Nathan turned his gaze to Luke, he was angry about why he was here now and how did he find out that they were here, he wanted to ask a lot of questions to this man but he remained calm because he knew Luke was different from those he met.
He doesn't want to see it circling Erin, so he'll stay here as long as he can. Nathan had been aware of Luke's history of mistreatment of women.
When a lady he was previously involved with was tormented to the point of death, Nathan stepped in to rescue the woman's life.
As far as he knew, the woman had moved away from Luke and was leading a quiet life. He had no idea where she was now. Once seated in his swivel chair in the corner, he asked Luke bluntly.
"Luke, what precisely are you doing here?" While waiting for Luke's word, his jaw tensioned and eventually moved slightly.
Luke gave a mocking laugh and looked at him, running his finger through his hair. "Don't you know who I am? I've known her since she was a child."
"You most likely already know the answer to your query," Luke added something with a terrible implication in his words.
When he heard the response, his eyelids squinted. If it hadn't been for Erin, he would have punched him in the face for a long time to end Luke's life because he had seen how bad a person he is.
Erin arrived with a tray of two teas for the two of them just as he was going to say anything. They were both staring at Erin, and Erin's eyes widened as she wondered why the two men were acting so strangely.
"Oh, why are you acting as if you've seen a ghost?"She asked the two as she poured a cup of hot tea off the tray, the first of which she handed to Luke, who grinned and said,
"Thank you, gorgeous." Erin smiled as Luke mentioned that, then remarked,
"Oh no worries," because she knows the weather is really cold right now and we all need a cup of tea. then she shifted her attention to Nathan, who was staring at her closely, but she was self-conscious and couldn't do anything to give him a cup of tea while she smiled softly imagining that Nathan who is like the one who is menstruation now because of the heat of its head that she really can not comprehend.
"If you'd like, Luke and I can chat about work first. You can go to sleep in the bedroom now." He said this as he sipped his tea.
Her mouth tightened while thinking, but she just nodded her head and turned her gaze to Luke who was also looking at her "Goodnight Luke," and kissed Luke in the check and she paused and took a deep breath and said, "Goodnight Nathan" then was about to kiss him on the cheek but Nathan moved away and she accidentally kissed him on the lips, her eyes widen but she remains to act normal, She gives him a stern look before entering the room. Luke was disgusted when he saw the scene earlier, and his nose wrinkled as he pretended to be surprised to hide his disgust.
Nathan crossed his arms as he turned his gaze to Luke, who was also staring at him intently. "What brought you back here to the island?" he inquired. Luke rose from his seat and walked in front of him. "because I'll go to any length to get what I want. I would have had that company from Erin's father, but you came before me; are you that mean to me? Even one woman I adore in this world you refuse to share with me?"
"I don't usually share my possessions, especially with the woman I like, so don't make me angry just because you don't know what I'm capable of…" He replied calmly. He knows Luke is a horrible guy, and he appears to know Erin will be traumatized if this guy plans something bad. Multiple times, he discovered that most of these women had been physically harmed by luke.
"Do you have any knowledge of Raylee's business? You appear to be genuinely interested. You don't want responsibility because you're having a good time, and now you're interested in a failing company?" Nathan inquired because he wanted to know if Luke was engaged in the Raylee family's drug dealings. Alternatively, it may be one of the company's major clients who are under the influence of drugs.
Luke rested his palms on the table, pondering how to get past Nathan's perplexing questions because he didn't want to talk about what had happened to them previously by Mister Albert Raylee because Erin's father had threatened him not to approach his daughter in order to continue the drug-exchanging connection.
"What now, and you're unable to respond? Is there anything you think I should know?" Nathan said.
I don't have anything to explain. Think about what you want to think since you won't get any information from me." Luke got up and drank his tea. He then continued, "I don't owe you anything.
Nathan's brow furrowed, and he stood to equal Luke's position, saying, "When I find out if you have anything to do with the Raylee's firm, I will be the one to attack you."
