MARA'S POV
"You look, well-dressed wife. Do you have a date?"
I look at my husband and smile. "Yes."
He furrowed. "I didn't know that we have a date today."
I chuckled I put down my lipstick and went to my husband.
Maru is jealous of Alex. He's very vocal about it. I can't understand why he is still jealous of him.
I already told him I love him. I don't see any reason for him to get jealous.
Alex is just a friend, and will always be just a friend to me.
"I told you yesterday that I have a date with Yelle and Alex." I reminded him.
His brow remained furrowed. "I don't think I said yes to that date."
I sighed and just give him a quick kiss on the lips.
"Hon" trying to convince him through my sweet voice.
His face remained serious. It's as if he is not affected by my sweet voice. It's really hard to convince Maru especially when he is jealous.
I can't understand why he is being like that.
Alex and Yell are my best friends. Yes, Alex courted me before but it's all clear now that what I can offer him is just friendship. And he accepted it.
He left me for years for him to move on. And now he's back because he finally moved on. Plus I'm married, so it is crystal clear that we can't be together.
And most importantly I am in love with my husband.
Maru should meditate on that fact.
"Please." I pleaded with him.
I sighed and went back to what I was doing earlier.
I saw his mouth drop. He didn't expect that I will still leave whether he agreed or not.
"Mara." He called me.
 I can sense the irritation in his voice, but I chose to ignore him. I didn't mind him and just continue doing my makeup.
He sighed. "You will not follow me don't you?"
I did not give him an answer because I'm starting to get irritated.
"Fine do whatever you want." He said and went back to our bed.

I went out of our house ignoring him.
He's being childish.
He needs to understand that Alex is my friend.
Also, I can't miss this meeting. It's been years since our group got complete. And I was planning to tell them the good news.
I saw Alex and Yelle upon entering our favorite hangout.
This café serves as our study place. We do our assignments and group projects when we were still a student.
Yelle waved at me while Alex just gave me a warm smile.
"Sorry, guys I'm a bit late. My husband is throwing a tantrum."
They both chuckled.
"Throwing tantrums?" Yelle asked while laughing.
"He doesn't want me to be here," I told them.
Alex creased his brow. "Why is that?"
I was about to answer when Yelle answered on my behalf.
Yelle rolled her eyes. "Duh?! Isn't it obvious?! It's because of you! You courted Mara before that's why he's getting jealous of you."
"Mara?" I can see amusement in Alex's eyes.
Seems like he is enjoying what he just heard.
I sighed. "Yes."
He smirked. "Interesting."
I glared at him. "Why do you find it interesting?!"
He just shrugged and that pissed me off!
I don't know why I got easily irritated these past few days, maybe because of my pregnancy. But to tell you honestly, I didn't like Alex's reaction toward my husband's jealousy.
Though I want to avoid negative behavior or reaction because my child might be affected because of my moods.
"I honestly don't understand him. I already told him I love him-"
"What?!" They both cut me off.
Shoot! I forgot to tell them about the improvements in my relationship with Maru.
"I'm sorry I forgot to tell you guys, I already confessed my feelings to Maru. He also confessed his feelings for me. He did it first actually." I said while blushing.
They still look shocked by one of my revelations.
I chuckled while looking at their shocked face. I can't blame them though. Even I was still surprised by the sudden development of my relationship with my husband.
Who would have thought that in the end, we will fell in love with each other?
First, we all know that Maru was in love and serious with Jana, she's the only girl that won his heart. If it's not for the arranged marriage I had with him, we all know for sure that Maru will marry her.
Second, I don't have a plan to fall for him. I plan to marry him for my parents' satisfaction and then focus on our family business.
"Are you serious?" Yelle said after absorbing the things I told them.
I just nodded.
After my revelation, we move on and catch up.
We did the things that we used to do before. We watch a movie, and we went to an arcade to play.
We only play one game. And that is the "insert coin machine". We'll just insert one peso coin into the machine and let the other coin drop for us to get a ticket. We just keep on playing that until we reach our goal number of tickets.
During our college days, we do this only once a month because it was a bit costly. We sometimes spend 500 pesos each on that game. We find this game so addicting.
The good thing is that we are all working now, so we have a pretty decent budget for this game.
When we are now satisfied with the tickets that we got, we went to the counter to count all our tickets and have our prize.
And just like before, we put all our tickets together to get a nicer prize.
We got 3000 plus tickets. We were browsing the prizes when I saw a toy set for babies.
The ticket needed is only 2900?! I point the toy to the staff.
"I'll get that toy miss," I told her.
Yelle and Alex looked confused about the prize I chose.
I can't hide my excitement when the staff gave me the prize I asked for. I know that we can just buy this toy but it's more fulfilling when you know that you work hard for it.
After our arcade game, we all agreed to have our dinner.
"Mara, why did you choose that toy?" Yelle can't help but ask me.
"This toy? Well, it's for my baby." I told them.
Their eyes widen. "Your pregnant?"
I chuckled. "Yes! That's the good news that I was about to tell but I can't find the right timing to tell you guys."
Yelle screams in excitement.
We tried to stop her from screaming because the people from the restaurant are looking at us.
While Alex remains quiet with my news. Then he gave me a forced smile.

Alex and Yelle send me home.
"Will you be okay? You want us to go with you and talk to your husband?" Alex offered.
I shake my head. I don't think there's a need for them to act like that.
Maru is my husband. Yes, we have a misunderstanding, but that will never scare me. He will not hurt. I trust him, I trust his love for me.
"No need to worry guys. It's just a small misunderstanding I can handle him." I said assuring them.
"Okay." They said.
I smile at them and then I went out of the car.
I waited for the car to move before I went inside the house.
All the lights in the living room are off.
Maru might be already in our room and sleeping.
When I reach our room, I open the light. I saw my husband in his pajama. I went to him. I caress his face. I touch his forehead to remove the crease.
I sighed.
He felt bad because of what I did. I decided to let him sleep and just talk to him tomorrow morning.
I went to the bathroom to take a shower. After I'm done with my shower I saw him in front of the bathroom staring at me.
He still has his serious face.
I sighed and went to our bed.
"I'm sorry," I told him.
He raised his brow.
"You are?" He said coldly.
I nodded.
"Then why did you still go out with him?"
"Them not him." I corrected him.
He turned away.
I suddenly got irritated.
"Maru stop being childish okay?!" I hissed.
He did not answer nor move.
I felt like crying. It's hard to win him over.
"Hon..." I called him.
He still did nothing.
I suddenly feel weak because of his response. But I can't let this day end without reconciling. I lay down in our bed and hug him from the back.
"I'm sorry, I disobey you. But you have to understand that Alex is my friend, my best friend. You don't need to get jealous. I love you okay." I explained.
That's my point. I love him. There's no reason for him to get jealous anymore.
He faced me. He touched my face and wipe my tears.
"Does it mean that I can also talk to Jana and hang out with her? She's also my friend." He asked.
I know how important Jana is to him.
Maybe before I might not like the idea of him talking to her. But now is completely different.
I am the one he loves now.
I slowly nodded.
I think it's only fair to trust his love for me like the trust that I am expecting from him.
"Okay." He said.
"Okay?" He went to me and hug me.
"Okay meaning you're forgiven, and I am now allowing you to be friends with Alex. BUT when I found out that he is courting or trying to win you, I will not allow him to go near you even how hard you try to convince me." He said seriously.
I smile and nodded.
He kissed my forehead, then my cheek, and my lips. "I love you wife."
I kiss him too. "I love you too husband."
