Chapter 86 See an Acquaintance in a Thousand Miles
In Y City in October, it was only a dozen degrees during the day, so it's okay to wear a thin coat, but it would be definitely cold to expose arms and back. Jennifer immediately shivered as soon as she and Jane went out. Jane put her arm around Jennifer's shoulders and said, "Just a few more steps and we'll get in the car."
Suddenly feeling something covering her back, Jane turned her head and saw Andy with a cigarette in his mouth, who stood behind her wearing a white shirt and was putting a suit jacket on her.
Jane turned sideways to avoid him, and said, "Thank you, no need."
Andy took the cigarette from his mouth and said like they were acquaintances, "Get dressed, it's too cold. Don't catch a cold."
Jane smiled, "I really don't need it, just get in the car right away."
She and Jennifer took a few steps to quickly get into the car, followed by Andy. He directly changed the driver and drove by himself. His intention was obvious, and Jane was embarrassed to change the car temporarily. Anyway, Jennifer was still in the car.
Jennifer was also used to seeing similar scenes, and said as if no one else was in the car, "If only your boyfriend was free on the weekend, and we could come and go back together."
Jane got it right away, and said with a calm face, "What a pity."
Andy in the front seat blatantly adjusted the rear-view mirror, looked at Jane behind him, and said, "Are you college classmates of Susan?"
Jane said 'yeah'.
Andy smiled, "I only know that Y University is known for talented girls, but I didn't expect it also has beauties."
Jane didn't want to speak, so she only gave a faint smile.
Andy said again, "What does your boyfriend do?"
Jane lied, "Policeman."
Andy said calmly, "It's good to be a public servant, but just too busy. It's a great pity he couldn't come with his beautiful girlfriend."
There was also a best man in the passenger seat, who agreed with a laugh, "Yeah, if I had such a beautiful girlfriend, I would do nothing every day."
Jennifer changed the topic, and said softly, "Have you been booked up from Monday to Saturday? Some people who want to ask you to be the tutor have come to me. There are still reliable customers. It depends on whether you have time."
Jane answered, "I don't have much time, but I can try to squeeze one or two classes into Monday to Wednesday afternoon."
Andy was oblivious and interposed, "Are you a teacher?"
Because he's a friend of Cornel, Jane had no choice but to respond to him, "Yes, a tutor."
"What do you teach?"
"Math and Physics."
Andy said with a laugh, "Amazing. I didn't expect you to teach science at all. Where do you work?"
"S City."
The man in the passenger seat said, "Why did you study in Y City and go to S City to find a job? Isn't Y City better than S City? How about letting Andy help transfer you back to Y City? His father's few words can work."
He only wanted to brag, and what he said was simply ridiculous. It's none of their business where she worked. They only wanted to show off the unusual identity of Andy's father.
Jane's smile completely disappeared and didn't answer at all. Whoever liked embarrassment would be embarrassed.
Andy said, "Since you also work in the education system, it doesn't matter if you're in S City. Let's exchange contact details when getting off the car later. Call me if you have any problems."
Jennifer knocked Jane with her elbow, "Look at your phone, it's vibrating. Is it your boyfriend?"
Jane pretended to seriously take out her mobile phone and sent Jennifer a WeChat message without changing her expression. Jennifer said, "One is a boaster, and the other is a flatter."

Jane said, "I should have brought Aaron's police uniform."
Jennifer said, "I'll ask him to call you."
Jane restained her laughter. "Be serious. I'm tempted to laugh."
Jennifer said, "It's annoying that I get in trouble every day because of your beauty. I have nothing special when standing with you."
Jane didn't say anything but sent her a red envelope. Jennifer opened it and saw eighty-eight cents. She said, "My wounded heart is only worth eighty-eight cents?"
Jane couldn't help laughing out loud.
Andy looked at her in the rearview mirror. She was beautiful from every angle. The more he looked at her, the more he liked her. Such a person should be a little arrogant, and he was happy to butter her up.
A fleet of ten wedding cars drove to the door of the hotel. As soon as Jane and Jennifer got out of the car, they saw Aaron. The three of them seemed to be cold towards strangers. Andy and a few people stood not far away to smoke and discuss countermeasures for him.
Cornel had a high official position, and they were in the capital, so the wedding can't be held in a big way. There were more than ten tables of guests, and two tables were friends or relatives of the bride, and the rest were Cornel's friends.
Someone brought them to the table, and as soon as Jane sat down, her phone rang. When she took it out, she saw "Ken" calling.
After watching for a few seconds, Jane silently put the phone back into the bag, pretending not to see it.
Jennifer was complaining to Aaron about the best man group. Jane took out a gold paper-wrapped chocolate from the plate. She woke up too early and didn't eat and drink, so she was a little dizzy with hunger at the moment.
Surrounded by strangers, she simply kept her head down until someone pulled the chair from her right side and sat down. Out of courtesy, she had to look sideways, but when seeing who it was, she even forgot to bite the chocolate in her mouth, and her left cheek bulged out.
Ken sat casually, facing Jane sideways, with his arms on the back of the chair, and stared at her significantly. After a few seconds, seeing that she still didn't speak, he could only pretend to be unhappy. "Why don't you answer my call?"
With a "crack", Jane crunched the chocolate, chewed it a few times, and replied, "There are always strangers calling recently. I didn't know it was you."
Ken glanced at Jane's dress. "Aren't you cold? Put on my coat?"
Jane immediately shook her head. "I'm not cold."
Aaron and Jennifer didn't realize Ken was coming until they turn their heads. The former surveyed him and the latter directly startled.
Ken crossed Jane, waved his hand with a smile, and said to Aaron, "I know you, the childhood sweetheart of my sister. I heard that you went to Y University for her, and went to S City after graduation. You are devoted to her."
Jane thought to herself, "Damn!"
Before Aaron found what he meant, he had said subconsciously, "Yes."
Ken smiled when he heard the words, "It seems that there is a lot of cooperation between you guys. I didn't expect that you dare respond to whatever I say."
Jane tried to change the topic, "Why are you here?"
Ken said, "If I say I'm here to ruin the wedding, will you believe me?"
Jane asked calmly, "You like Anderson?"
Ken didn't expect this answer, and then he smiled like a blossom.
The hotel staff came to look for Jane. "Are you Miss Cooper? The bride said she wanted you to come over."
Jane was trying to get rid of Ken, so she immediately raised her skirts and left.
Ken looked at her back with a smile, got up, and walked to his seat. He answered a phone call midway, with the name "Aiden" displayed on the screen.
Ken asked, "Where are you?"
"Just arrived downstairs."
"Are you okay? I came from S City faster than you."
