Chapter 8

Chapter 8
Diana Swift, who was far away at home at the moment, didn't know that her plastic husband could give an all-round compliment to her in his lifetime.
She went to bed early tonight, but forgot to adjust the humidification mode before falling asleep. The room was a little dry, and she was awakened by thirst.
She got up in a daze, with her eyes half-open. She pushed open the door and went downstairs barefoot.
She lived in Cedar Department usually, where she had a refrigerator in her bedroom, so it's very convenient for her when she wanted to drink water at night.
Thinking of this, she scolded Josh Hunter in her mind again. He brought her back here without asking, and then went out to socialize. He's a total jerk.
Unfortunately, the jerk came back at this moment.
But Diana Swift was half asleep and thirsty, so she didn't notice him standing at the door when she went downstairs.
Josh Hunter drank a lot of wine in the evening and felt uncomfortable at the end. But he had good self-control ability. When he was drunk, he still looked calm, and others couldn't see anything wrong about him.
After changing shoes in the entryway, Josh Hunter tilted his head slightly and looked at the slender and graceful back in the kitchen.
He suddenly felt that he had just missed one word to the starlet just now, figure.
As for appearance, temperament, and educational background, she was no match for Diana Swift. Nor could she compare with her in terms of figure.
After marriage, it was not the first time that he had met a woman with ulterior motives to take the initiative to come to him, nor was it the first time that he had cleanly refused.
For him, women were like vase-like embellishments. He already had the most expensive and best-looking one, so there was no need to collect the defective ones. After all, he was not a professional rag collector.
Diana Swift just drank half a glass of ice water, and before she could turn around, she suddenly found a pair of hands coming up from behind and hugging her.
Her brain froze for three seconds, and she put down her water glass and turned around, only to be kissed on the lips by Josh Hunter.
There was a strong smell of alcohol in his breath.
Diana Swift wanted to struggle, and he stretched out his hand to trap her arms behind her and clasped her jaw with the other hand, kissing her more arbitrarily.
Shit.
Had he been drugged? Diana Swift thought.
Originally, Diana Swift's feet were still free. But after she struggled to kick, Josh Hunter carried her to the kitchen island and put her on it. His entire body was also attached to it, and he didn't give her any room to move.
"... You pervert! Let me go! "
After about a minute, Diana Swift finally found a gap and she kicked Josh Hunter hard. Her hands broke free and pushed him away by holding his face.
Josh Hunter was pushed back half a step, and Diana Swift also took off his strength, sitting on the edge of island, panting heavily.
The ceiling light on the first floor was not on, only a warm yellow light band was lit.
In the dim light, her smoky pink nightgown and snow-white skin glowed lightly, but her lips looked watery. She was like a voluptuous and innocent female ghost, putting a small hook outward, unconsciously seducing men.
Josh Hunter was obviously seduced.
His finger scraped his lower lip in the opposite direction, eyes looking at Diana Swift. Suddenly he smiled lightly.
Diana Swift felt bad and sat back.
But she had nowhere to hide, and she could only watch as Josh Hunter came forward and effortlessly picked her up sideways.
"What are you doing! You put me down! Pervert!"
When he went upstairs, Diana Swift struggled violently by punching and kicking in Josh Hunter's arms.
It's just that she always kept in shape strictly through diet and she seldom exercised. So her struggle was like kitten scratching for Josh Hunter. He was drunk and his neckline was torn by Diana Swift. He smiled casually, looking quite like a a refined rascal.
Diana Swift struggled twice more, and before entering the room, she suddenly stopped -
Among the smell of smoke and alcohol, a familiar sweet and creamy scent vaguely wafted.
She quickly smelled out which perfume it was.
She smelled it again carefully.
That's true.
In Diana Swift's cognition, this perfume was a popular perfume for girls. If the chance of smelling this perfume in a mall came second, the number one could only be Chanel No.5. When she was in high school, she wore this perfume once and she was ridiculed by her friends that she smelled like an angelic bitch.
"You're out playing with a college girl? Where did you get the perfume smell? You come back to touch me after sleeping with other women outside. Is it disgusting?" The disgust in Diana Swift's eyes could not be concealed.
Josh Hunter kicked open the door and threw her on the bed. Then he leaned over, propped his hands on her sides, and enveloped her in his arms.
Diana Swift shrank back defensively.
Josh Hunter said in a low voice: "You haven't studied math for just several years and you can't even calculate time now? How long has it been since I sent you back?"
"......"
Diana Swift thought for a while before she figured out what he meant by this statement.
It's rare in the world to be so overtly shameless. But she was caught up in this shameless magical logic and didn't speak for a long time.
Josh Hunter didn't make any further moves. He got up and took off his shirt and went straight to the bathroom.
Diana Swift stared at the direction of the bathroom for a few seconds, and then she took her nightgown and sniffed it, lest she got the smell of tobacco, alcohol and perfume that she didn't like.