Luke smirked and his eyes glowed with rage and jealousy as he looked at Nathan who was observing him.
Does this sound like an attempt to intimidate me, Mister Velasco? Meanwhile, he pointed at himself and laughed bitterly while simultaneously pointing.
"Yes, and you are free to go if you have nothing to say. I'll see you around, the door is open for you." Nathan pushed up his long sleeves to show courage, and he grasped his knuckles because his vision had darkened significantly on this man.
Luke became alarmed when he noticed Nathans's gesture because he knew Nathan's behavior; it was bad to be angry and brutal. So he took a step back and said at the same time "I'm leaving, but this is what you'll put on your screws; Erin has been mine since the beginning. She has never been yours." Luke exclaimed as he removed his winter jacket from the chair and smiled in surprise.
Nathan pursed his lips as he watched Luke leave the house and violently drove the car. He immediately looked at the room where Erin was sleeping and walked over to the door, slowly opening it to reveal Erin sleeping soundly. It's a good thing the cabin he built in the room is soundproof, because she had not even heard the discussion between him and Luke before. He stared at the girl's face, and it was so beautiful to sleep like an angel resting, but he remembered what Luke had said to him earlier, and he wondered if this was the reason he was so protective of Erin. Against Erin's wishes, he will not ignore Luke's threat to him; perhaps in an instant, Luke will take Erin from him.
He needs to be cautious. He recalls being close friends with Luke at the time, but their friendship has now led to a fight with a woman. He didn't want it to end this way, but he couldn't do anything else for the woman who had already made his heartbeat. Later, his phone abruptly rang, and he immediately answered it, fearing that the unknown caller was crucial. "Sir..." said the woman. He frowned and inquired as to who the woman had addressed him as. "This is Bridgette, your secretary, sir. The board is curious as to when you plan to return to work," he stated with a sigh
"I will return to the company in a week, and Cedrick will temporarily manage the company; I am the company's CEO and I can do whatever I want and most importantly, the money works for me. Not me!" He firmly said to his secretary.
"And if Cedrick is successful in leading the company, I will promote him to the position of CEO so the board will not be looking for me. Does that sound good, Bridgette? Now tell your lover about it. I have to hang up. " he said.
"Noted Mister Velasco." Bridgette smiled heartidly.
And Nathan hung up on his secretary, but his phone immediately rang again, so he decided to step out of the room to answer it because he was tired of people bothering him. He answered the phone without looking at the person who had called. "I told you not to bother me again!" He sounds annoyed but he heard his mother's voice and he held his breath a second.
"Son! you need to go home... we need to talk," his mother said over the phone. He was perplexed as to why his mother wanted to talk to him after so many years of ignoring him. "What do you want, mom?" he asked, his voice irritated. "Why are you concealing or avoiding me, and did you bring a woman with you? return to the mansion and let's discuss it in full, it's about your father." When he learned that from his mother, wrinkles emerged on his brow, and he wondered what more awful news there could be.
"What happen to my very good father?" he asked sarcastically.
"Son...he is still your father, you need to forgive him about what happened so many years ago. He loves you, son. And now he will try to be a good father to you. Trust me."
"Now? In the ensuing years, Only now does he have the thought that he might one day become my father. Are you serious? I don't require a father figure in my life. Without a father figure in my life, I've come to this age." He said with pain in his voice.
"But you need to see him understand his condition. I forgive your father, son, and I also forgive myself for leaving you too soon... and not providing you with a happy family before, so let's forget and move on…" His mother's voice cracked while sobbing.
His Adam's apple move while listening to her mother's agony and he gulped.
"I'll meet him if he wants to. however, he did something previously that I will never forget, and see you soon, Ma." He said this and turned to go back to the room thinking this life is chaos, but when he see Erin's face peacefully sleeping… He said, "well… maybe not at all."
