Chapter 118 A Warm Morning

Chapter 118: A Warm Morning
The more Charles said, the guiltier Jane felt. She shouldn't have slapped Beth with selfish motives. Moreover, she felt that she had let Aiden down. A person like him was destined to be worshipped. He reminded her not to slack off at work and not to lose her reason. She should do her duty and work seriously.
After chatting with Charles for a while, Jane went out of the office. Turning her head, she saw that Aaron was about to knock on the door of Sofia's office. She clicked her tongue to attract his attention. His hand stopped in mid-air, and he looked at her.
Jane whispered, "What are you doing?"
Aaron walked over and said seriously, "What did Charles say? Will you be punished?"
Speaking of this, he was angry and frowned, "I won't ask you who you fought with in the middle of the night and why you fought, but I live downstairs. Why didn't you tell me? Why didn't you bring me with you? Two are better than one! Did you think it was cool to fight alone? Well, why don't you break off your relations with us and live alone in the future? In your opinion, we can only play with you, and we're not qualified to face challenges with you."
Aaron was really angry, and he said harshly to Jane. Jane was sensible. She immediately bowed to him with her hands folded and said in a low voice, "I'm sorry. Don't embarrass me here, okay? Keep your voice down. I'll be ashamed if others hear you."
Aaron kept a straight face and didn't speak. Jane whispered, "We were supposed to fight alone last night, but she came with a group of people."
Aaron glared at Jane, and she said, "Shh!" He was no longer so mad, and he said in a low voice, "Were you out of your head? How could you listen to her? Fortunately, they were all weak. What if one of them was strong? What if she took a man there?"
Jane said sensitively, "Did you watch the video?"
Aaron didn't say yes or no, and Jane frowned, "Does the news spread so quickly?"
Aaron teased her, "It's not shameful. You were pretty good at fighting."
Jane glared at him, and he glared at her, too.
A few seconds later, Jane suddenly asked, "Why do you want to meet Sofia?"
Hearing this, Aaron put on a straight face again, "I heard that she came here early in the morning and wanted to give you a lesson. I'll meet her and ask her what she wants. Does she want to kick you when you are down?"
Jane was very helpless and said in a low voice, "Can you not make trouble for me? I'm all right now. Don't annoy her because of me."
Aaron asked suspiciously, "Are you all right?"
Jane replied, "Yeah. Only six months' bonus will be deducted, but I won't be dismissed or demoted."
In an instant, Aaron's worry disappeared. He grinned happily, "I knew Charles was kind enough, and I knew he would definitely help you!"
Jane pursed her lips, "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder."
Aaron said, "I was afraid that he couldn't speak for you because he was the boss and Sofia wouldn't let you go."
Jane said, "Aiden ordered Charles to let me go. Sofia can't do anything about it."
Aaron's expression was playful when he heard Aiden's name. Jane said with vigilance, "Don't look at me in this way, okay? You're letting your imagination run away with you."
Aaron said with a faint smile, "Do you feel more secure because Mr. Cater helps you?"

Jane replied without blinking, "In the future, I'll work so hard and put my heart and soul into my job. Is this what you want to hear?"
Aaron said with a smile, "Well, marrying him is better than saying so much."
Jane gave him a fake smile. Communicating with him was difficult.
They stood in the corridor and talked in a low voice. Charles came out of the office, looked sideways, and said, "Aaron."
Hearing this, Aaron immediately turned around, "I'm here!"
Jane was amused. Charles smiled, "Come in."
Aaron was tall. Seeing how happy he was, Jane felt that he would dance with joy the next second.
Thanks to Charles, Jane finally got rid of Aaron. Under the strange gazes of her colleagues, she calmly walked back to her seat, took out her phone, and sent a message to Justin, telling him that she couldn't go to the Smith family that day.
A few seconds after she sent the text message, Justin replied to her, "Are you in the company now?"
"Yeah."
"I'll get there in about ten minutes."
Jane looked at the words on the screen and quickly replied, "Why do you come here?"
Justin asked, "Can you talk to me on the phone now?"
Jane got up with her phone and called him in the tea room.
When the phone was connected, Jane said, "Why do you come to the downtown area?"
Justin said, "Because of you."
Jane guessed the reason, but she asked uncertainly, "Why do you come for me?"
Justin said, "I don't know the answers to some questions. Since you don't have time to come to my house, I'll go to your company to find you."
This reason surprised Jane. She smiled and said, "Justin, it's more than eight o'clock in the morning. If you say you woke up because you were hungry, I would believe you. But you say you come here to study. Guess whether I believe it or not?"
She could imagine the expression on Justin's face. If he was here, he would roll his eyes at her. His tone was cool on the phone, and he said in a childish voice, "Are you looking down on me? If you don't want me to get up early, I'll get up late in the future, and you'll have to stand by my bed and sing for me every day."
In Justin's opinion, if he must have a private teacher, it could only be Jane. Whether she worked in Forward Education or another company, their relationship couldn't be affected.
Although he spoke in a roundabout way, how could Jane not understand what he meant? She felt so warm in her heart and said with a smile, "I don't dare to look down on you. I'm afraid you'll get up late and complain to your uncle."
Justin said, "You don't have to be in a bad mood. If you'll be punished, you can work in Uncle Edward's school. He will hire you."
Jane laughed and said, "Justin... Thank you and Edward."
Justin paused for a moment and whispered, "Don't cry."
Jane raised her eyebrows, "Why do you think I'm crying? I'm laughing."
Justin said, "You don't have to force a smile. Anyway, Uncle Edward will solve all the problems for you. Are you afraid you'll lose your job?"
Jane couldn't help laughing, "I was in a bad mood, but now I feel so good. Where are you?"
Justin said, "You can go downstairs in ten minutes."
Jane replied, "Ten minutes? Is there a traffic jam?"
Justin was impatient, "You talk so much. Just listen to me. Don't ask so many questions."
Jane said, "Alright, I'll go downstairs in ten minutes. What do you want to eat? I'll take you to breakfast later."
Justin blurted out, "No, I'm buying fried dumplings..."
Jane understood, "So you're buying breakfast. I knew there wouldn't be a traffic jam."
Justin was mad, "Bye."
