Chapter 89 To Avenge Her

Chapter 89 To Avenge Her
Jane was not considering whether Aiden was handsome or not but wanted to return his clothes to him as soon as possible.
The wedding ceremony on the stage was over, and guests under the stage started to dine. Susan went to the back lounge and changed into a toasting dress. The best man and bridesmaids had to follow behind and toast the guests at the table.
Jane turned a blind eye to Andy. Andy felt that she was arrogant, especially with a man's suit jacket hanging on her arm, which made him feel ashamed. "Why does he pursue her and she doesn't want him but other men? Does she look down on him?" he wondered.
A group of people toasted to the guests at the table next to Aiden. Seeing Cornel and Susan talking to someone, Jane wanted to return the coat first. Anyway, it was only a few steps away, so she walked in the direction of Aiden. Andy stared at her back coldly, and a waiter with a plate happened to pass by. He stretched his leg and tripped the waiter up without thinking.
The waiter stumbled, and the plate in his hand went straight to Jane's back. It was a plate of sizzling beef, which had just been served from the charcoal fire. The waiter only dared to serve it with heat-insulating gloves.
Jane of course didn't have eyes on her back, and she walked to Aiden's side in two steps. Suddenly Ken pulled her hard, and she was dragged and fell to his side. Ken got up so quickly that the chair behind him almost fell over.
Before Jane realized what happened, she caught a glimpse of something passing behind her and going straight toward Aiden. Aiden quickly reacted, got up, and stepped back. Fortunately, the iron plate did not fall on him, but the meat and vegetables on the plate still splashed on his pants.
Then, there was the sound of plates falling to the ground, the sound of chairs scratching the floor, and the exclamations of the guests at the same table. For a time, half of the people in the banquet hall stopped to look here.
Still taking hold of Jane's arm, Ken asked her, "You didn't get burned, did you?"
Jane shook her head with a pale face and looked at Aiden who took the napkin on the table and tidied his pants. Cornel and Susan rushed over as quickly as possible and kept asking him.
The waiter was terrified and kept saying sorry, but fortunately, Jane didn't get burned. Aiden also said, "It's okay."
Cornel was very sorry. Aiden smiled, "Since I didn't get the bouquet, it's not bad to get an 'appetizer'."
Cornel knew that Aiden was offering him a way out, so he laughed, "I'm very happy that you can come to my wedding. There is nothing to give you, I can only give you a 'jackpot', and I wish you good news soon on what you're busy with recently."
They drank a toast on the spot, and it was over.
Jane was still holding Aiden's coat and wondered why it was so difficult to return the clothes. The more she wanted to keep a low profile, the more people witnessed.
She handed the coat to Aiden and tried hard to pretend to be calm. "Mr. Cater, thank you for your coat."
Aiden took it and looked calm. "You're welcome."
Ken looked around and asked, "What's wrong?"
Jane was embarrassed to explain, and Aiden said as usual, "She is my junior at Y University."
Jane's mind went blank again, and she thought Aiden didn't know who she was.
Ken felt surprised, "Do you know each other?"
Aiden did not respond to him, but looked at Jane and said, "You are welcome to join Forward Education."
Jane was very excited, and she could feel her blush scarlet. Nodding subconsciously, she replied, "I will continue to work hard."

This was a large-scale, unexpected meeting between a fan and an idol. Naughty and unexpected, God did not give her any chance to prepare. She seemed to return to the moment when she was standing on the podium of Y University. When Aiden handed the certificate to her, he would say softly every time, "Congratulations, keep working hard."
People around her were always joking that Jane liked Aiden. She explained too much and stopped correcting it. It was a kind of spiritual worship that surpassed love. She didn't become his fangirl only because of his handsome face. She only felt that his excellence made her a little weak, even unconfident.
She tried to be like him.
Seeing her nervousness, Ken looked her up and down and asked, "Why are you blushing?"
Jane had already improvised, so she couldn't afford to be teased on the spot, and quickly said, "I would blush when I'm scared. Thank you just now."
Ken smiled, "Just invite me to dinner when you go back to S City."
Jane replied, "Excuse me, I'll go first."
She raised her skirts and walked away. Ken said to her back, "Be careful."
Jane was far away from Aiden, and her face naturally returned to fair. Cornel and Susan were at Edward's table. The average age of the people at this table was around fifty, and only Edward was "wet behind the ears", but everyone politely recommended Edward to be the representative.
Cornel was also very respectful to Edward and thanked him for coming from S City.
They made small talk, but when it was time to drink, Edward stopped Cornel. He took a large goblet for drinking red wine from the table and filled it with spirits, at least half a pound.
At first, everyone thought that Edward wanted Cornel to drink from the large goblet. It was not impossible, just unnecessary. Jane also felt weird.
Edward smiled, "Marriage is a great joy. As the saying in S City goes, a glass full of wine, and eternal love. I drink a toast to you."
Jennifer thought, when did S City have such a custom?
While speaking, Edward handed the glass forward. It's not to Cornel, but to the best man beside Cornel, Andy.
Andy looked confused, and Edward looking at him said, "The groom still has important things to do, so the best man should help drink the wine."
Others may not have seen the scene where Andy secretly tripped the waiter up before, but Edward happened to see it.
Andy didn't want to drink, but in such a situation, he couldn't say no, considering his own identity and Edward looked at him like he was acting fake friendly.
Therefore, Andy had to grit his teeth and drink a large glass of spirits. After drinking, he started to feel dizzy. He thought it would be over, but didn't expect that Edward suddenly laughed and said to him, "The northern man is really forthright. Let's have another drink."
Edward drank from the small glass before, which was a tenth smaller than Andy's glass. This time he also took a large goblet, filled it without saying a word, and drank a toast to Andy.
How could someone refuse Edward's toast? Although Cornel felt strange, he still had to show respect and smiled at Andy, "Hurry up, you must drink this glass of wine."
Cornel was afraid that Andy would refuse Edward out of recklessness.
Andy couldn't figure it out, but he could still consider the situation. Since Cornel asked him to drink, he had to drink even if he didn't want to.
In this way, they drank large goblets of spirits in front of everyone.
Jane secretly looked at Edward's face and wondered whether Andy and Edward were enemies. It was obvious that Edward was making fool of him.
Andy drank more than one pound of spirits in one breath and didn't look well. He even didn't have time to say excuse me, turned around and walked out quickly.
Edward's expression didn't change. Jane thought to herself that he probably just held on.