Soon the sound of water came from the bathroom. Diana Swift lay in bed and thought carefully about it.
In fact, she and Josh Hunter had been married for so long that they knew each other to a certain extent. Josh Hunter was a man who was full of ambition and desire for his career, but had little patience for women and relationships.
She thought that he might take part in accidental amusement, but he wouldn't keep a lover outside. After all, as a workaholic, it would be too exhausting for him to maintain an illicit relationship.
She suddenly snorted like self-deprecating, remembering the criticism Bonnie Smith had made of her before she got married...
"What you want from your husband is not to keep a woman outside, and not to make you lose face if he does so? Do you have to be so humble?"
When she thought about it, she thought she was indeed humble.
The Swift family could be regarded as a noble family in P City. Born in such a family, she had seen too much since she was a child, and she knew that evil people and practices were more common in rich families. Harmonious marriage and family were too rare. It's already not easy for her and Josh Hunter to pretend to be loving each other before others, since they got married for family connections.
She was generally satisfied with Josh Hunter. He was handsome, good in bed and not clingy. Also, she was allowed to spend his money casually.
Before going to bed, she was still thinking: It's good to be like this all the time. There's no need to take care of each other for the rest of life. Just live casually like this.

Soon it was the annual B City Fall/Winter Haute Couture Fashion Week, and Diana Swift received invitations from major brands early.
From an early age, she was taken to watch fashion shows, and she developed a good taste. In P City, she was also a bellwether at the forefront of fashion.
Before leaving for B City, Diana Swift made a series of preparations in a frenzy at home.
Watching shows of different brands should be matched with the outfits of corresponding brands. She was not a star, so the airport look used for posing could be omitted, but the afternoon tea look, dinner look and her favorite high-end jewelry show look couldn't be omitted.
In just two days, Diana Swift packed seven suitcases.
Actually, it's a light trip for her. She had some dresses in the high-fashion workshop in B City, and she could wear them directly to the show when she arrived there.
Diana Swift was in a good mood because she was going out to spend money again. So she was smiling when she saw Josh Hunter these days.
Josh Hunter didn't quite understand such fun. He only knew that every time Diana Swift went abroad to watch a show with a radiant face, the number of luggage would inevitably double when she returned.
Moreover, during this period, his debit card would be updated from time to time, as if to remind him that this little canary he married would be unrivaled in terms of spending money.
When Josh Hunter graduated from university, Ken Hunter gave him a Gulfstream plane as a graduation gift. He seldom took this plane. But since marriage, Diana Swift had made the best use of it.
Diana Swift took the special plane to B City late at night. After sleeping for eleven hours on the plane, she woke up at dawn in B City.
There was a special car waiting at the airport, and when she arrived at the hotel, the suite housekeeper had already made coffee and prepared all kinds of breakfast for her. The invitations and gifts from major brands were arranged in the shape of a heart.
The room was selected for her by the housekeeper in advance, fully meeting all her requirements customized in advance. There were even little surprises - the room number was her birthday, and the corner of the bedding was embroidered with her English name in dark.
After breakfast at the hotel, Diana Swift changed her clothes and prepared to go out shopping.
When she went downstairs, she remembered Bonnie Smith and dialed a video call to greet her.
As the deputy editor-in-chief of a fashion magazine, Bonnie Smith would not be absent from Fashion Week, but they started as a team and arrived two days in advance.
When receiving the video call from Diana Swift, Bonnie Smith was personally checking the details of more than a dozen dresses used for the shoot.
She was so busy in the past two days that she was almost dizzy. When she saw Diana Swift on the other side of the screen wearing sunglasses and glowing and she had leisure to take the stairs to digest food, she complained ceaselessly: "I swear I will never criticize your family marriage again. You're just so happy!"
"You know what? This handyman hasn't slept a wink for two whole days! Really, you can't imagine how stingy our group is! It's strange to say that the group was quite generous when I didn't become the deputy editor before. On business to Fashion Week before, the deputy editor would be arranged with a suite. But now why have I been assigned a standard room? Messy clothes are piled up in my room, and there is no room to set foot on! If the group is more stingy, why not arrange for us to sleep under the flyover?"
"I'm serious. I don't want to work hard anymore! It's not even a matter of marrying a gay husband or a memorial tablet!"
"Wait, who are you saying as a wife marrying a gay husband or a memorial tablet?" Diana Swift heard something wrong in it.
Bonnie Smith said innocently: "This is what you always say. It's not my fault."
Diana Swift was trying to say something to refute it, but she caught a glimpse of a familiar figure inadvertently.
In the video, Bonnie Smith was still complaining, and Diana Swift quietly changed the phone camera to the rear, aiming at a pair of man and woman who were checking in in the hotel lobby.
At the same time, as she expected, there was Bonnie Smith's excited scream of smelling gossip in the headphones.
