When Erin's mother heard the news that she and Nathan had a misunderstanding, she hugged her daughter. "That's okay, Erin, I understand..." her mother comforted her, "that's actually how marriage is…"
Her mother noticed that she sobbed then smiled bitterly, and her expression changed with one of sympathy for her daughter.
"I'm sorry if I bothered you, ma…, I don't understand him any longer, so I'll stay with you for a while. If it's okay with you?"
"No problem, Erin, you can stay as long as you want. You are very welcome in my home…" Her mother said and took her hand inside the house.
Erin smiled as her mother responded; she felt like she had a mother again; after Mrs. Raylee's death a few months ago, she had yearned for the love of a mother, and she was grateful that she had two mothers, both of whom loved her.
"Thank you, Ma…" She said and plaster a sweet smile.
"You're really welcome, sweetie... So I'm going to show you to your bedroom..."
Her mother said as she led her to her room. They walked up the stairs and she was taken aback by the size of her room; it's all pink and feminine for her, but that's fine.
"So do you like it?"
"Yes, it's rather lovely... Thanks!" She remarked this as she gathered all of her belongings and entered her bedroom.
Before heading to his mansion, Nathan stopped into his firm to visit Cedrick, the company's appointed CEO, whom he entirely trusted.
The employees welcomed him with, "Good afternoon sir..." He simply smiled and walked up to Cedrick's office.
He was delighted to see him when he entered the office, which was busy with paperwork. "Oh, men! You startled me! " Cedrick muttered something and rubbed his head then rose up from his seat. "Sir Nathan…" He said when he recognized that it was Nathan, The owner of the big company he's been working for a long time.
"So how's the company? Any good?" Nathan asked him.
"Yes, among the others, our company has the greatest rate. So I've been working my tail off." Cedrick replied.
When they were younger, they were friends, and Cedrick was one of the few people he could trust. That is why he came to see him today to have a casual conversation about life.
"I've come to meet you today, Cedrick... just cut the formality. We've known each other for a long time... It's only that I'm looking for someone who will do me a favor."
"Yes sure, what is it?"
When he approached Cedrick and told him what he was about to do, Cedrick just nodded and smiled. "Okay, Nathan, I'll take control of your wife. Why is Nathan Evans Velasco so head over heels in love with his wife?"
"For the simple reason that I love her... I must go; I will see you tomorrow!"
Nathan was about to depart when he observed a woman in formal attire in the parking lot, and it turned out to be Dianne.
He asked, "Dianne?"
When the woman turned to face him, he knew Dianne. Dianne was caught off guard when she saw him, and he also saw the baby boy five-month-old with her.
"Nathan..." Dianne replied, her voice calm.
"Oh, I didn't expect to see you today..."
Dianne only smiled awkwardly and comforted the screaming infant.
"He grows so fast, can I hold him?" He spoke softly.
Dianne took a deep breath and shook her head. "I'm sorry, but he's wailing; you have no idea how to calm a child because you haven't looked after him from the beginning when he was born…" Dianne muttered while calming the screaming child then she called the nanny who was walking towards them. "Take the baby and go inside the car…" The nanny immediately gently grabbed the crying baby and opened the car to calm the baby.
Nathan's eyebrow pulled close together when he heard that from Dianne.
It is true that he has many flaws when it comes to their child, but he does everything he can to fulfill the needs of the child, Like a responsible father. He can't stay in a relationship if he doesn't love the woman, because they will eventually divorce, and the person who will suffer the most will be their child.
"You know what is the reason why I'm not able to give him a complete family…"
"Because you are a cowardly father!"
"Because I don't love you Dianne and I have a wife, I'm a married man!" He said, trying not to raise his voice in front of Dianne.
"That's bullshit! You were not married when we made love at the hotel!" Dianne said with an angry tone.
"We did not make love, it was a one-night stand. Don't you think so? We don't love each other Diane, why are you making these things complicated?"
"Because we have him! We have a child!"
Nathan rubbed his chin, thinking that Dianne is not thinking such as him if she is thinking of the child's wellbeing and how they can make the child's life happier. Why does Dianne feel the need to push herself towards Nathan?
Nathan appears to believe Dianne has grown self-centered and only wants to make herself happy while he is having difficulty obtaining child custody.
He wants to spend time with his son, but Dianne forbids him from bonding with his own son. As a result, he will seek child custody.
"Yes we have a child and I have a right with our child. I gotta go, it's nice to see you, Dianne."
