Chapter 210 Foxes

Chapter 210 Foxes
Jane lived close to Justin now. At noon on Sunday, he strolled over to bum a meal off her. When Jane opened the door for him, he took a glance at her incidentally and asked, "What's wrong with your forehead?"
Jane's skin was pale, and there were no spots on her face. Except for a small red mark on her forehead, which was really conspicuous.
She said flatly, "It was caused when I was sleeping."
The red mark was in the middle of her forehead. Justin asked suspiciously, "You slept on your stomach?"
Jane couldn't tell him that it was his Uncle Edward who did it. "I can't?" she said stubbornly.
Justin said, "You are really a weirdo."
Jane changed the mold which was the same size as an egg tart and baked some sesame cakes. She saved two for Henry who had not arrived yet, and one for herself and one for Justin, and also put two in the bag, "Since I lost the game yesterday, this for your Uncle Edward."
As filia as Justin, he immediately said, "I'll send it to him first."
Since they all lived in the same community, it only took him about ten minutes to come around. Justin went back and knocked at the door of the master bedroom, and Edward let him come in. When he pushed the door and entered, Edward hadn't gotten up yet. With one pillow under his face and one in his arms, it seemed that he also slept on his stomach.
"Uncle Edward, I've brought the cake for you."
Edward was not quite awake. But when he heard the cake, he thought of Jane. This was the fruit of victory, although it was hard-won.
When he raised his head and was about to ask him to put one outside and the other in the refrigerator, he saw Justin put a small bag on the bedside table. "What is this?" he asked.
Justin said, " The cake."
Edward was at a loss and wondered how a bag the size of a palm could hold two sesame cakes.
Justin thought that it was normal for him to get eyes distracted since he had just woken up. "I gotta go." he said to himself.
Justin left so quickly just as he came. Edward took the bag down, opened it and saw two egg tart-sized sesame cakes. Instantly, he lay down on the pillow again. And he was pissed off and even wanted to laugh.
After a while, Edward found the phone next to him and called Jane.
The call got through. "What do you mean?" Edward said.
Jane said as usual, "What's wrong?"
She was pretending that she didn't know what was going on. While Edward said brankly, "Is the cake that you asked Justin to bring back for cat ?"
Jane calmly said, "I promised to make two sesame cakes for you yesterday. Just eat it while it's hot and fresh."
Edward sat shirtless by the bedside and smoked. "Do you have a beef with me? Just speak it out." he asked simply.
Jane said, "Mr. Smith, why would you say that?"
Though thinking it was so funny, Edward still said calmly, "If you've got financial trouble, I can help you. And you don't need to be so frugal."
Jane pretended to have an epiphany. "Oh, I see. You are not satisfied with the size of the cake. But, you didn't tell me your requirement. And I just thought that you can't eat up a bigger one, and it will make waste."
Hearing her hypocritical words, Edward said while flicking the ash, "You can't accept that you lost the game?"
"No, I am not your match and I've got to hand it to you."
"I am free this evening, you wanna paly?"
Edward asked her naturally. And he was a little bit concerned after asking, worrying that Jane would refuse.
Jane said, "If you wanna play, just tell me when. Do you want to play basketball? How about table tennis?"
Edward quickly replied, "Whatever, It's up to you."

"Then I'll prepare the racket, and call me anytime when you are free this evening." said Jane.
They had a deal for the battle. And when she just hung up, Justin came here too.
In the afternoon, Jane have finished lunch with Justin and Henry. And they used to play football with Aaron every week. While since Aaron had classes on weekends recently, there were only the three of them. "Come on, let's go and do something fun." Jane said.
They went to a nearby park. After buying two ping-pong rackets and a box of ping-pong balls at the sports store outside the park, Jane took them into the garden, and quickly found an organization- A group of old folks who were playing table tennis.
Neither Henry nor Justin knew how to play, so the two laymen just found a corner and practiced it. While Jane looked around and found a middle-aged man who was good at table tennis. She stepped forward to greet him with a smile,
" Hello."
The man turned his head and looked at Jane, who wore sports clothes and had a high ponytail which was difficult to tell she was in high school or college. And she was also a sweet talker with a beautiful face. The man quickly agreed to teach her.
Actually, Jane knew how to paly. But she hasn't played it for many years and has lost her touch. Practicing with those average people would't do any good, she neeed to find someone who was good at it.
While Jane was fully devoted to making preparations for the game this evening, Edward has ate two sesame cakes after getting up. And he also asked someone to find a person who could play table tennis immediately.
That night, Edward called Jane. "Since Justin and Henry are with you, just come out for dinner."
Jane said, "Oh, we are gonna eat spicy hot pot later."
Edward said, "Did you get secret train outside? I didn't see you played football in the community."
Jane replied with a light smile. "Just for fun. You know, friendship is more important than competition."
Edward was noncommittal. "Call me if you are done."
"Ok."
Edward hung up the phone and put it aside. He was in the table tennis hall at this time. The people stood opposite was a retired gold medal athlete who had been asked to play table tennis with him for the whole afternoon. And when he could finally take a rest, Edward said, "Again."
He had never played table tennis before, and was totally a layman. But he had promised Jane to play it with her, so he couldn't go there without any preparations. Temporary efforts would be of some use.
Jane also asked the man in the park to play it with her until it was dark. And when the wife of the man called him to go home for dinner, she sincerely said, "Would you like to eat with us?"
The man waved his hand and said with a smile, "No, thank you."
"No. Thank you for taking the time to practice with me." Jane said.
"You are not bad. And if you practice more, you'll make more progress."
"I'll learn it from you if there is a another chance."
Everyone was very delighted in the afternoon. Even Henry and Justin, who didn't want to play such small ball became interested in it and could play it many rounds.
After eating spicy hot pot in the evening, Henry was picked up by his driver, while Jane and Justin took a taxi back to Rhine Garden. She called Edward on the way home, and then they decided to meet in the community gym.
Hearing this, Justin said, "You are so cunning. No wonder you took us to play table tennis suddenly."
"I'm not. Don't you review before the exam?" said Jane.
Justin said, "Uncle Edward definitely won't do this kind of thing."
Jane curled her lips. "Yes. He is the best and is a genius, while I am just a ordinary people."
"Of course." Justin said flatly.
