Chapter 93 Cautious, Jealous

Chapter 93 Cautious, Jealous
"Well, I wonder how they stepped on your toe. You fought three at once, and that was at a wedding! Can't you just suck it up?"
The news was hidden strictly in Y City. Edward Smith also didn't tell Vincent Perez, and it was not until last night he heard about it. Then He took the last flight to Y City that night, for fear that Edward would suffer losses.
But it was obvious that Edward Smith could never be put at a disadvantage. Though he was not the big boss here, no one dared to get even with him in Y City.
Turning a deaf ear, Edward just stared at the screen of the mobile phone and immersed himself in the game.
Vincent said, "Stop it! I''m asking you."
Edward's face was expressionless. "They've got my goat." he said.
Vincent didn't know whether to cry or laugh. "It happens to you a lot. But three at a time?"
Edward said, "It can be more sometimes. Don't be so fussy."
Vincent was speechless. "Edward, here is Y City, not S City. Among the three you hit, one is the son of the big boss of the Education Bureau, the other is the son of the vice president of the Land Bureau, and the last one, someone in his family works at the police station. Are you going to get this whole tit for tat thing going? Against the whole officials of Y City?"
GAME OVER showed on the phone screen, Edward frowned. And then he took a glance at Vincent. "If they can't blow their cool and think I'm taking a shot at them. Then come on, whatever. And can you stop droning on? I can't even play the game." he said in a deep voice.
Vincent said, "Don't test that new game anymore. Is the game more important or the school? You don't want to run your new school?"
Edward didn't turn a hair and said, "Just leave me alone. And this is this. If they are irritated, just hit back. Don't they dare to make things hard for me!"
Vincent was shook and didn't know what to say at the moment. Then he just gave Edward a thumbs up and said, "Fine, you win."
Edward put out the cigarette butt and said, "Initially I was not so confident about running a school here. But now, if The ministry of Education doesn't approve it, I won't leave here. And I'm gonna see who can do it, if not me."
Vincent was so astute. Hearing this, he said significantly, "It must their faults."
Edward didn't care a dump. "Am I a hassle?"
Vincent said at once, "NO, you are not. They started it all."
Edward said seriously, "They asked for it. Not my fault."
...
Jane only had one day off in a week, that was Sunday on which she was also just allowed to adjust her working hours. She made an appointment with Justin and Henry to play football in Rhine Garden where there was a football field.
Three people were not enough. So she called Aaron Hunter to make two teams. Two to two.
Among the four, Henry Perez really didn't like to play football, while Jane has never played football before. Aaron Hunter, the former goalkeeper of the elementary school football team who has been "retired"for many years. And Justin, a football lover who usually only played with dogs. So it could be imagined how suck they would play.
The worse they played it, the more serious they take it. It was said that the ignorant fears nothing. It seemed that they just kicked at random, and it was totally a mess which fulled of tearing, shoving, and rampage. Sometimes when Jane kicked too excitedly, she even wanted to smash Aaron Hunter's Hair. But as a teacher, she held back her impulse.
After playing for an hour and a half, they have drank all the four bottles of mineral water that Jane had prepared in advance, and were still tired and thirsty. Then Aaron Hunter invited them to his house.
Aaron Hunter lived downstairs in Jane, and the layout of their apartment was the same. So when Jane came to his house, it was just like being at home. While Aaron Hunter went to take a bath, Jane went to the kitchen to prepare the fruit plate.

Henry Perez and Justin were sitting on the sofa. There were a lot of game devices in Aaron Hunter's house, but Justin just saw the mobile phone on the coffee table at first sight. The mobile phone was specially customized by Edward Smith's company for the new game and would be launched simultaneously after the game was launched. There are none on the market, so he couldn't get it wrong.
When Aaron Hunter finished shower and came out,Justin asked, "Have you played the game yet?"
Aaron Hunter said yes, and Jane has already heard the heated discussions of the boys in the kitchen. When she came out with the fruit plate, the phone had already in Henry Perez's hands, Aaron Hunter and Justin sat next to him and watched the battle separately.
Though Edward Smith was not at home, Justin was fine to be left alone, but Henry Perez was not. After sitting upstairs for only half an hour, a call came from his home, "Where are you?" Rachel Perez asked.
Henry Perez said directly, "I'll go back right away."
Hanging up the phone, he asked Aaron Hunter, "Do you still want to play?"
Aaron Hunter said, "I've finished all the tasks, and was about to give back to Jane."
Henry looked at Jane, "It's not mine, it's Justin's Uncle Edward's phone. And I took it back just wanted the experts to help me make a user experience." Jane said.
Justin said generously, "If you want to play, just take it back."
"Thank you, I'll give it back to you when I completed all the tasks."
Jane was afraid that child would be unreliable. So before Henry Perez left, she said, "This is an internal test game, just play it at home, and don't give it to the people outside."
Henry Perez nodded. He got up to leave, and Justin followed. "I'm leaving too."
Jane and Aaron Hunter saw them out, and went back when they got into the car.
When Henry Perez returned home, he saw a person sitting on the sofa in the living room. "Linda." he called.
Linda looked at him, who was wearing a T-shirt and shorts, and said with a smile, "Dressed so sporty. What did you do ?"
Henry said, "Played football."
Linda said, "When did you start playing football?"
Henry was expressionless, "Today."
Actually, he didn't really understand why some adults all liked to fumble something to say.Like when did you start playing football, when did you start singing, and when did you start eating meat? Why were they so curious?
He said indifferently with a bitter face. "Don't talk to me like this, it's so rude." Rachel said.
Henry raised his head. "I did start playing football today. Why do you ask me if you don't believe me?"
Saying this, he turned around and walked to the room. Leaving Rachel and Linda behind, one complaining and one expressing her polite care.
Back in the room, Henry sat on a chair and played games. After a while, Linda knocked on the door and came in with some food. Seeing the mobile phone case in his hand which logo was a company of Edward Smith, she smiled and said, "Edward gave it to you?
Henry said, "No."
"Then where did you get it?"
" My teacher's home."
Linda was stunned for a moment. She narrowed her smile, and asked tentatively, "Your teacher? Jane?"
"Yes."
The smile wiped off from her face for a moment.
Though he said it casually, Linda has kept it in mind.
Edward Smith's company has been working on a new game a year ago. She has heard of it for a long time, but she has never seen it. And no one around her has ever seen it. But Henry said that this mobile phone was got from Jane.
He would share such an important and private thing with someone who has only known for less than two months. There must have something between them.
Henry played so seriously and didn't notice that Linda's face changed behind him. When Rachel called him out from the door, he just finished one round. Then he got up and walked out impatiently.
Linda stared at the phone on the table and felt sad, angry and incredulous. As if it was a private thing of her boyfriend which was left in other woman's home.
