Chapter 229 Warm And Safe

Chapter 229 Warm And Safe
On Saturday afternoon, Jane came to the Wright family for class, and Eloise opened the door for her. When they were greeting at the door, Jane heard the sound of a clap, and Eloise suddenly pulled her hand back, giving a little exclamation.
A marble smaller than a bean fell at their feet. Eloise turned her head, looking at the seven-year-old boy who was standing in the living room and aiming at her with a gun.
The boy seemed to be not afraid of anything, and he didn't laugh or excited. He just pointed the gun at his own sister with a cold look as if he was aiming at his prey.
Eloise's fingers were hurt by the marbles. She frowned at the boy angrily. However, the boy didn't care at all, pointing the gun at her face and pulling the trigger.
Fortunately, Jane pulled Eloise away in time. The bullet hit the door with a very loud sound, and it bounced back to Jane's body. Through two layers of clothes, she even vaguely felt the force, and it would be horrible to directly shoot the body.
Eloise cried out, "Rhett Wright!"
The boy pointed the gun at Eloise again, and then Jane stepped forward and blocked in front of Eloise. Jane seemed to be calm and peaceful, but she said without any expression, "Kid, put the gun down. It's rude to point the gun at others."
Rhett looked at Jane for two seconds, and then suddenly made a face with his tongue at them. He turned around and ran inside.
Jane and Eloise walked towards Eloise's room, passing through the living room, which was empty, with all kinds of toys scattered all over the floor, like a battlefield.
"Isn't your nanny at home?" Jane asked.
Eloise said, "Nanny took some time off today."
Jane said, "Isn't your mom at home either?"
Eloise replied to her, "She went to the beauty salon."
They went back to the room, and Eloise closed the door. Before Jane said something, a sudden burst of toy gun came from outside. The sound was very close, mixed with footsteps. Without looking, they knew that Rhett blocked the door on purpose.
Eloise didn't open the door. However, she raised her voice and said, "Rhett, can you go somewhere else to play? I have to study."
The boy responded to her with the noise of kicking the door.
Eloise was very angry and aggrieved, but she just stood still. Jane observed that Eloise didn't dare to open the door for the seven-year-old boy, or her own young brother. Nobody would believe it.
However, just now, Jane saw in person that the boy was pointing the gun at Eloise, and he even shot at Eloise twice. Everyone would be afraid of the boy, let alone the introverted Eloise.
Jane said through the door, "Don't make any noise, kid. I'll teach your sister now, and you are disturbing us."
Soon after Jane finished speaking, the noise and footsteps fade away together. Eloise sat on the chair dully, as if she was unable to respond to the situation, or as if she had dealt with it too many times and ran out of her strength.
Jane only came to the Wright family once a week, and every time she would talk with her first, asking her how she was doing this week.
Eloise always replied to her with matters about her study. She said, "Miss Cooper, I only have five months, and my grades are unstable. Do you think I can be admitted to my ideal university?"
Jane said, "You just said you still have five months left, and you work so hard. You can achieve double or more than other people in five months. You can do it."
Eloise said nervously, "Miss Johnson has told me many times that there is only one chance in life. I must grab it, or my life is over."

Jane said, "The college entrance examination is just a test. You guys take a lot of tests every day, like in-class quizzes and the weekly test. It seems to be the way of training your ability to take tests, turning the knowledge into your memory as much as possible. It turns out that these tests are telling you that they are just tests, and you have many chances. The grades can't represent everything."
Eloise said, "I want to go to my ideal university, and I want to enjoy life in university. I want to experience the interesting things you told me... and I don't want to repeat a year of school."
Jane got along with Eloise for a few months and could know that her current pressure was not only from her study but also from her family. She had good grades and wouldn't have had to worry so much. However, her family gave her a huge burden. Her father basically didn't come home, her mother only cared for the son, and her seven-year-old brother always bullied her, pretending to be innocent.
With such a dreary family environment, how could Eloise relax and study? Eloise was trying to escape from such a family and living atmosphere.
Jane said, "You have worked hard for so many years. I can't tell you and I'm in no position to tell you that you don't have to work so hard. I just want to tell you that you can live your life in many ways. You may think that being admitted to your ideal university is the happiest thing in the world, but I think that it's also good to go to the second or third university choice. You can make some friends, have classes with your roommates, and talk about which girl is the most beautiful one. We always argue about what to eat for lunch and dinner, and what to do during the holiday, going to the cinema or studying in the library."
Jane continued, "The good friends you meet at the university will be very important in your life. They won't be different because you are in an internationally renowned, a domestically renowned, or an ordinary university unless you are born to divide people into different categories. When people get along with each other, isn't it most important to be sincere and happy?"
Hearing the words, Eloise slowly raised her head and sighed lightly, saying, "Miss Cooper, when you come to my home, it is the happiest time of the week for me. When I'm with you, I feel like I can breathe normally."
Jane said, "I know you're very busy now, and you're not at ease if I ask you to go out to play. So after the exam, I'll ask Henry and Justin to go on a field trip together. I don't travel a lot in S City, so you can be my guide to introduce the famous places in S City."
Eloise said, "Actually, I don't travel a lot in S City either."
Jane said, "Then Justin and Henry will be our guides. They are good at eating, drinking, and playing except studying."
Eloise nodded with hope in her eyes.
After chatting for a while, Eloise was much more relaxed, so Jane began her classes. Not before long, the boy shouted from outside, "Eloise! Eloise!"
Eloise frowned slightly and said, "What's up?"
Rhett shouted, "I need to poop!"
Jane was disgusted with the kid who didn't get many disciplines. When Eloise was about to go out, Jane said, "Leave him alone."
Eloise also wanted to leave Rhett alone, but apparently, she had been bullied. She was afraid, but she must satisfy the boy.
Jane said, "He is seven years old, not three years old. Can't he go to the bathroom by himself? Your whole family has boiled him for a long time, so he will become such an annoying kid. If you don't educate him now, he'll grow up to be a bastard who doesn't recognize his parents."
Eloise had thought about this countless times in her mind and had complained to her family. However, her parents always ignored her and complained to her in turn, so her heart gradually became cold.
Every time Mary would praise Rhett as a cute boy in front of their mother, and she never said something when Eloise was bullied, pretending to be blind. Only Jane said the truth.
