Chapter 82 The Clothes My Wife Sent Me

Chapter 82 The Clothes My Wife Sent Me
"I'm not saying I won't let you take revenge for your sister. If your sister and Patrick have broken up and will never have a chance to get back together, I'll definitely support you in going after Patrick."
After Teresa sullenly finished a toast with butter, she said, "You have a point. I will control my temper and not beat anyone. But I will give him a warning. In case the Cerones think Leila has no one to rely on and keep bullying her as they wish."
Seeing that she took his advice, Hubert said nothing more.
After breakfast, the couple sat for a few moments and left home together.
Knowing that Teresa was worried about Leila, Hubert stopped at Leila's place and let Teresa go check on Leila before sending her back to the store.
Teresa was touched by his thoughtfulness.
She had just warned herself that she should not flirt with Hubert again last night. But when faced with his thoughtfulness, Teresa threw the warning away to the Pacific Ocean.
Gwen said to her once that Hubert was really a good guy. Gwendolyn told her that she should strive for it. One month had passed since the six-month agreement was made. She still had five months to go get him. She should try to see if she could develop a relationship and become a real couple with Hubert.
She didn't want to regret it in the future.
Like Sophie had said, "Since I've been falling in love with him, I will try to get him. Even if I fail, at least I've tried. And I won't feel regret even if I can't get Young Master Donovan"
Seeing the pot of fortune tree she gave to him as a gift, Teresa said, "Your fortune tree is still in the car."
"I'll put it on my desk when I get back to the office later."
Teresa smiled, "If anyone asks, remember to give me more recommendations."
"Sure."
Hubert agreed readily.
He would ask Morgan to order more artifacts from her online store.
Morgan got an uneasy feeling and thought to himself, 'Is Hubert going to give me more jobs?'
Teresa had planned to go to the Cerone family to talk to Patrick later. But the Cerones came to her first. She was halfway to her store when she got a call from Gwendolyn, telling her that Patrick's mother, Penny, and his sister, Priscila, were waiting for her at the store.
Good. It would save her time to go to their house.
Hubert asked, "Do you need my help?"
"No. It's Priscila and Penn. They are Leila's mother-in-law and sister-in-law. Women mostly don't fight physically. We usually fight verbally. You are a man. You don't have to get involved in women's quarrels. It's not your thing."
"Don't worry. I won't lose, no matter if it's a quarrel or a real fight."
As an orphan who had a bunch of creepy, shameless relatives, Teresa was a bad*ss. In her words, she would always win, whether it was a fight or a quarrel.
Hubert, a highly cultivated person, was not likely to argue or even fight with others unless he was pissed off. Since Teresa said she didn't need help, Hubert dropped her off at the store and drove off to work.
But he was still a bit depressed on the way because today he was wearing the suit Teresa bought him.
He had breakfast with her and drove her to the store, she didn't even recognize it.
Hubert was a bit depressed. He, an extremely handsome man, was her husband. But she didn't pay any attention to him!
When Hubert got to his office, it was already nine o'clock. Luckily, he didn't see Sophie blocking the door today.
He didn't get off with the pot of fortune tree because few people were walking around.

He took the elevator up to the top floor. As soon as he stepped out of the elevator, he saw Morgan, with a file under his arm and a phone in his right hand. It looked like he was going to make a phone call. Seeing Hubert, Morgan put away his phone and said, "There's an important document. I need you to sign it. But I couldn't find you. I thought you wouldn't come to work today."
Hubert explained lightly, "I drove my wife to work. So, I got to the office a bit late."
"President Donovan, could you stop showing off your lovey-dovey married life? I won't get married recently."
Morgan thought that Hubert, who had ended his bachelorhood, could not bear that he still had his fabulous single time. He thought that Hubert kept showing the benefits of marriage just because Hubert wanted to end his bachelorhood.
"Hey, why are you wearing this outfit today?"
Morgan was eagle-eyed. He caught that Hubert's suit jacket was not from the brand he usually wore. He asked curiously, "Why did you change your brand?"
Hubert was a very persistent man.
When he had a thing for a certain brand, he could use the brand for years. He would not easily replace his usual brand.
Hubert had good taste. His usual outfits were all expensive. But what he was wearing today would only cost one hundred dollars at most.
This was not Hubert's style.
Morgan kept up with Hubert. He asked with concern, "President Donovan, could it be that we have a financial crisis at the Donovan Group? That's why you started wearing cheap clothes to save money?"
To Morgan, a suit that cost a few hundred dollars was cheap.
Only after Hubert entered the president's office, did he answer Morgan's question, "If the Donovan Group is in financial crisis, how could you, the Assistant General, not know about it? It was a gift from my wife. Doesn't it look good on me? I think it's good. It's fixed and comfortable."
Morgan, "..."
Fine! Why would he ask for this? Hubert was torturing him with the lovey-dovely married life.
Of course, Hubert would show his respect to Teresa by wearing the suit she had sent him as a gift.
Morgan felt that Hubert, his boss as well as his friend, already had a feeling for Teresa. Otherwise, Hubert would never wear a suit like this even though he was being pointed at by a gun.
But it looked like Hubert was not aware of his feelings for his wife.
Morgan knew a good show was waiting for him.
Teresa didn't know about what was happening in Hubert's office. She entered the store and saw Leila's mother-in-law and sister-in-law sitting in front of the register. They were waiting for her. Gwendolyn had poured two glasses of water for them. But they did not drink the water.
Their expressions were angry and strained when they saw Teresa enter.
Teresa suppressed her anger and greeted them politely, "Priscila, Mrs. Cerone, what brings you here?"
She was planning on going to their house later. She didn't expect them to take the initiative to come to her.
"Teresa, you're not busy now, are you?"
The students had already been in the classes when Priscila and Penny arrived. So, they didn't see the busy scene in the store. They thought Teresa's bookstore had no business to do. They thought that they were right when they privately instigated Patrick to kick Teresa out by all means.
With such a sluggish business, it would be weird if Teresa didn't get broken. And then the rent here was too expensive. No wonder Teresa had to do that knitting stuff to sell them online.
Their thoughts were the same, 'if Teresa had stayed in Patrick's house longer, who knew how much advantage she would have been taking from Patrick?'
'Leila spends so much money. It is very likely that she has given the money to Teresa.'
'Luckily, the go haves mode marriage is doing the best for Patrick's interests.'
Priscila and Penny thought so.
"I'm not busy. Is there anything wrong?"
Teresa had been polite up to now. Hubert was right. As long as Leila was to go on her wife with Patrick, she must not publicly quarrel with the Cerones. She couldn't make it difficult for Leila.
Priscila said angrily, "Of course, there's something wrong. We come to you because Leila beat up my brother, Patrick. What do you think about this?"
