Chapter 202 Being Betrayed

Chapter 202 Being Mistakely Regarded As A Home Wrecker
All the things needed had been bought, except the utensils. Jane and Edward took the escalator to the second floor and went straight to the special area.
Eight out of ten men and women who visited this place together had already been married, or at least were cohabiting couples. As soon as they appeared, a shopping assistant stepped forward and asked with a smile, "What would you like to buy?"
"Some tableware and plates," answered Jane.
"Is it for marriage or something ordinary?" asked the assistant.
Edward found it a little subtle to be misunderstood. Could it be that going to the supermarket together was about getting married?
This was also the reason why Jane didn't want to go shopping with him. How could someone like him who didn't get involved in such things knew that those shopping in the supermarket were far more intimate than those shopping in the street.
Smiling, she quickly denied it, "It's not for marriage. It's just for normal home use."
The assistant led them forward, during which she asked enthusiastically, "Are you a couple?"
Jane shook her head with a light smile and answered, "No."
She didn't explain it in detail either, since telling the assistant that Edward was her client would make it more imaginative.
Edward put his hands in the pockets of the coat. With his face as usual, he looked sideways, as if he didn't care much.
When they came to a shelf full of plates, the shopping assistant introduced a few words. Jane nodded and said, "Thank you, we can choose it by ourselves."
After the assistant left, Jane looked at Edward and said, "Mr. Smith, take those you like."
Facing the dazzling array of similar dishes, Edward replied lightly, "It's up to you."
"How long will you and Justin stay in the Rhine Garden?" asked Jane.
"It's according to Justin. We will live here as long as he wants."
"It's just the two of you here, so you don't need to prepare too much," said Jane.
As she spoke, she picked up the plates on the shelf, checked them for flaws, and put them into the shopping cart carefully.
During the selection process, a pair of man and woman, with their arms crossed, came over. Pushing the shopping cart, the woman said coquettishly: "Honey, shall we buy something expensive in our new home?"
"How much would you like?" asked the man.
"I found Lili's bowls and plates very beautiful, which were bought here, as she said. A plate is less than 200 yuan, and a set of four bowls is more than 300 yuan," answered the woman.
"A plate of 200 yuan? Can your friend afford such expensive dishes?" said the man.
The woman pouted and said, "It doesn't matter what she eats. It shows the quality of life. I want to buy it! I just want it! Would you pay it for me?"
The man was pulled by her arms with importuning. Inadvertently, he raised his head and saw Jane not far away, with his eyes fixed immediately.
Edward was in front of another shelf, a few meters away from Jane. The man thought that Jane was alone. After thinking about it, he said to the woman next to him, "Okay, you can buy those as expensive as you want. I can afford it. Go over there first, and I'll find you after taking two pairs of chopsticks."
Hearing the words, the woman immediately stood on tiptoe, kissed the man's cheek and said, "You are the best."
As the woman disappeared, the man pretended to pick something, and walked closer and closer to Jane, who had heard the conversation between them clearly. Jane's sixth sense told her that the two guys were definitely not couples, and according to the man's age and his wearings, he had probably been married.
When he was only two steps away from her, Jane turned around decisively and was about to push the cart away, when the man greeted, "Hey, pretty girl."
Jane was most disgusted by this way of approaching her, so she didn't turn her head back. But the man grabbed her shopping cart, so she could only look sideways at him.

Looking at her face, the man was even more astonished. He smiled and said, "Excuse me, I don't know which plate is the best here. Could you please offer me some help?"
With her face being pale, Jane answered, "The shopping assistant is over there. You can ask her for help."
Looking down at Jane's shopping cart, the man reached out his one hand to take out a plate, and said with a smile, "You have such a good taste. Where did you get it?"
With her eyes turning dark, Jane held her temper and raised her one hand. She took an similar one from a nearby shelf and put it in the shopping cart. As for the one in the man's one hand, she no longer wanted it.
She was obviously indifferent, but the man was more and more reluctant to give up this chance. After all, the chance of encountering such a beautiful woman in the supermarket was comparable to winning 200,000 dollars in a five-dollar scratch-off.
He took out a stack of business cards from his pocket and handed one to Jane. "Hello, would you like a chance to get to know each other?"
Jane didn't receive it, but saw the words "Vice President of a certain company" written on the business card. With a perfunctory smile on the corners of her lips, she said, "Thank you, but no need."
She would like to leave, but the man was secretly dragging the car and stalking her. Jane was wondering if he was so thick-skinned or bold that he was not afraid of being discovered by the women accompanying him.
When she was about to ask him to let her go, the originally quiet supermarket suddenly heard an angry shout from a woman, "John White!"
Hearing the sound, the man turned his head, so did Jane, who looked up only to see a woman in her thirties or forties rushing over a few meters away. She was so angry that she hit the man with her bag and shouted, "You bastard, didn't you go on a business trip to Y City? You should be so shameless to find a mistress behind me..."
The woman was not tall but strong, and she didn't hesitate to beat the man, who had no choice but to hide constantly. The customers and shopping assistants in the distance all got close to the sound, with their eyes full of surprise. Only Jane, who was standing near, was as calm as a bell, with her eyes full of happiness.
As for this kind of man, there's no reason not to make him suffer.
Just as Jane felt pleased, the woman suddenly raised her head and looked at Jane with hateful eyes. Before Jane could explain, she had already rushed over with her bag.
Jane hurriedly backed away. There should be nothing behind, but she suddenly bumped into something. Looking back, she saw a familiar color of the clothes. Edward held Jane with one hand, while raising the other hand to easily carry the bag that the woman was trying to drop.
The woman was resentful and tried her best, but she couldn't pull away or press the bag in her one hand.
With a dark face, Edward pushed forward without a trace. The woman immediately took a step back. He asked solemnly, "What are you doing?"
The woman pointed at Jane and yelled, "Bitch, don't you know that he has a wife and children? And the children are even just few years younger than you. Doing such bad things, are you still a person? You deserve to be fucked..."
She was saying the words as unbearable as possible. Edward's expression turned cold in an instant. It was obvious that if it wasn't a woman in front of him, he would have beaten her. Even if it was a woman, he still wanted to give her a slap in the face.
A man not far away came over and pulled the woman, trying to drag her away. The woman spat, scolding Jane while beating him. Edward stepped forward, while Jane stretched out her one hand and dragged him, then she expressionlessly said to the woman, "I support you to take a revenge, but first of all, you need to distinguish people clearly. Don't misunderstand a good person, and don't miss any bad person either. By the way, the person you are looking for is there."
While speaking, she stretched out her fingers and pointed to the mistress who was a few meters behind the woman, stunned and terrified.
