Chapter 36 Deliberately Drag Her Into the Mess

Chapter 36 Deliberately Drag Her Into the Mess
Jane said, "Why do you always call your dad 'he' every time? He even watched a movie with you, so he would feel upset to hear you call him like this."
Justin said without any expression, "I didn't say bad words to him, so he didn't have to be upset. However, you have always been so polite that every time you call him 'Mr. Smith'. I don't know whether you have other plans in mind."
Jane didn't know whether to laugh or cry and said, "Could you please tell me what kind of plans I have in mind? I even don't know."
Justin slightly hummed and said, "I suggest you should not have any improper thoughts."
Jane had no choice but said to him with a palm salute, "Okay, I will do as you wish."
Justin knew that she didn't care about what he said, so he said nonchalantly, "Firstly, he doesn't like women of your type at all. Secondly, you have seen the woman who came to my house last time, and she always kisses the Smith Family's butt. She is very annoying, so if she knows that you have any improper thoughts, you will have a hard time in the future."
Jane knew that Justin was kind-hearted to say these to her, and he reminded her more of the latter one. She deliberately teased him and asked seriously, "He doesn't like women of my type, so what kind of type does he like?"
As expected, Justin changed his expression, pursing his lips, and Jane couldn't help to laugh and said, "Just kidding. I won't dare to have any improper intentions towards your father. I like someone else, and Mr. Smith is also not my type."
Justin was suspicious, and after a few seconds he said, "Do you like someone else?"
Jane slightly raised her eyes and said, "Is it rare? Why can't I like someone else?"
Justin glanced at her and said, "Your boyfriend in the future must be annoyed to death by you."
After saying that, Justin turned around and went to wash up in the bathroom without waiting for Jane's response.
She helped Justin make the bed, thinking that Smith and Justin watched a movie together last night, which was a quiet lovely scene though they didn't get along with each other very much. But then she thought that all the people of S City knew that Smith was in his twenties, so he had Justin when he was a teenager. Justin's mother was a mystery, and Smith couldn't make up the cultivation and care for Justin by watching movies with him one or two times.
Jane arrived fifteen minutes early today, which didn't affect the overall class progress. After the first class, she came down from upstairs on time. There were people in the living room, and she saw Smith who sat on the seat facing her, while she saw a figure with grey hair on the main seat and the back of a woman's head.
Smith took the initiative to make tea for the elderly. Hearing the voice, he looked up.
Jane met his eyes and saw the familiar indifferent look, unlike the look when he just got up, full of confusion and almost cute.
"Where's Justin?"
Smith looked at Jane and asked.
Jane secretly took a glance at the old man and replied, "He's still reading."
Comic books were also books.
Jane walked to the front of the tea table while talking and took a glance at Beth, the woman she met for the third time, who sat on the sofa behind the stairway.
Beth looked down to have tea, ignoring Jane.
The old man smiled and said, "It seems that Justin has behaved very well recently."
Smith said, "Thanks to Miss Cooper."
After saying that, he looked at Jane and said, "This is my grandfather."
Jane instantly thought what Baker had said that Smith's grandfather, was the number one in S City who could control anything. He could still do that now, but he was willing to step aside because of the social trend.
She hurriedly nodded politely at the old man, "How do you do?"
Lewis Smith smiled and nodded, "Hello." Lewis was benign and easy-going without any hostility.

Smith introduced Jane to his grandfather, "This is Jane, who is Justin's tutor now. Although she is young, her teaching ability is high-end."
Lewis said, "She can discipline Justin, so she must be skillful."
Beth smiled and said, "Grandpa, I'll ask Justin to come downstairs. You usually have had lunch now. Don't take too long."
Lewis smiled and said, "Okay, go ahead."
As it was time for them to have a harmonious time, Jane didn't want to be the third wheel. When she was about to take her leave, Smith said, "You also stay here together."
Jane looked at Smith. Although his expression was usual, she inexplicably felt that the words meant more than what he said, thinking that Beth showed up unexpectedly, and this was the first time Justin had made his appearance. It seemed that these things wouldn't happen together by coincidence.
Pondering a little, Jane could make a close guess of the situation. She deduced that Beth asked Lewis to come here to help her, or to ease her relationship with Smith. If this was true, Smith was intended to ask her to stay, whose purpose was obvious.
Jane didn't want to get involved, so she politely declined. However, Lewis said, "Please stay and have a meal together."
Smith looked at her and said before she declined, "It's still early for the next class, and I will drive you there after the meal."
Jane was forced to get involved in the messy situation again.
Not long, Justin and Beth came downstairs one behind the other. The reason why Justin came downstairs was that Lewis came here but not Beth. At the halfway, Justin called out, "Great-grandpa"
Lewis was having tea when he heard Justin's voice. He turned his head to look for Justin with the teacup in his hand. When he saw Justin's face clearly, he became more delighted and said, "Come here. Come here."
Beth followed behind. At first, she still smiled happily, but then when she found that Jane was there, her gaze became frigid.
Justin usually was like a mature, noble, and cool teenager, but when he sat next to Lewis, he was hugged and touched by his great-grandpa with great affection. Jane was easily amused, so she looked down, trying to keep a straight face.
Justin saw Jane in the corner of his eye, so he dodged uneasily and said, "Calm down, great-grandpa. Please don't hug me..."
However, hearing this, Lewis raised his hand to pet Justin from the top of his head to the back of his neck, and he even patted Justin's tailbone without any letup. Lewis laughed and said, "Do you have a tiger's butt? Can't I pet you?"
Jane lowered her head even more. Although she tightly pursed her lips, she couldn't control raising the corners of the lips. Smith noticed her and said, turning his head to her, "Laugh if you want. We allow you to laugh when you want in our family."
When he said this, people on the sofa all looked toward her. Justin was angry while Lewis was laughing. Beth seemed to be expressionless, but in her eyes, the emotion was raging like a storm.
Jane was discovered before them, and she could neither laugh nor hold her laugh. Smith, who had kept calm just now, was amused by her strange look with a half-smile, and he leaned on the sofa without saying anything but only smiling significantly.
Beth wanted to pick a fight just now because only Jane was snickering. However, now Smith totally allowed her to laugh, so she couldn't say anything.
Beth secretly moved past what happened just now and thought about what she would do today. She raised her head and said to Smith with a smile, "I paid a visit to grandpa today, and grandpa occasionally wanted to see you and Justin. I called you in the morning to tell you this, but you didn't answer. "
Smith said without any expression, "The phone was not with me."
Beth felt better when he responded to her words, even perfunctorily. She was about to chat more with Smith then, but unexpectedly Smith turned his head to look at Jane, asking her in a casual but intimate tone, "Did you see my phone when you woke me up?"
