Chapter 125 Taking Care of Someone Is Easiest to Make One Misunderstand the Situation
Jane was sure that she was not over sympathetic, but that she couldn't bear the thing that Justin looked at her with seemingly calm but expectant eyes.
'The naughty boy doesn't have other abilities except that he looks very handsome. When he has grown up and lures women by staring at them, who will be able to bear it?'
Jane had temporarily asked for leave from the parents of the students she would give classes to in the afternoon. Now she was standing face to face with Justin in the huge kitchen. The latter had a knife in his hand, and Jane said, "Put down your knife."
Justin looked at his adhesive-bandaged finger, but was indifferent to it, saying, "It's a trivial matter."
"I said you should go to the hospital and have a few stitches, but who was scared pale?" Jane complained expressionlessly.
"Is it suitable to scare me? For the sake of Uncle Edward, not to mention a small scar, even if this hand were lost, I wouldn't blink in pain," Justin took a glance and said.
"Since you have such a will, spare half an hour to learn to cook every day, okay? Look at Henry. Now he cooks his own diet meals," Jane said with a faint smile.
"I'm so thin because I don't like eating. Why doesn't he spend his cooking time going out and running a few laps?" Justin said.
Jane didn't know what to say. After a moment, she nodded and said, "Let's go and cook. Don't make Uncle Edward starve."
"Cook fruit porridge? What kinds of fruits to use? I'll prepare them," Justin said.
"I'm going to cook noodles. Heat up the pan. I'll teach you to make ginger cola," Jane said.
"Aren't you going to cook patient food for Uncle Edward?" Justin asked.
"I'm going to! Anyway I can't cook children's food for your uncle, can I?"
Justin was unhappy, and Jane instantly said flatteringly, "You're not a little child. What you ate last time was the food for minor patients. I'll cook the adults' version for your uncle this time, okay?"
"Don't try to make the poor quality. He won't eat the food that tastes bad," Justin said.
"There's also cake I brought this morning, isn't there?" Jane explained.
Justin fell silent because Edward wouldn't refuse the cake.
Jane boiled a panful of water, ready to prepare ingredients for the noodles, and Justin boiled a panful of cola. Since his task was small, he had time to peek at Jane. With this peek, he saw Jane crushing the medicine.
"What are you doing?" Justin asked.
"Why is your uncle unwilling to take medicine? Is he also afraid like you?" Jane asked.
"I'm not afraid. Medicine is not good stuff. Who likes to take it?" Justin frowned and defended himself.
"I almost believed it. Illnesses are even worse, but why did you get ill? People should take medicine when they're sick?" Jane said.
"Previously, I didn't take medicine, but I recovered, didn't I?" Justin asked in reply.
"Are you sure?" Jane turned her head and asked.
He nodded without hesitation, and Jane smiled in a foxy way. "Because you're young, but a man at your uncle's age is not easy to recover without taking medicine. If you really love him, come and put the medicine into the pan."
Jane gave him a sheet of paper. Seeing the mixture of several different colored medical powders on it, Justin inexplicably thought of the evil witch who gave Snow White the poisonous apple.
When Edward told Justin Snow White's story in the latter's childhood, the latter raised a question with dislike, "At first glance, one could see that the old witch was a bad woman, but why did she eat it?"
"Maybe all beautiful women are stupid," Edward thought for a moment and explained.
Justin also thought so, "It's not that women who have big breasts are not smart, but that they don't have high IQ because of their beautiful looks."
Such a thought had lasted until yesterday, no, just now. When he poured the medical powders into the cola pot, Justin asked himself, 'Why do I have to listen to Jane? What if she wants to poison Uncle Edward?'
But he had done it like that without reason.

The ginger cola was boiling up in the enameled Dutch oven. Jane had the two cooktops occupied, with one boiling noodles and the other frying the pork chops. The smell of savoriness had been so strong that the ginger couldn't be smelled. Justin came over and fixed his eyes on the pot, asking, "What kind of noodles are you cooking?"
"Chicken soup noodles with dried mushrooms, spinach, ham, and pork chops," Jane said.
The long sentence after the word "with" immediately made Justin stunned. He asked, "Why did I only have mere porridge and pickles to eat when I was sick?"
"Do you like noodles?" Jane asked.
Justin wanted to nod, but he couldn't want to be belittled. After thinking for a few seconds, he snorted, "You're partial."
"While you were eating jujube cake in the morning, you didn't think of your uncle," Jane accused him.
"Yeah! You had prepared a whole sesame cake for my uncle a long time before," Justin said.
"Your uncle went to my company to back me up yesterday morning," Jane explained.
"Didn't I go? I also brought you macarons!"
"I also bought you coffee."
"I said I would pay the bill, but you stubbornly sneaked to pay it."
"How could I bear the shame of spending your money? I would lose my reputation if the news were spread."
"Don't treat me like a little child! I'm as tall as you."
Justin measured his height and Jane's with his hand.
While they were having fun in the kitchen, six or seven servants chatted outside. Someone complimented Jane, "Miss Cooper is really great! The young master only listens to her."
Another one said, "A woman is indispensable in this home. No matter when the young master was sick last time or Master Edward is sick this time, no one attended to them close at hand. Although they're rich, this looks dreary."
"That's right! The young master has been motherless since he was young, and Master Edward's mother is not around. There are only two family members under the roof, and we can't give them suggestions…"
Before the servant could finish it, the person opposite them coughed to alarm them. It was Sam who was walking over from behind, and then he asked, "What are you people doing?"
"The young master and Miss Cooper are in the kitchen, They don't need our help."
"Miss Cooper is here. You don't have to worry," Sam said.
Someone who was curious whispered, "Sam, the young master relies so heavily on Miss Cooper. Do you think her status will change in the future?"
"What kind of change will she have?" Sam asked emotionlessly.
"For example, Master Edward and she will…"
"As veterans in the house, all of you must know the rules of the family. Could you gossip about such things so easily?"
"No, we care about the young master. Everyone says that the family must have a mistress! Look, since the coming of Miss Cooper, the young master has become more obedient than before, and Master Edward also has someone to attend to him. How great it is!"
"We have such a will, but we have to see if Miss Cooper also has this will," Sam said.
"Does Master Edward have this will?"
"I don't know about it." Same shook his head.
The big bowl of pork chop noodles with rich ingredients and the ginger cola were taken out of the pots at the same time. Jane, carrying the noodles, and Justin, holding a cup, went upstairs together.
Afraid of Edward's naked-sleeping hobby, Jane didn't take the risk to enter the room, so she asked Justin to go in first. As soon as he entered the living room, Justin saw Edward lying on the sofa. Edward had taken a bath and changed his clothes. Now he had a blanket over him.
"Uncle Edward?" Justin called.
Without opening his eyes, Edward responded with a "yes" drowsily and asked, "Has she left?"
"Yes, she has," Justin answered mischievously.
Actually, Jane had already come in with the noodles, but her flat shoes didn't make any sounds on the carpet.
Without opening his eyes, he said in a vague, weak, and lazy voice, "In the future, don't bother outsiders, especially women. She is not my girlfriend, so how could you count on her to attend to and prepare food for me?"
As soon as he finished speaking, he seemed to smell a trace of savoriness, the savoriness of food. He slowly opened his eyes and found that the first one he saw was not Justin but Jane with a big bowl of noodles standing opposite him. At the moment, she didn't know what to do.
