Chapter 18

Chapter 18
There was silence in the private room for three seconds, Josh Hunter, Nathan Jones and Eric Cook all looked at Rein Garcia.  Josh Hunter and Nathan Jones felt nothing, but Eric Cook's disdain and disgust for him were clearly written on his face.
But Rein Garcia's skin was thicker than the mud under the Yellow River. At this moment, he still pretended nothing had happened, and turned back in surprise, "Oh, Diana, you are here! Well, well, well. Look, where is this great beauty from!"
Diana Swift made a fake smile, and she took the bag and smashed it on his head.
He was used to pretending, and immediately called out "Ouch".
"Shut up, I even did not blame your oily and dirty hair that would stain my bag." Diana Swift wanted to roll her eyes.
These two people were both talkative, and everyone had long been accustomed to that. At this moment, they were bickering with each other, and the other people were not involved with them.
Nathan Jones made a pair of poker card Q as if nothing had happened, Josh Hunter followed with a pair of poker card K, and Eric Cook knocked on the table, "Pass."
After counting all disadvantages of Rein Garcia from top to bottom, Diana Swift won an overwhelming victory like every bicker in the past and she sat directly next to Josh Hunter.
Josh Hunter showed her his pokers, she took them as a matter of course, and looked at the cards directly from Nathan Jones and Eric Cook, and then changed the order of the cards according to the comparison.
"9, 10, J, Q, K, straight. Full house, and a pair of the five. Okay, it's over. I win."
"...Damn." Eric Cook covered his cards and stretched his neck forward. Looking at the table, "Is that possible?"
He hadn't seen this kind of gameplay for several years, and he was still a bit confused after a long time.
Diana Swift had already started to settle the results, "You owe me one bag. And you, three bags."
"Why do I owe you three?" Nathan Jones raised his eyes lazily and asked.
Diana Swift said, "He's also a white coat that saves the life and the wounded. But you are an unscrupulous capitalist who exploits the common people. So you must give me three bags."
Eric Cook had a momentary delusion that he had taken a big advantage.
Diana Swift continued speaking plausibly to Nathan Jones, "Besides, your buddy just said that whoever makes more money should contribute more to the canary, so that's fair."
Nathan Jones, "Well, he's not my buddy."
...?
"I didn't say that just now, did I?" Rein Garcia was completely confused, and turned his head to look at Nathan Jones, "Come on. Just three bags. You can afford."
Nathan Jones, "Then you buy them."
"Guess what. I will. And I'll buy ten!"
Diana Swift changed her expression as fast as flipping a page of a book, holding her chin and said with a smile, "Thank you, Rein."
Several seconds after saying this, Rein Garcia just realized that he should not promise that. And he turned to Josh, dreaming about stimulating him to recover a little loss, "Josh, did you abuse her? You don't buy any bag for her, and now she is going to trick us."
Josh Hunter just said plainly, "Diana is diligent and thrifty."
Diana Swift also offered a smile of "a woman from a good family is diligent and thrifty at home".
Rein Garcia, "..."
He found that these two people were a perfect match. They should be locked and didn't come out to harm the kind people.
-
A few old friends played cards just for fun, and Diana Swift didn't really accept their bags. Everyone would not bother about that. It's been a long time that they had not seen her, and they liked to joke with her. And Diana Swift was replacing Josh Hunter, making up the active part with the atmosphere that he lacked.
Everyone was smart, and no one mentioned the name of "Mandy Lee" again.
Mandy Lee was Josh Hunter's ex-girlfriend. The scandal period lasted for three years and the actual term was three months.
In fact, ex-girlfriends were not a taboo topic that couldn't be brought up, but the key point was that Mandy Lee and Diana Swift did not deal with each other well. They squabbled in high school and felt terrible about each other.
And Mandy Lee seemed to be free and easy, but from time to time she had to show her affection for Josh Hunter.
In the first year of Diana Swift and Josh Hunter's marriage, Mandy Lee relied on a short story about her first love, "My Ex Married" to become popular on the social media.
Although that story was later deleted by Mandy Lee on the grounds that she "doesn't want to disturb the other person's life", it was still reposed on the Internet in large numbers and was still quoted from time to time.
When she came home from the party, Diana Swift didn't speak all the way. She looked at the window, the phone, and the rearview mirror, trying to observe the changes in Josh Hunter's micro-expressions through all the reflective materials.
But Josh Hunter was expressionless, not to mention any changes. He slept as soon as he got in the car, and woke up as soon as he got home as if he had a radar in his mind.
Diana Swift didn't know why, but she was very angry and didn't care about him at all.
Josh Hunter was unaware of her little emotions. He originally wanted to recharge his energy and go home to live a married life. He didn't expect that after taking a bath, Diana Swift had already fallen asleep. He didn't care much, but moved back the days of living as a husband and wife in his heart.
-
The magazine shooting that was postponed due to Kate Hall's incident had been resumed, and a pair of screen couple had been replaced by Zero Degree, and the skirt still needed to be borrowed.
Diana Swift completely disliked that skirt, and wished to give it to them directly, so she agreed.
On Thursday morning, she took Betty Miller to Zero Degree, intending to let this little goose also be influenced by fashion.

The pair of screen couple filmed today were the current popular stars. Due to the popularity of their idol dramas, each had many shippers and bias fans . These fans had different views. They quarrelled and scolded these days. And that made those two stars with no famous works famous.
