Chapter 22 The Three Men Who Came Together

Chapter 22 The Three Men Who Came Together
Jane had three classes today. In addition to the time spent on the way, she was fully occupied all the day. Not caring about eating, she just wanted to take a bath and relax when she came home from work.
Jane had just wrapped her hair and was wiping her body when the doorbell rang suddenly. Then Jane hurriedly put on her pajamas and went out, "Who is it?"
No one answered outside the door. After looking through the peep hole of the door, she opened the door in a daze. She asked in surprise, "How did you find me here?"
Justin, who was about the same height as Jane, was standing at the door, wearing a white T-shirt, jeans and white sneakers. His handsome face was full of hints of "incognito travel".
Jane turned sideways. "Come in."
Justin asked deliberately, "Is it proper?"
Jane brought him a pair of slippers. Hearing this, Jane smiled and deliberately teased him, "Don't worry. There is no girl about your age in the room."
After changing his shoes and walking inside, Justin looked at the house, which was one-bedroom, only about forty square meters, thinking that it was smaller than his pet's room.
Jane followed behind and asked, "Did you come by yourself? Does your family know you're here?"
Justin sat on the sofa and said casually, "He's downstairs."
Jane took it for granted that the driver was downstairs. She pushed the fruit bowl in front of him and said, "Does your father know you're here?"
It was no wonder that she was concerned. Those rich families always had a lot of rules in their house, and Edward might not like her to have a private relationship with Justin.
Justin said, "He's downstairs." After that, without waiting for Jane's reaction, he added, "Do you like him?"
Jane was wronged. She said awkwardly, "Okay, I won't ask you anything about him again. I only have one question now. What are you doing here?"
Justin replied calmtly, "Take you out to dinner."
Jane subconsciously wanted to ask if it was he or his dad who invited her to dinner. But she was afraid that he would think too much so she said something else instead, "Because of what happened during the day? Don't bother. It's just a little help. Think nothing of it."
Justin said, "Don't tell me. Tell him yourself."
Jane was going to change clothes and go downstairs with Justin. If Edward was downstairs, she had to go to meet him. She was about to go to the bedroom when she heard the doorbell rang again. She walked to the door again, and saw no one through the peep hole. Suspiciously opening the door, Jane was about to peer out.
Suddenly a hand held the door. Jane was startled and instinctively pulled the door back. But the man was so powerful that she was almost pulled out.
A familiar face appeared before her. It was Eden.
Jane panicked and immediately thought of what happened on the street during the day. In this situation, nothing good would happen when he came to her.
She asked calmly, "It's so late. What are you doing here, Mr. Miller?"
Eden stared at her intently. From an arm's length away, she could clearly smell the alcohol on him. After looking at each other for a moment, he suddenly exerted his strength. While pulling the door open, he stepped into the room and reached out to grab Jane in front of him.
Wearing only her pajama, Jane stepped back. But he grabbed her neckline, revealing most of her shoulders. She cried out, "Aaron!"
After shouting, she remembered that Aaron wasn't home tonight. He went to pretend to be Jennifer's boyfriend.
While her neckline was pulled back, she tried to push away the man in front of her. In the chaos, a figure rushed up and punched Eden in the face. Eden didn't expect that there was still someone else in the room, and he was punched.

After letting go of Jane, Eden paused for two seconds to regain his senses. He went straight to Justin. Justin wasn't afraid at all. They fought head-to-head instantly. Justin, who was not as tall as Eden, was a child after all. He couldn't beat Eden. Jane rushed over and hooked Eden's neck from behind, pulling him back desperately.
At first, it was a confrontation between Jane and Eden. But now, a woman, a young boy and a drunk man were fighting violently. In the chaos, they didn't even hear the phone ringing.
Jane was thrown on the sofa by Eden, her calf hitting the corner of the coffee table. The pain made her open her mouth in an instant, but she couldn't make a sound at all. Tears blurred her vision. In a trance, she saw Justin who was struggling to resist but was punched by Eden. She wanted to get up and help, but she couldn't. A sense of helpless fear gripped her. For a few seconds, she had hallucinations. Scenes, characters and sounds were all different. The only thing that remained the same was violence and the overwhelming fear.
She couldn't and didn't dare to let herself lie down like that. Jane woke her senses with will and struggled to get up from the sofa. Before she could fully prop up her body, a figure quickly swept past her eyes, heading straight for Eden and Justin. The man was very tall and separated the two in almost a second. Justin was pushed away, and the man punched Eden who then staggered Before Eden could stand still, the man stepped forward and grabbed his shoulder and rammed him with his knee.
Eden was knocked down and vomited out. But the man still couldn't relieve his hatred. He grabbed Eden's hair and pressed him to his knees by the coffee table. Then, he slammed Eden's face on the table. At this time, Jane finally saw that the man was Edward with a cold face.
Edward had always been unscrupulous. He actually picked up the fruit knife in the fruit bowl and was about to stab Eden's ribs. Eyes widened, Jane said sharply, "Don't!"
The tip of the knife was less than ten centimeters away from the flesh. Edward looked up at Jane, who was pale.
Jane's pupils shrank in fright. She whispered, "Justin..."
Justin was still there. How could he be so cruel in front of the child? He shouldn't do it.
She didn't know whether Edward had got her point or the right idea. In the end, his knife did not stab downward. Jane's heart was beating fast. Before she became relieved, she suddenly heard a bang again. The vase shattered in front of her. Eden was lying on the coffee table, surrounded by water and broken glass. Soon, glaring blood was gurgling down his head. Jane looked at Justin stiffly. He stood aside with a fearless expression, holding the broken neck of a vase in his hand.
Edward let go of Eden in disgust. Eden flopped from the coffee table to the ground. Edward then made a call, "Come up."
Hanging up the phone, he glanced at Justin and said calmly, "Throw it away. Wash your hands."
Glancing at Eden, who was slumped to the ground, Justin threw the broken vase in his hand into the trash can, turned and walked towards the kitchen.
Jane was still sitting on the sofa. During the tearing, her towel for drying hair was thrown somewhere. With her long wet hair loose, she seemed to be in a trance, with a dull gaze.
Edward said, "Give me an explanation."
Jane was silent. Justin came back after washing his hands and replied, "It's nothing to do with her. That guy suddenly came to fight."
During the conversation, the bodyguards rushed over. Without Edward's orders, they deftly began cleaning. In just less than half a minute, they left after cleaning up the blood on the table and the glass slag on the ground.
Looking at Jane again, Edward said, "Get changed."
Jane lowered her eyes and replied, "Sorry, I'm not in the mood to eat tonight."
Edward said indifferently, "Go to the hospital."
