Chapter 23 Pressed to the Floor and Punched
"Bang!"
A loud noise came from outside the room.
In the boys' room, Jacob Silva and Victor Torres looked at each other. They had both heard the movement.
"What's the matter?"
"Let's go and have a look."
They went out and saw that Lloyd Vasquez was standing at the entrance of the safety stairway, frowning and looking into the stairwell.
Jacob walked over doubtfully.
Without warning, a body flew suddenly out of the stairwell when he had just walked over there!
It stopped right at his feet.
"What the hell!" Jacob took a step back hurriedly.
She lifted the person from the floor, punched him in the face, and instantly made him a nosebleed.
Jacob was stunned, and Victor, who was not far away, was dumbfounded.
The cameraman, who was hanging around, ran over hastily with the camera.
As soon as the camera showed who were in the fight, the cameraman shouted, "Vernon! What's the matter? What's going on?"

Before one could say Jack Robinson, Ebony punched again and one of Vernon's eyes resembled a panda's.
"Ebony! Stop it, Ebony Gibson!" Jacob was a tough guy after all, so he went and pulled Ebony away immediately.
Vernon was in a bad shape on the floor.
He lay on the carpet and let out a few coughs. Half of his face was covered in blood.
The production team soon received the news and arrived.
The chief director felt dizzy, and he almost fainted on the spot.
"What the hell is going on?" the director yelled!
Someone asked the director, "Should we stop the live broadcast?"
The bullet screen comments were all saying "no, no".
The director-in-chief seemed to have heard the voices of the audience, and said with a stern face, "It's too late to stop the show now. We'll at least have evidence if we broadcast it." Then, he shouted loudly at Ebony, who was finally restrained by Jacob, "Are you crazy?"
Ebony sneered, put down her hands, took off her jacket, and returned to the stairwell.
After a long while, she came out with her arms around a disheveled Rita Obrien, who was crying and out of breath.
A jacket could not cover much. They could still see Rita's torn trousers right away, as well as her clothes which were hanging around her waist like rags.
Everyone fell silent.
The viewers of the live broadcast also fell silent.
Rita saw the camera and threw herself into Ebony's arms, crying and trembling all over.
Ebony glared at the cameraman, who quickly moved the camera away.
Ebony took Rita back to their room.
Everyone seemed to unfreeze only when they heard the door of the girls' room closing.
The director-in-chief glanced at Vernon Hale on the floor, and was silent for a long time, as if he was still digesting this matter.
Teri Holland was the last to find out what had happened.

Teri said with a sullen face, "You're too reckless."

Ebony glanced at Rita, "How long are you going to cry?"
Rita looked sadly at her.
Ebony frowned, "Keep on crying and I'll make you mute with poison."

Ebony tilted her head and rubbed her forehead, then glared at Rita, "I don't understand, what do you like about him?"
Rita said pitifully, "He's handsome..."
