Chapter 3 The Third Son Of The Wu Family
Matchmaker Li waved her hand, "If I can share your happiness, what does it matter?"
Then she turned and looked at Su Jiuyue, who followed her like a small quail, and called her, "Little Jiu, this is your mother-in-law who is a kind person. From now on, you must treat her as your own mom."
She was also hinting Su. In her husband's house, she married a man like that. Who else could she rely on but her mother-in-law?
Su Jiuyue, half shy and half confused, said nothing for a while.
Liu Cuihua broke the embarrassment with a smile, "Good girl, this child may be shy, let's enter the house first."
Matchmaker Li did not refuse this time. She had worked so hard to make a match for Liu's son, so she deserved a bowl of tea Liu gave her.
Li was about to enter the door, but saw that Su Jiuyue was standing still, so she stretched out her hand, took Su's hand and went into the gate of the Wu family together.
There is a water vat in the middle of the Wu Family's courtyard, which is large and clean.
Water can gather wealth, so even the poorest family will put a water vat in the yard. The children will bathe in it in hot days.
Unfortunately, this is a blank year, so vats in most families' yards are empty.
The corners of the yard are lined with neat stacks of firewood, and there are still a few corns hanging under the eaves.
There are three rooms on the east side and three on the west. Counting the main room and the hall, there are eight rooms totally. It is indeed much more splendid than the Su family.
Liu Cuihua led them into the door and shouted at the kitchen, "Zhaodi! Bring me a pot of tea!"
As she was shouting, she lifted the curtain. Matchmaker Li took Su Jiuyue into the hall.
As soon as she entered the hall, all the people present looked at her. Su Jiuyue did not dare to take a closer look, but lowered her head, feeling that there must be at least a dozen people, old and young.
Su Jiuyue kept her head down and heard murmurs now and then, which made her face redder.
Suddenly a childish voice sounded, "Are you the little aunt my grandma bought with a tael (a unit of weight used in east Asia approximately equal to 1.3 ounces) of money?"
Jiuyue's face quickly turned from red to pale. Biting her lower lip, with tears filling her eyes, she just wished there was a crack in the ground for her to slip into.
The child's mouth seemed to be covered by someone immediately, and a young woman laughed, "The child spoke without any consideration."
How could Liu Cuihua not know how her two daughters-in-law gossip in secret, but she didn't expect that they would even tell their children these? !
Today she has to declare herself, otherwise, it's hard to imagine how this girl, with such a husband, will be bullied in places she fails to see in the future.
"Huh! The child doesn't know anything, isn't it all taught by adults?! Tian Xiuniang, apologize to Jiuyue sincerely today, or you won't be allowed to eat dinner tonight!"
Tian Xiuniang didn't expect her mother-in-law to make her so shameless when the third brother's wife came to this family for the first time.
She was really annoyed, but the power in the family had always been in the hands of her mother-in-law, so she didn't dare to misbehave.
Seeing everyone in the hall staring at her, she said to Su Jiuyue reluctantly, "Jiuyue, I'm sorry that I didn't educate the child well. Don't take it to heart."
New to this family, Su Jiuyue couldn't make a fuss about the child, so she kept silent.
Liu Cuihua didn't hold on to this trifle all the time. Anyway, it's a happy event to have someone new to this family today. She smiled and took Su Jiuyue to a man in the corner, "Jiuyue, this is my third son Xiyuan, and you will live with him from now on."
