Chapter 198. Keep the Goodies Within Our Family

Chapter 198. Keep the Goodies Within Our Family
Knowing Edward was with Jane, Justin thought a lot. His first thought was that was Jane tired of this job, so she resigned to Edward?
That afternoon, Jane invited Henry and Justin to dinner at home. Henry was delighted because he had done well in the exams. Jane praised him a lot and allowed him to order four dishes. She also made his favourite dessert.
Justin wasn't jealous. He was uneasy and perturbed that Jane would talk to him about quitting her job.
After dinner, Henry lost at Rock, Paper, Scissors, so he went to the kitchen to do the dishes, leaving Jane and Justin alone in the living room. Jane handed him a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice, "I want to discuss something with you."
Justin's heart sank. What was supposed to come was always going to come.
"What?" He forced his composure.
Jane said, "Recently, I had an early afternoon lesson. The time for lunch is too short, so I can't eat with you. But it's somewhat boring to eat alone. I want to ask if you want to have your classes at my house?"
Justin looked at Jane, "Come to your house?"
Jane's eyes lit up, and she nodded, "I can save time on the road, make you breakfast, and prepare the food for lunch. You eat and leave. You don't even have to clear the table. Doesn't that sound appealing?"
Justin didn't answer immediately, and Jane followed, "Sure, there are pros and cons. You have to get up at least an hour earlier than usual."
Justin was silent for a moment, "What did Uncle Edward tell you?"
Nowadays, Kids were smart. According to Edward, it might be easy not to tell Justin, but Justin was sensitive, and telling him lies would only make him feel more uncomfortable. So, Jane comes up with a ploy.
"Well, I hear you've been anorexic lately." She showed her worry.
Sure enough, Justin immediately frowned, "You guys are overthinking. I was not starving to death before you came to my house."
Jane sighed, "Me too, I used to eat alone, but I am used to eating with you. Now I have to eat alone again. I find that I don't have much appetite."
Hearing that, Justin looked better. He said, "You still need company at your age?"
Jane looked back at him. She was speechless, "Justin, I'm a girl after all, okay?"
Justin didn't hesitate to say with disdain, "I've never seen a girl who wasn't afraid of ghosts."
Jane was mildly impatient, "Stop nagging. Tell me if you're willing to sacrifice your bedtime to accommodate me? I won't last long. I can schedule my time better after the New Year comes. I've accommodated you for so long. Now it's your turn."
She was forceful, as if Justin was being unrighteous if he didn't agree to her proposal today. Justin squinted, "I didn't say no."
Jane immediately asked him. That's a deal?"
Justin could not describe his feeling. He said casually, "Of course."
Jane raised her hand. Justin turned his face and gave her a high five. She was so happy that she leaned back on the sofa and said, "Finally, it's your turn to suffer from commuting."
At this point, Justin turned his face back to her, "WaitIt's your duty to come to my house for class. How could you say you've been accommodating me for so long?"
Tsk! Jane said, "Don't you value our friendship? Don't good friends have to think for each other?"
Justin wanted to say they were not good friends, but he couldn't, so he cried disgustingly.
Jane said, "Man, don't sweat it so much. I do not complain that I should prepare breakfast and lunch for you."

Justin said casually, "Let Uncle Edward give you a pay rise."
Jane replied, "Your uncle complimented me today on how well I taught and offered me a pay rise, but I rejected it on the spot righteously."
"Why?"
" I haven't told him I ask you to come to my house for class yet. He's not going to fire me, is he?"
"Why didn't you mention it to him?"
"How to tell him that? Tell him I'm miserable and bored eating alone, so I want to sacrifice Justin's bedtime and ask him to come to my house to accommodate me... Do you think I have the guts to talk to him like this? Your uncle might say ''you are asking for the moon''."
At first, Justin thought Edward must have said something to Jane, so he proposed to have meals with him. But he was led astray by her. Jane creates a pathetic and ridiculous atmosphere on purpose, leaving him wondering whether she was forced to do so or had the thought before.
But anyway, she didn't want to quit and was quite afraid Edward would fire her. Thinking of that, Justin was relieved.
With a plan in mind, Justin immediately returned to his young master's manner and asked to order dishes for breakfast and lunch. And Jane asked him to do the dishes if he ordered food.
The Smith and Perez Families came to pick them up in the evening. Jane sent them downstairs as usual. She was surprised that Edward himself to come over. Henry called out, "Edward."
Edward was in a good mood and said with a light smile, "Henry seems to have lost weight."
Henry didn't know how to take it. He knew he had lost weight but didn't want to talk about it.
After greeting Edward, Henry left in his own car, leaving only the Smith Family's car and Edward, Jane and Justin at the entrance to the community.
Edward looked over at Jane, wearing a tracksuit under her coat, and said, "Thank you."
Jane smiled, "Not to mention that Justin and Henry helped a lot."
Justin looked normal, "I'll get in the car first."
He wanted to give them privacy, but Jane immediately said, "Mr Smith, please go home with Justin. He's eager to get back to watch movies."
What else could Edward say? He could only say without changing his face, "Well, you can go upstairs."
Jane turned to walk back. Edward got into the car. Justin sat beside him and said, "Are you reconciled with each other?"
Edward was calm and collected, "Who said we had a conflict?"
Justin was noncommittal and said, "Bad Teacher said she wanted me to come to her house for lessons, just for a short period. After the New Year comes, our class will go back to normal ."
The car was dimly lit, and the expression on Edward's face was blurred. But his voice was calm as usual, "It's up to you. As you like."
Justin said, "What if you eat alone?"
Edward found it funny, "Don't worry over me. Find a company yourself."
Justin said, "Let me know what you want to eat, and I'll bring it back to you."
Edward had mixed feelings when he heard that. In Justin's mind, how pathetic was he? The Smith family couldn't make ends meet, so he had to depend on him to take food back from Jane's house?
"Did you think Jane was a good cook? Or did you mistakenly think I like her?"
Edward asked directly and honestly. If they don't talk about it, there's no telling what other unimaginable ideas will pop into Justin's head.
Justin was silent for a long time and said, "Hard to describe. I'm comfortable with her. I always thought it would be nice if she becomes my family. We should keep the goodies within our family."
The phrase "keep the goodies within our family" delighted Edward.
