitude toward food. If I want to try a dish, I will have the best version."
Teresa tasted Hubert's soup again and thought it tasted good too. She laughed, "Mr. Donovan, I didn't expect you to have the potential to be a chef."
Hubert didn't respond.
When they almost finished the meal, Hubert suddenly said, "Teresa, don't go to seek for Patrick's trouble today."
"Why?"
"You have to ask your sister whether she still wants to live with Patrick or not. If she still wants to go on with him, you, as the sister-in-law, should not go to seek his trouble. Of course, you can't pretend that nothing has happened. You have the right to question him."
"Although you and Leila are very close, she might have spent the rest of her life with Patrick. If you go and make a big fuss, how will they keep on with their life? Or if they make up with each other, you, as a sister, will be the one to be blamed. Your sister will blame you for teaching Patrick a lesson."
Hubert had never gotten married before. Teresa was his first wife. He had no experience of running a marriage. But he had heard that when a couple fought, the wife's family sought justice for her, which resulted in the couple never getting along again. And when the couple got divorced, the wife would blame her family instead.
Because that wife did not want to divorce.
Hubert's words were not very pleasant to hear, but what he said made sense.
Leila had said that she would get a divorce. But she hadn't mentioned it to Patrick explicitly. And Teresa didn't know if Leila could really make up her mind about it.
And according to her character, Teresa would beat up Patrick hard when she went to Patrick for an explanation. If she really made Patrick injured, would Leila care about Patrick?
