Chapter 62 Extra Episode-Girls Don't Need to Apologize
Natalie didn't stay there for a long time; Luke arranged a room for her and took her to take a nap when she finished eating.
Natalie thought it was just a simple hour room at first, but Luke ordered a suite on the top floor of CBD with a panoramic view.
The room was large, with a grand crystal chandelier and a full cashmere carpeted floor.
"Well, I'll sleep for an hour at most." Natalie froze and looked back at Luke behind her, "I don't have to sleep in such a nice room."
Luke closed the door, came over to her, put his arms across her waist, and hugged her from behind, "But I was just trying to ask my girlfriend to forgive me."
Luke hesitated, rested his chin against her shoulder, and continued with a gentle chuckle, "Are you unable to sleep last night since you were wronged the day before?"
Natalie could tell he was saying it on purpose, teasing her misleading remark she had just made earlier while drinking.
"I didn't mean it!" Natalie was annoyed, and her face turned red again when she remembered the situation at that time, "Shame on you..."
Luke's lips were close to her ear, and he smiled softly, "You blame me for what happened?"
Luke's breath made her ears itchy, and Natalie leaned back in his arms, trying to retort but realizing it seemed reasonable.
So she was silent, not saying anything.
"Come on, let me get you to bed."
Luke kissed her earlobe, raised her arms around the back of his neck, bent over her legs, and gently carried her up.
Natalie thought, "I'm not so spoiled; I don't have to be carried for just a few steps."
But then Natalie thought, "D*mn, I seem to enjoy being spoiled by him."
Natalie wrapped her arms around his neck and suddenly couldn't say anything harsh.
At this time, Natalie inevitably thought about Forrest, her so-called ex-boyfriend. The fact that she was loved by Luke made her first love seem so silly.
If she wasn't sent to Alcomara by the police when she was lost in Flowery Alley but stayed here with him, what would their story have been?
Natalie walked and thought.
Although they all had a better future, every time she thought about it, she was slightly regretful. after all, it was eighteen years ago, not eighteen days. It was just like they stood in the same circle, but they had to go around a big circle to go back to the original point.
"What are you thinking about?"
Natalie suddenly came back to her senses and realized that she was put on the bed, and Luke sat at the bedside, looking at her calmly.
She shook her head consciously and said nothing. She glanced at him, grumbling, "This place is a bit too expensive for a nap."
"Why are you worried about it?" Luke bent over and took off her short boots, helped her lie down, and pulled the quilt over her. He gazed at her, then said, "I will give you everything you want."
As soon as she laid her head on the pillow, sleepiness overwhelmed her.
Natalie yawned with tears in her eyes and looked at him sleepily.
She blinked and suddenly said, "Luke."
"What?" Luke gently pulled back the strands of hair around her forehead.
Natalie wanted to ask, "If I didn't want to leave when I was a child, would you keep up with me?"
But on second thought, she thought it was a silly question.
Natalie thought, "He was also underage at the time, so keeping up with her would be a crime."
"How about you get some sleep too?" Natalie asked.
Luke laughed, leaning over and pressing his arms against the sides of the pillow, "I'm gonna have trouble sleeping at night if I take a nap..."
His breath fell on the tip of her nose with an ambiguous tone.
"Do you want me to sleep?"
"Wake me up in due time." Natalie moved to get herself comfortable, closed her eyes, and simply ignored his question.
Luke smiled gently.
He looked down and saw her hands resting on the pillow; she was sleeping quietly, very much like a kitten comfortably and lazily.
Ever since she finished her studies at Wolsher and came to Athana, it was hard for them to see each other again, and he wanted to be with her every day.
Luke got up and went to close the curtains, keeping the bright light out, instantly turning the bedroom dark.
He leaned against the bed, and looked at her cheek, but didn't want to wake her, so he just sat there.
Natalie moved at this moment, did not open her eyes, but lazily nuzzled her face against his suit trousers, clinging to him and hugging one of his legs as if to be pampered.
He liked the way she was clinging to him.
Luke laughed silently and put his hand on her and caressed her like he was putting a child to sleep.
After a while, Natalie fell asleep.
Natalie fell into a deep sleep without realizing it, and when she woke up again, she stretched out gently, yawning and asking dully, "What time is it?"
Glancing at the watch, Luke whispered, "1:40 pm."
She froze for almost three seconds.
Natalie opened her eyes suddenly, and as soon as she sat up, she was about to rush to get out of bed, crying, "Why didn't you wake me up? I almost overslept..."
Luke just smiled, "You're sleeping so soundly; how would I be willing to wake you up?"
"Stop it, Luke; I'm late." Natalie sounded aggrieved and bent down to put on her shoes in a hurry.
Luke grabbed her arm and pulled her up, "It's still early; you can sleep for another twenty minutes."
"It's 1:40 pm." Natalie glared at him.
"You don't have a shift this afternoon; you just have to attend the consultation at 2:30 pm in the department director's outpatient." Luke looked at her calmly.
Natalie was stunned and responded, "Right."
She was confused before.
Luke looked at her with a smile; he seemed to say, "My little girlfriend is so cute and silly."
"You do remember..." Natalie muttered softly.
