Chapter 211 Counter Attack Overnigh

Chapter 211 Counter Attack Overnight
The indoor gymnasium in the Rhine Garden community was just a decoration. And few people went there on weekdays, let alone to play table tennis in the evening there. The minute Jane and Justin entered the door, they saw Edward, who wore a dark blue turtleneck sweater and black slacks, sitting at the table and looking at his phone. And the short hair made him looked like a student who majored in sports in college.
Hearing the noise, Edward looked over and saw Jane who was also dressed in sports. Then he turned off the ping-pong sparring video he was watching on his phone, sat on the table and waited for her to come over.
Jane approached and said, "Mr. Smith." And then she took out a table tennis racket from the bag and handed it to him.
Edward touched the surface of the racket. It was a little hard and was much worse than the racket he used in the afternoon training.
He didn't say anything. While Jane said, "I bought it at the stationery store. Just try and put up with it."
Edward jumped off the table. While Justin was so curious and worried. "Uncle Edward, are you goot at playing table tennis?" he asked.
The reason why he asked was that when he saw Jane playing table tennis in the afternoon, he got to know that she was not a layman obviously.
Edward said, "I haven't play it for a long time and have lost my touch. Let's just have a try first."
Not saying that Jane has practiced all afternoon, Justin just sat quietly and watched.
Jane took out a table tennis ball and asked, "Who serve first?"
Edward said, "You first."
Then Jane served the ping-pong ball first in the first round. It was a normal one by which one couldn't tell her strength. And Edward also hit the ball back with the same strength as she did. Seeing them played back and forth, one could only know that they played smoothly and were the people who knew how to play.
Justin knew that Jane's strength was more than that, but he didn't know how much strength Uncle Edward had showed. During the first few balls, the two just played peacefully with different minds and even flattered each other.
Jane said, "Mr. Smith not only good at big balls, but also very good at small balls."
Edward said, "You are much better at table tennis."
After testing each other for a few rounds, Jane first adjusted the rhythm and atarted to speed up. Feeling a silent attack, Edward silently hit back, and tried several rounds in a row. Finally, they were even, and it was hard to tell who was better.
Edward kind of guessed what Jane was coming for today. It must be that she couldn't accept the result that she lost to him yesterday, and wanted to win him back.
In that case. "We just play like this? A friendly match is less interesting than a competitive match, right?"
Edward questioned during the intermission.
Taking a sip of water, Jane turned her head and asked, "What do you want to play?"
Edward said calmly, "Let's bet something?"
"Come on, I can't afford it."
"Just be honest. If I lose, I will add you 100 lessons. And If you lose, you need to make dinner for Justin for a month."
Justin's eyes lit up when he heard it. The game was becoming more and more interesting.
Jane said, "Betting on meal is ok, but not lessons. Change another one."
Eight hundred thousand RMB for one hundred lessons. What was the difference between it and gambling? And it's so embarrassing to win.
Edward asked, "What do you want?"
Jane thought for a while. "Can I just save it first?"
Edward replied freely, "Whatever."
Justin said, "If you don't make it clear now, what if she make some requirements that beyond your ability at that time?"
Jane looked at Justin and showed a expressed contempt for his behavior of protecting his uncle. "For example, like what?"
Justin replied without thinking, "If you ask Uncle Edward to marry you, does he has to do it?"

Jane laughed suddenly, laughing at his vivid imagination and narrowed mind.
Edward regarded her laugh as a mockery. Come on, was she thinking little of him?
"The risk does exsit, so it's better to make it clear."
Edward didn't turn a hair and looked serious.
Jane was speechless for a moment. And after a moment of silence, she said, "Then let's just bet a hundred lessons."
Edward screwed on the bottle cap, got up and said, "Come on."
Jane suddenly understood that you could talk about money with rich people, but never scare them. If they mistakenly thought that you wanted have some relationship with them, they would be really flustered.
Friendship was more important than competition didn't work in a game with a bet. Even not for the 100 lessons, Jane would try her best to win for her reputation. And also for Edward, 800,000 RMB was not a big deal, but a month's dinner was so attractive.
In the first round after the break, the atmophere between them was kind of fiery. They've matained a powerful offensive from the moment they served the ball and hit back and forth so hard, all trying to show a overwhelming offensive.
Justin was the only audience. He kept his head still and was dazzled with his eyes moved back and forth. It was really hard to say who would be the winner.
The match was the best of five sets. Jane and Edward both have won once in the first two rounds. When it came to the third round, the score between the two was very close. And finally, Jane beated Edward with a smash with her early experience.
A person liked her who was calm and almost indifferent in daily life, even couldn't help but clenching her fists to cheer herself up. It's so cool, as if she blocked Edward's shot.
Now Edward was out of sorts, just liked Jane on the basketball court last night. Every dog has its day.
And what Jane did also made him so annoying. Though being so pleased, she still showed a modest look and said to Edward, "Thanks for going easy on me, Mr. Smith."
Being so irritated, Edward still kept quiet and said calmly, "You are on your own in the next round."
Jane nodded with a smile.
The fourth round was so crucial that could decided whether Jane won or Edward had another chance to turn the tide. From the very beginning, Jane was merciless and attacked quickly and ruthlessly. Though there were no physical contact between them, the ball showed everything. Not only Edward, but also Justin understood that never offend her, or she would definitely take her revenge.
Jane wanted to KO Edward in this round, and Edward was immersed in dealing with it. After all, he just started playing table tennis this afternoon, and even the coach couldn't help but praising him for the performance. If he had played it since childhood, he might have got so many gold medals.
Edward had no interest in the world championship, and he just wanted to convince Jane and earned her admiration.
They stood on both sides of the table, hit back and forth. Jane was more experienced than Edward, while Edward was more quickly than her. So who would be the winner could only depend on luck.
When they all have got 10 points, here came the match point. After a tug of war, Edward was lucky to score. Though Jane was almost able to catch his ball, there's still some distance.
Justin was so nervous that he gnawed his fingers subconsciously. After the dust settled, he sighed with relief. The score of the game was two all in the four rounds.
Getting up, Justin said, "I'm going to the bathroom."
What he meant was that he was leaving, and told them to stop and took a rest. But Jane and Edward were both so angry. The minute Justin left, they immediately started the final. Finally, Jane smashed at the corner, and when Edward catched it, the ball flew away.
Looking at the woman who was smiling at him, Edward was a little bit speechless. This was the real her.
Petty and not very forgiving.
