Chapter 61 Extra Episode-You Scared Her
Natalie was still embarrassed after the incident just now. Her face flushed, and she muffled, "Don't talk anymore!"
She walked away and went straight to her department without looking at him. Luke was amused and followed her slowly.
After Natalie changed her white coat, Luke drove her back to Flowery Alley.
It was a rare quiet time early in the morning in Athana. The crowded roads during the day were empty at this time. The road lights were regularly distributed, looking like glowing hexagrams at night.
Natalie fell asleep and yawned in the passenger seat.
Out of the corner of his eyes, Luke noticed that she rubbed her hands and tucked them into her coat pockets. If she fell asleep now, it was easy for her to catch a cold.
"How about I take you to lunch at CBD tomorrow?" Luke turned up the heat with one hand and spoke to her.
Natalie said sleepily, "... Is it troublesome to run back and forth?"
"Don't you want to set your best friend up with a blind date?" Luke took control of the steering wheel and said with a smile, "A few of my friends are quite decent. We just happen to have lunch together. Why don't you go meet them?"
Natalie woke up instantly and stared at him, "Are they handsome?"
Luke glanced at her, but Natalie didn't pay attention to his expression, and continued to ask with interest, "Are they tall? How is their figure?"
"Well, why are you so excited?" He sounded dangerous, and Natalie's heart sank. She didn't want to go through last night again, and she hurriedly explained, "Mia likes this type. I think I should ask first."
While Luke was driving the car, he snorted lightly as if saying, "You'd not fix your eyes on them tomorrow."
"They're not as handsome as you." Natalie was witty this time. She was afraid that he would be jealous again, so she tried to comfort him.
"Really?"
"Yes." Natalie's voice was soft as the moonlight in the middle of the quiet night, "I only like you."
Luke couldn't help smiling. It seemed his girlfriend knew how to comfort him now.
It was incredible.
The next day, the outpatient clinic was relatively leisurely. Around 11 am, Natalie sat at her desk and played with her mobile phone, waiting to get off work.
She told Mia expectantly that she was going to find her a boyfriend soon.
Mia sounded excited, "Great! Nata! Let's keep in touch!"
Mia, "You know my type!"
Natalie typed with a smile, "Well, a tall and handsome man with at least six packs of abs."
Mia, "You know me so well! That's it! Be sure to take your boyfriend as the standard!"
Mia, "I love you!"
Natalie said playfully, "My boyfriend has eight packs. I counted them."
Mia was speechless.
Mia, "You're showing off again."
Natalie smiled.
At this time, she got a new message. It was Luke. He said that he was already at the gate of the hospital, and she could come down at any time.
After Natalie replied, she told Mia that she was ready to go.
Mia was so excited that she blurted out, "I'm waiting for a man!"
Natalie frowned.
Mia quickly retracted the message
Natalie warned her, "You have to be serious about dating, and you are not allowed to play with a boy's feelings."
Mia agreed.
Then she promised she would be serious with Luke's friends!
Natalie was dubious. When it was time to get off work, she changed back into her jacket and walked to the parking lot.
A black and red off-road vehicle was parked under the tree.
Luke always loved to drive off-road vehicles. Natalie remembered the army green Wrangler from Alcomara.
Athana experienced a sharp drop in temperature recently and the wind was blowing, but it was sunny that day. When the sun shone on the body, it felt warm and pleasant.
Seeing Luke's car, Natalie smiled and walked over. When she opened the passenger's door, she found a large bouquet of red roses on the seat.
Natalie was surprised. She picked up the rose and got in, immersed in the fragrance of the roses, "What is this bouquet for?"
"I bought it because I thought it looked beautiful." Luke put his hands on the steering wheel casually, and turned his face to look at her, "Don't you like it?"
"It's so beautiful." How could a girl not like flowers? Natalie leaned over excitedly, put the roses on her lap, put her arms around his neck, and kissed him.
Luke paused slightly. After a brief moment of pause, he looked at her with a faint smile.
"Why are you looking at me like that?" Natalie frowned in disapproval with her arms still around his neck.
He didn't answer and just smiled meaningfully.
"I'll never kiss you again..." Natalie muttered softly. She pouted and released her hands, and she was about to sit back.
"Don't." Luke grabbed her slender wrist and put it on the back of his neck, "Kiss me as long as you want."
