Chapter 199 Where There Is a Policy, There Is A Countermeasure

Chapter 199 Where There Is a Policy, There Is A Countermeasure.
Jane believed that if you did your best, everything would get better. If it didn't, it would get worse at least, as she was rejected eight times in a row when she first came to S City, and then she met Edward; she was laughed at, and now she was envied by others.
When she first met Justin, she was annoyed by him every day. But now they got along well with each other. It proved that time would tell what was right and what was wrong.
Jane used to get up early to punch the clock at the office and then took a 40-to-50-minute drive to the Smiths, but from now on, it was a blessing in disguise. Justin became the one who had to spend time on the road.
The first thing Jane did when she woke up was to call Justin. As was expected, Justin was so sleepy that he was about to vomit. Jane said quietly, "Hurry up. Get up now. I'll go to the office first. Then I will go back home, prepare breakfast and wait for you."
Justin regretted agreeing to her on impulse yesterday.
Seeing that he was silent, Jane guessed what was on his mind. She said while holding back a laugh, "You can catch up on your sleep in the car. You'll sleep well in the car."
Justin closed his eyes and said breathlessly, "I want to eat steamed dumplings."
Jane said, "No problem. Open your eyes now. You can eat steamed dumplings in an hour."
She hung up the phone, washed up and left the house. Jane went to the office to clock in and bought some ingredients for lunch on her way home. She couldn't help but smile as she picked out the ingredients, for she used to be in the car on her way to the Smiths at this hour.
After making breakfast, Jane sits leisurely on the sofa, working while waiting for Justin. Soon the doorbell rang, and Jane opened the door for Justin.
Justin had a sad face, as if he got up on the wrong side.
Jane pretended to be surprised, "Didn't you get enough sleep in the car?"
Justin was distracted and walked inside in his slippers, but when he saw the steamed dumplings, congee and several slide dishes on the dining table, most of his irritation was gone.
Getting up early and having such a long ridding was unpleasant, but when he thought about what he could get, he thought it made sense.
It was just nine in the morning. Jane sat opposite Justin. Though it was time for breakfast, the surroundings had changed, and Justin did not sleep well. He felt like he was in a dream. He had never eaten breakfast in someone else's home.
Jane saw him listless, saying, "You have to go to bed early from tonight. Otherwise, it will be hard for you to get up early. What's worse, lacking energy will influence your studies. The most important point is that I'm afraid your uncle will get me in trouble."
Justin was so sleepy that he became logy. He stared unblinkingly at somewhere, filling his mouth with food. In the middle of breakfast, he said, "What he will do to you?"
Jane said, "Your family hired me to help you study well. If you are thinner and doze off in class because of me, I will be blamed."
Justin said, "I've done a lot for you, but now you think I got up late."
Jane was very calm, "Don't call white black. Did I think you get up late? I just think you sleep late. If you can follow my routine, both of us will be happy."
Justin was expressionless. He said calmly, "Why don't you ask me to be the same gender as you?"
Jane pretended to be serious, "If you were a girl, I would be delighted. We can go shopping together and take a sauna together."
Justin lowered his eyes. He was interested in neither shopping nor the sauna.

After the meal, Jane made a cup of coffee for Justin. He picked it up and took a sip. Immediately, his facial features twitched because of the bitterness of the coffee. That was a cup of black coffee without sugar.
Jane got the textbooks ready. Ignoring his angry look, she said, as usual, "I wanted to make you concentrate on your study. So please accept it."
Justin and Jane were just like a bandit and a policeman. The only thing he could do was to subject to her.
After two classes, Justin lay on the sofa. Now he did not want to sleep anymore but wanted to die. Jane put on her apron and cooked in the kitchen. Perhaps because of her good mood, she hummed a tune. Listening to the annoying tune, Justin struggled like a fish on the shore.
In the afternoon, when Justin was ready to go home after dinner, Jane went downstairs with him and said, "Go to bed early tonight. I'll call you to wake you up." She thought she was amiable, but in Justin's eyes, she was cunning
Justin was not happy and wanted to retort, but for a while, he couldn't find a good reason, for he promised her first, and he had to put up with it.
Jane saw him get into the car before she was assured of going to work. When Justin returned home, Edward was sitting alone in the dining room, eating alone. The more dishes on the table, the sadder he looked.
Justin walked over and called out, "Uncle Edward."
Edward looked up, "Oh, you are back. How was the class?"
"Same as before."
"Have you eaten lunch?"
Justin wanted to say he ate it but changed his words, "I want some more."
The maid served him a bowl of rice. He sat at the table with Edward. They ate as usual, but Justin always felt a sense of guilt, like he had betrayed Uncle Edward as he left Edward alone.
While he looked down and thought about what to do, Edward called for a set of keys and gave them to Justin.
Justin glanced sideways as Edward said, "The key to Building 1-202, Rhine Garden. Jane had moved out. You can live in that house to avoid going back and forth."
Justin raised his eyes, "What about you?"
Edward looked as usual, "I don't have to have class."
Justin said, "Then you are left alone."
Edward said thoughtfully, "Are you worried that I'm afraid of ghosts when I'm alone?"
Justin doesn't say anything. Edward teased him, "You've been up all night lately. I will go out too. Both of us are men, so give each other some space."
Justin was still silent. Edward looked at him sideways, "Just kidding. I'll be staying at Rhine Garden for the night."
Edward knew what Justin was thinking. Justin grew up without the company of Gary but his. Although they were not together 24 hours a day, Justin was used to staying with him for over ten years. Though Justin's safety was assured, he would feel uneasy if he lived alone.
Upon hearing Edward's comment, Justin said, "It's a small house, but it has three rooms. It will be big enough for us to live in."
Edward said, "Find what you have to bring over this afternoon and let someone sort them out for you."
Justin said, "Nothing. We don't live there for a long time. Just pack a few clothes and toiletries. The most important ones were Nimo, Tiger and Qingqing. I don't know if they'll be uncomfortable with a new place."
These were cats, dogs and cold-blooded animals he had. Hearing his words, Edward calmly cautioned, "I suggest you take only one pet that is no taller nor longer than thirty centimetres. After all, you can't fit four or five people in three rooms to look after your pets."
After saying so, Edward feared that Justin would be upset, so he gave him a comforting look, "Just bear with it."
