MARA'S POV
This is life!
I never thought that married life would be this great.
I always thought that my marriage life will be just like my parent's marriage. They are more of a stranger than a couple. They barely talk and bond. I had no memories of them having sweet talks or just being sweet with each other.
And if they will talk, it will always be about business. They didn't even bother to ask about me. I always envy my friend Yelle because she keeps on ranting about how protective her parents were of her.
I will always tell her to be thankful for having parents like them. I even joke with her about switching our parents. I'm sure if we did, she will learn to appreciate her parents.
I thank God fo this marriage that I have right now. He never failed in showing me how much He loves me. I wish that it will always be like this. You feel nothing but joy.
Until now, I can't seem to forget what he just said during our dinner with our parents. It made my heart flutter.
"Marrying her is one of the best things that happened in my life." I keep remembering his exact line.
"Wife you are still giggling until now." He said while back hugging me.
"Of course not!" Trying to deny what he said.
"It has shown in your face, wife." He said teasingly.
I rolled my eyes and bit my lip, trying hard to suppress the joy that I am feeling now.
"Cocky" I murmur instead.
"Wife, I'm just telling the truth. It's not cockiness." He defended himself.
I just sighed. I give up, I knew that my giggling is so obvious.
Who wouldn't right? Even if I knew that he only said that to satisfy our parents but still I can't help but giggle at what he said.
"Yeah right Mr. Cocky! I feel so touched by what you said during our dinner even if I know that you are not sincere." I teased him.
His brow raised. "Says who?"
"Huh?" I asked a bit confused.
"Who said that I'm not sincere with what I said in our family dinner?" He said seriously.
"Yeah right." I just answered and then rolled my eyes. As if I will believe him!
My husband turns to face me. He is looking at me intensely.
I suddenly felt nervous with the way he stares at me. It was too serious and intimidating.
"Everything I said even before is true, wife. I never lied to you." He said with full sicerity.
I look away. I kind of feel embarrassed and shy by the way he stares at me.
"Really?" I said almost in a whisper.
He did not answer me. He just keeps on looking at me as if he's telling me that if I can't believe his word then let his eyes do the talking.
"Did marrying me is one of the best things that happened in your life?" I asked for confirmation.
"Yes." He said. I can see the sincerity in his eyes.
I swallowed hard. "Maru..."
He smiled and then he touch my face.
"Yes, Mara. I never lied to you. Marrying you is one of the best things that happened in my life. Thank you for marrying me." He said, and then he gave me a quick but sweet kiss.
"Maru..." that's the only thing that I can utter.
I can't seem to process the things that are happening right now. It feels like a dream. A kind of dream where you wish not to be awake.
"I love you, Mara." He said with a full of love and admiration.
My eyes widened with what he just said. My heart beats crazily now. Am I hearing it right? Did he just say that he loves me?!
"Maru..." I honestly don't know what to answer.
He chuckled. "Wife, don't you have anything to say but my name?"
I can say that he was a bit uneasy and nervous.
I look at him with the same love before utteringthe words I kept to myself. "I love you too."
His eyes widen. He didn't expect my answer.
Now it's my turn to chuckle.
"Say it again Mara" he whispered while his lips is on my ears.
I can feel the tingling sensation in me because I can feel his breath on my ears.
I smirked ignoring what I am feeling now. "I didn't know that you're deaf." I teased him.
"Wife!" He said like a child throwing a tantrum.
I laugh hard.
This is the first time I saw him being impatient.
He looks so cute.
"Wife!" He pleaded.
I smile and just kiss him on the lips.
"Thanks for the kiss wife. But that's not what I want." He said while pouting his lips.
How can you be so hot and cute at the same time?!
 "I love you Mr. Andrew Maru Ottave!" I said with all my heart.
"I love you more Mrs. Mara Denise Almonte-Ottave!"