"The lighting on Scott's side need to be a little closer... That's right, that's it."
Bonnie Smith was wearing a fashionable small suit, and stood in the shed wrapping her arms. She had been deputy editor for a while, and was doing a good job.
Diana Swift and Betty Miller sat in the corner of the studio, chatting in a low voice while watching the shooting.
Diana Swift, "Why did you do last night? I was going to call you out to watch a movie, but the phone couldn't get through."
Betty Miller, "Couldn't get through? Maybe the signal is not good. Haley Williams invited me to watch a movie last night."
Diana Swift turned to look at her, "Professor Williams is still willing to talk to you after the Eight Mountain Men and Strawberry?"
Betty Miller, "What do you mean. Although I am not very literate, I am sincere, okay? After you telling me about it, I sent him a apology on the social media. He said it was okay, and he praised me for being cute. Hey, didn't I tell you before that I even went to listen to his public class!"
Diana Swift said nothing but her eyes saying that " Is the professor blind?" to Betty Miller.
Betty Miller forcibly praised herself, and remembered the little ambiguity when she was watching a movie with Haley Williams last night, her ears were red, she couldn't help but stretched out her paws and patted Diana and forcibly changed the topic, "What about you? What's going on between  Josh Hunter and that bitch? I didn't see the cause but the result."
Diana Swift, "It's all a misunderstanding, I don't remember the girl's name. Do not ask me."
It's really useless to ask Diana Swift about this. She just figured out from the beginning to the end that Josh Hunter didn't cheat, and she didn't know and didn't care about the rest.
However, Bonnie Smith was very clear about the ins and outs. After the photographer took over the shooting, she explained to Diana Swift and Betty Miller an extra part of the matter, roughly that how Kate Hall became a demon and how pitiful her future was.
"A little girl who was quite promising at first, but now, sad It was really stupid for her to recruit Lyle Hall who has been bearing a grudge."
"Besides, such a little girl has the taste of fame. It's impossible for her to quit the circle and find a nine to five job. Anyway, it's hard for her to walk in the future."
Betty Miller thought of a fake pure girl who took Ryan Brook away, and couldn't feel any sympathy, and only commented, "Well. She deserved it." After a while, she asked about something else, "By the way, what about the one you are talking about called Cara Johnson?"
Bonnie Smith raised her eyebrows and made a action of wiping her neck.
Betty Miller, "She was fired?"
Bonnie Smith, "Yes, I still think it's strange about this. In the end, what happened that day was still a personal grievance between me and her. Diana said that she didn't do it, so I don't know why the group did that."
Betty Miller had a whim and looked at Diana Swift, "Could it be your husband who did it?"
Diana Swift,  "...? Sister, have you read too many novels?"
Her unbelievable expression made Betty Miller calmed down and speechless, and she began to doubt the rationality of her inferences.
Instead, Diana Swift, listening to Betty Miller's words, first thought it was a fantasy, but after thinking about it carefully, she felt that it was not completely impossible.
Taking advantage of the intermission, she sent Josh Hunter a message.
Diana Swift: [A few days ago, I quarreled with a girl at Bonnie Smith's magazine office, and the girl was fired. ]
Diana Swift: [sending an emoji]
She was distracted and waited for Josh Hunter to reply, but he seemed to be busy and didn't reply.
During this period, Betty Miller went to the bathroom, and Bonnie Smith went out to answer a call and came back.
When she came back, she looked a little strange.
Diana Swift raised her head, and when she saw her expression, she remembered the dominating feeling of the fear of being cheated a few days ago, "What's wrong with you? Another strange expression again."
Betty Miller also just came back, wiping her hands and said, "Are you constipated?"
Bonnie Smith, "No, I just received a notice of an exclusive interview with a person."
"Who? Her husband? Show their love in magazines?"
Betty Miller's whole brain was full of novels, without thinking, pointing to Diana Swift.
Bonnie Smith paused, "Her husband's ex girlfriend."
Betty Miller & Diana Swift, "...."
The atmosphere suddenly became subtle and awkward.
In order to alleviate this embarrassment, Betty Miller raised a question that seemed to be from the depths of her soul, "Well... Isn't Zero Degree a man's magazine? Why do you interview women?"
"Isn't there a woman on the cover?" Bonnie Smith pointed back and then said, "I'll figure out a way. This topic doesn't have to be Mandy Lee,, but she will be back in the past two days."
She was able to refuse this exclusive interview, but she really couldn't stop people from flying back to their motherland.
Just then, Diana Swift's mobile phone rang.
Josh Hunter: [I did that.]
Diana Swift looked at the three short words and paused.
Josh Hunter: [Are you in the magazine office now?]
Diana Swift replied with a "clever nod" emoji.
Josh Hunter: [Then I'll pick you up after work.]
Diana Swift looked at the short dialogue on the screen. Well, she was a little happy now.
She couldn't help but curl her lips. Then she sat up straight and lifted her hair. She said to Bonnie Smith very nobly and coldly, "No, just do her interview. I'd like to see what terrible stories she can say."
Betty Miller drank milk silently, being mingling with Diana Swift all the time, she thought that Diana's subtext was "If this little bitch dares to talk nonsense, I won't let her say anything at all."
