Chapter 2 The Gentleman

"Do you have news about Nathan Evans Velasco? I've been updating for a few weeks now." Erin asked the private investigator she hired.
"Still Negative, ma'am," her private investigator responds on the other line.
"Call me again when you have good news. Please do your job right."
She spoke up to the man with a strong voice, and later she also apologized for her bad temper.
She immediately hung up the phone and tried not to burst into anger. She is holding back on how she feels right now. What did her parents think of making that marriage arrangement for them? She can live on her own without the help of this man. She doesn't know this man, and she has no intention of recognizing him because she only wants his signature to get the last will from her late parents.
She still can't believe what happened, and it still hurts her every day.
Her phone rang again, and she lost the will to answer it.
She went outside and watched the children playing on the road. She secretly smiled because she remembered her previous job as a teacher, but she resigned and chose to be a private tutor to manage her time.
She is passionate about teaching children because it can release enjoyment in her being. They are stress relievers. But now, she first stopped teaching and focused on finding the man named Nathan Evans. Every time she remembered its name, she felt annoyed because she spent her time finding this guy instead of mourning.
"The Mansion is for sale, Tita." She said calmly to her mother's sister with no other intention but to take the mansion from her and their wealth.
Her Aunt frowned and crossed her arms in front of her.
"I am your mother's sister, and I am also entitled to her property!"
She said confidently.
Her cousin, Abby, grinned and rolled her eyes at her. Inside of her, she wanted to tweak this little bitch, but she just held back her temper.
"However, I am the only daughter. Even if you talk to my parents' lawyer, you will get nothing from us." She insisted in front of her relatives. Then called the guard to evict the two because it was just giving her much stress.
She has experienced double the stress of a relative of her family who wants to get half of her inheritance.
Her phone rang again, and she answered it immediately. Her private investigator called and had this lead on where Nathan Evans lived.
She smiled at the good news, and her Aunt withered.
"Who called you?" Isabel asked her with a high pitch.
She turned her gaze and crossed her arms.
"Tita, we will have a deal. The mansion is yours..." She started.
Suddenly her Auntie's face brightened, and she became excited.

"In one condition, Don't bother me anymore and don't interfere with whatever I plan to do in my life. I have a life, and you too. Whatever my decisions in life ... you are no longer there." She added.
The older woman became speechless and just let her leave the mansion. She takes care of her niece Erin, and she loves her even though they are always in conflict.
Erin is now inside a famous restaurant to meet with her private investigator because she is eager to find what she has been looking for for a long time.
"The information about Nathan Evans Velasco is here, Madam. Someone told me that he is in another country now and will return here next week, and this is the address of where he works..." His investigator pointed to the documents what the name of the address was.
" And it looks like He is the new Owner of the Outstanding Auto Industry." He added.
Erin nodded and then gave the investigator enormous cash while saying, "Thank you for your service."
"Anytime, Madam. Just call me if you need anything..."
When she left the Fancy Restaurant, she went to her parent's grave. She feels that she needs sympathy now. She feels helpless and doesn't know if she's doing it right. But hopefully, yes. When she arrived at the cemetery, she could not handle her breathing, suffocating her because she repeatedly cried. Behind her brave words and sweet smile, she was still grieving the loss of her parents. She screamed and cried, and she also told her parents that she had forgiven them for this situation given by her parents.
As she was walking out of the cemetery, heavy rain suddenly fell. She ran to her car and then searched for the key, but she could not find it, and she was soaking wet from the rain. When she turned her head to the road she saw the keys 5 centimeters away from her, she was going to take them, but a man with a black umbrella took her key on the road and then gave it to her.
She couldn't see the gentleman's face very well because it was already a shady afternoon.
The man is wearing a black polo shirt and black jeans. He is also a few inches taller, and she thought maybe he was 5'11 "or 6'0" feet tall.
She was soaking wet from the rain that she immediately took the key from the man's hand and at the exact time said "Thank you" then drove faster.
People stared at her when she arrived at the hotel where she was staying because she was soaking wet in the rain like a damp chick.
She just rolled her eyes at them, and
she cringed when she heard some whispers.
"What are you looking at? Ignorant!"
She said and glared at them one by one at the women sitting at the hotel entrance. They were frightened and bowed their heads as if nothing had happened and ignored her.
Erin rapidly takes the elevator.
She couldn't stop herself from showing her natural attitude aside from being a sweet girl.
And now she's a badass woman.