"I don't want to kiss you now."
He squinted and smiled, "But I want you to."
Once a girl was accustomed to being so spoilt by her boyfriend, she could easily lose her temper.
Natalie snorted arrogantly and turned her face away.
At that moment, she saw the two men in the back seat.
Natalie held her breath and blushed suddenly.
Behind the passenger seat, Duke was holding his phone with a picture of a sports car on the screen with Mark next to him.
They were talking about cars before. The moment Natalie got in the car, they wanted to say hello to her. But when the young couple started chatting, they could only hold their breath and stay invisible.
Who would have thought that they would kiss?!
Duke reacted first and immediately smiled as if nothing had happened. He and Mark greeted Natalie loudly.
Natalie was silent for a while. After slowly realizing what was happening, she forced a smile, turned around, and sat up with difficulty. She gave Luke a dirty look quietly as if saying, "Someone else is here and why didn't you tell me?"
He looked at her innocently and seemed to be answering, "Just as they were about to say hello, you kissed me. It was too late."
On the way to CBD, Natalie hugged the roses and didn't speak anymore, looking out the window in embarrassment.
Natalie looked back when someone touched her ear.
Luke was looking at her with a smile, "Silly girl, get off the car. Are you still distracted?"
Natalie felt embarrassed again. She subconsciously glanced at the back seat, only to realize that Duke and Mark had gotten out of the car
Natalie looked at him angrily, and finally blurted out, "You said a few of your friends are quite decent. Were you talking about them?"
"Of course not." Luke helped her unlock the seat belt, and then raised his eyes, "They are just here for free food."
Natalie was still a little embarrassed.
She snorted and complained in a low voice, "... But why didn't they make a sound in the car?"
Luke shook her head and said with a smile, "That's right. I'll teach them a lesson for you later."
Natalie glanced at him, "You didn't warn me either."
"I'm sorry." He sounded sincere and admitted his mistake without any hesitation. Natalie fell silent, and she couldn't blame him now.
In the VIP box on the top floor of the hotel, a large round table for twenty people was only half sparsely seated.
Duke and Mark arrived first. It was hardest for them to keep their mouths shut. As soon as they came in, they enthusiastically told others what they had seen with their own eyes and finally said, "If we were not there, Luke and Natalie would have done it in the car".
"This is so wild! Luke is amazing!"
"You're wrong. Natalie started it!"
When Luke brought Natalie in, they were all sighing in amazement.
Hearing footsteps, they all looked up at the door and saw Luke and Natalie. She was tall and beautiful.
They were so impressed by her beauty.
Immediately, Luke and Natalie approached, and the people at the table stood up and greeted her loudly, "Hello, Natalie!"
Natalie shuddered in surprise and nodded with a smile.
"Be quiet," Luke said calmly and glanced at them. They immediately fell silent.
After the two were seated, everyone else sat back.
Mark glared at the man who was the loudest when they greeted Natalie as if saying, "You scared her."
The man glared back and protested, "You were the loudest one!"
Duke cleared his throat. They'd better pay more attention next time. Luke was a very protective boyfriend.
"What would you like to drink?" When Luke asked, Natalie's eyes fell on the coconut water in front of her.
He raised his chin, "You want this?"
Natalie nodded.
Luke got up and touched the glass bottle with the back of his hand first. It was warm. Then he grabbed the handle and brought it over to pour her a glass.
All the single men at the table sighed with envy. How could Luke be such a considerate boyfriend? What had Natalie done?
Some of them had met Natalie before, and some had not. But they all agreed that she was very important to Luke. They were very nice to Natalie and offered to have a drink with Luke. But Luke waved his hand and refused. He had to drive her back to the hospital later.
Seeing that there were already quite a few dishes on the table, Natalie shook her head at the waiter and said no more dishes.
"No more?" Luke asked, running his fingertips over the stray strand of her hair by her temple and tucking it lightly behind her ear.
Natalie nodded and thought about it, "Just grab a bite. I still want to take a nap."
"Are you sleepy?" He laughed.
She pursed her lips, "I didn't sleep well last night."
With that, all other men who had been talking loud fell silent. After two seconds of silence, they started talking again.
In those two seconds of silence, Natalie suddenly realized that what she said was ambiguous. She was so embarrassed that she stopped talking and lowered her head to eat with a blushing face.
