Erin had no idea Luke was following her around, so she came to a screeching halt near a beach with a bridge and sobbed her heart out since her entire life had been a lie.
Erin stopped crying and looked around, squinting as she found Luke just a few centimeters away from her. She wasn't sure if she should be emotional or not, but she was in desperate need of sympathy right now.
As the wind grew stronger and her hair began to wave in the breeze, Erin hugged herself. She was both chilly and disoriented.
Luke sighed and reached out to hug Erin, who was upset.
Erin took a deep breath and hugged Luke back as she felt his warm embrace. Luke inhales her soothing scent, which soothes him.
"What happened..." luke asked her in a soothing voice.
"I have no idea, Luke... how did you find out I'm here?"
"I was following you..." He replied honestly and calmed Erin, softly rubbing her arm while still hugging her to make her feel better.
She let go of Luke's embrace, straightened herself, and wiped her tears away. "Do you want to come into my rest house? It's going to be a rainy day..."
Luke pointed to the dark sky, which appeared to be raining again. Her emotions were in sync with the weather she was facing at the moment. She nodded her head and decided to go with Luke without thinking.
The rain began to fall heavily just as they arrived at Luke's rest house. Erin stared at the rain as if she were inconsolably wailing over the impending issues.
"Uhm, whatever your life problems or issues are, you can talk to me and I'll be your friend to all, don't you know I'm a good listener?"
"I don't wanna talk about it right now…" she replied and shrugging her shoulder.
"That's fine; do you want something? Is it tea or juice?" Luke asked her a question and stood up to take her order. "You sound like a waiter...where is the kitchen?" Luke gave her a kind grin and guided her to the kitchen, where she bit her bottom lip and rose from her seat.
Erin couldn't explain why she had suddenly chosen Luke to spend her time today and forget the issues at the mansion; she didn't know him well, but he seemed trustworthy since Luke is the cousin of Olivia, if there's no criminal record, she's okay with it.
"I'd like to make tea for both of us, but thank you for being a good friend today...actually, I have a best friend, but I'm not sure where she is right now. And I really missed her."
"Olivia..." Luke said, mentioning her friend's name, and she noticed Luke's expression became mysterious, which she couldn't figure out.
"Do you know where she is?" she sighed and run her fingers through her hair, lower her head thinking what is happening now with her friend, she doesn't have any news about Olivia.
Luke took a breath and turned his gaze to her as if he knew something but chose to disregard her query.
"Have you finished your tea?"
Erin opened her mouth to say something, but she didn't want to push Luke, so she just ignored him and looked at her tea, which she hadn't touched.
"No...anyways, I gotta go...maybe they are looking for me right now."
"Let them look for you; you can stay here if you want; you don't have to be there and ignore everything that has happened," Luke said and persuading her.
"I don't know Luke, Nathan will be furious and will go looking for me, I'm sure of it, or they'll accuse you of kidnapping me, we never know what will happen or the consequences."
Erin explained to luke with a worried face.
"Don't worry, no one will know where you are now...I'll look after you, we're friends, right?"
"I'm not sure, Luke. But promise me you won't get in any trouble... Nathan is the most dangerous man I've ever met. He knows everything about me, and I'm afraid he'll be angry with me and..." Erin paused a moment and Luke hold her hand with a worried face.
"Everything will be alright; he won't harm you." Isn't it true that you and Nathan haven't made a commitment? So you're free to go wherever you want and live your life any way you want..." Luke persuading her to disobey Nathan once more, she knows the world is dangerous, but there's part of her that she wants to break the rules.
She decided that she needed some time to ponder and decided to stay at Luke's Rest House for the time being. Luke may have been correct; she is free to live the life she desires, and no one can dictate it for her.
"Okay, ill stay here just for one night...I will just think and have some time with myself..where can I sleep?"
"I have a vacant room upstairs, just choose whatever you like. Be my guest…"
"Thank you for being such a good friend luke, you and Olivia have similarities, always helping me through bad times."
But the truth is that Luke forced Erin to sleep in his rest house so that Nathan and Erin could have a huge fight and Erin could choose him to run away from the problem, and Luke began to believe that his plans were being fulfilled.