Luke pinched her nose, "I couldn't be in a relationship with you before, so now I have to count the time to get it all back with you."
Natalie looked at him and thought, "Well, weren't you also very busy with other things during those years?"
-
After taking Natalie to the hospital, Luke drove back to the CBD.
The party was not over; now, they were getting drunk. They called him several times, saying that he had to have a couple of drinks with them after he sent Natalie.
Luke happened to have nothing to do that afternoon, so he went back and drank with them for a while. He held the wine glass, but all he could think about was Natalie's red face as soon as she drank the wine.
He thought, "She's such a lousy drinker; I'll have to coax her to have some wine when I get home."
Luke suddenly had a wicked idea, smiled, and drank all the wine in one gulp.
They were very excited and were going to drink with Luke one after another. They seemed in a good mood, so Luke did not refuse them, but he was still sober in the end, and they all got drunk soon.
It's almost 4 pm.
One by one, they walked out of the private room. They walked their way steadily, but someone was already starting to babble.
"Luke, where is Luke? Another round, drink it!"
"Come on; Luke doesn't have the pleasure of drinking with you."
"Tell me, why are you all left with half a bottle of wine?"
Luke, with his hands in his trouser pockets, walked slowly to the front; behind him was a group of people chattering.
The elevator was just right ahead, and across the corner, there was the sound of chatter coming from the elevator.
"Guess who I met in the hospital that day?" The man who spoke had a rough voice.
Someone asked in a shrill voice, "Who is it?"
He said with a gruff smirk, "Luke's chick."
Luke stopped walking, narrowed his eyes, and stood there.
Seeing Luke suddenly stop as if he was listening to something, the people behind him looked at each other with puzzlement and instantly held their breath and became quiet.
The conversation in the elevator continued.
"The doc chick that's been rumored online?"
"Yep." The man was laughing in his gruff voice, "Gee, she looks so pure; I want to bang her."
The high-pitched man joked, "Are you crazy? That's Luke's girl!"
The man said in a rough voice, "At least I have four suites in the city center. Can't she be happy to be my lover?"
"Yo, so you like her?"
"Just wait and see; no matter how pure she was, who knows how crazy she'll be in bed?"
Then they had a tacit smirk.
Luke narrowed his eyes, getting very upset and gradually frowning.
Luke did not say anything. He just took off his jacket and threw it away, hooked his fingertips around the collar of his shirt, loosened a few buttons with one hand, then stepped forward, clacking his knuckles.
Mark and the others froze in situ.
Seeing Luke disappearing around the corner, two seconds later, they heard the sound of shouting, followed by a panic begging of "Luke," then they heard a loud sound of their head hitting on the ground, along with muffled grunts and wails.
"Holy cr*p..."
Everyone knew that Luke was getting serious, and everyone was shocked.
Mark came to his senses and kicked a few people around him, "What are you doing? Do something!"
Duke rushed up first, "D*mn, that's what you get for talking nonsense!"
So a group of people rolled up their sleeves high and followed along furiously to fight.
Half an hour later, Athana No.1 Hosptial.
The ambulance drove into the emergency center with the sound of sirens.
At that time, Natalie just finished the outpatient auditing and was about to return to the office. And she was told by the nurse who went to the emergency center that Luke had a fight with people and was currently in the emergency room.
Natalie was frightened and immediately went straight with the nurse, and on the way, she got a general idea of what was going on.
When Natalie arrived, Luke was sitting on the armchair in the emergency room, with his coat draped over his left arm and gauze wrapped in his right hand; the wound had been treated.
Seeing her coming, Luke consciously put his coat over his right arm to cover his injured hand.
Seeing Luke like this, the group of people standing beside him felt guilty for some reason and greeted Natalie timidly.
Natalie ignored them and walked in front of Luke, frowning as she pulled his right hand out of his jacket and looked at it carefully.
Luke coughed lowly, "It's not a big deal."
It was indeed a minor injury. At that time, he casually smashed a porcelain vase by himself. The broken fragments of the vase unintentionally cut his hand.
After checking that the bandages were all right and making sure that Luke had no other injuries, Natalie pouted and frowned. She didn't say a word to him, just turned around and asked the nurse who was there before, "How are the other two patients being taken in by ambulance?"
The nurse replied, "They seem to get their heads broken; they got a few sutures, nothing serious."
Hearing that everyone was okay, Natalie sighed in relief.
After the nurse left, they were the only people in the emergency room.
Luke stood up, grabbed Natalie's hand, and squeezed it with his uninjured hand, "Are you mad at me?"
She was somewhat angry indeed.
She was worried to death on the way here, afraid that he had hurt himself badly or hurt people seriously.
Natalie turned her face away from him.
Seeing Natalie was really unhappy, Duke thought about it and tried to say, "Natalie, you can't blame Luke... those two men are talking about you, they are very disrespectful, so Luke just..."
Luke glanced away, and Duke abruptly shut his mouth.
Natalie was stunned and looked up, "Is it because of me that you did this?"
Luke looked at her and didn't answer.
After a long silence, Natalie calmed down, looked at him, and said softly, "I'm sorry..."
"I'll be careful next time," Luke said before her, "Girls don't need to apologize."
