Chapter 233 Hurry! Hug me!
Of course, there was no sound in the empty living room.
Ebony felt a bit disappointed.
She looked around, realizing the house was so shabby that there was not even a stool.
Therefore, Ebony crouched down, patted the dust on the ground, and found a relative clean place to sit.
She sat on the ground with arms on her knees and began to talk to her ancestors.
First, she said, "Actually, aunt Kelly treated me fairly well, but I just felt uncomfortable."
And then she said, "I am not sure if what Moses told me yesterday was true, but I think I should do some research. I feel like if I found out that it was true... Great-grandpa and Great-great-grandpa, You think I am still the child of the Pine family? Anyways, I came to see you with offerings, and if you say I am not, you need to spit them out for me."
Ebony mumbled to herself for a long time.
Everything was quiet, and there was no response.
Ebony threw a potato chip into her mouth, and crunched it loudly. Then she sat back on the ground and continued, "By all means, I am the child of the Pine family. Whether you think so or not, I am sticking with you, and you can't get rid of me!"
At this point, Ebony grunted again, "And that Lloyd, he is also an unstable factor. I need to find a chance to move out of his home! Great-grandpa and Great-great-grandpa, I'm telling you that Lloyd is really bad. He often bullies me. If you have time, please show up in his dream and scare the shit out of him."
Ebony stayed in the living room for a little more than half an hour.
She said all she could say, and finished pretty much all the snacks.
Thinking that she could not break her vows to her ancestors, she got up and planned to ask the man who drove the tractor to take her to town and buy some joss sticks and candles.
Outside the old house was a wasteland. As Ebony just stepped out of the threshold, she suddenly saw a suspicious male figure outside the wall on the right.
She turned her head to the right.
The next second, her feet started to run before her brain could even give the order.
"Ah!"
But the back of her collar was suddenly tugged before she could go any further.
Behind her, Lloyd's cold voice slowly sounded, "Where are you going?"
Ebony was so scared that she sweated. She hurriedly reached out to slap Lloyd's hand. She was like a jumping grasshopper, struggling. She said, "Let go off me! Let go off me!"
The man frowned, and let go of her unpleasantly.
Ebony lowered her head and wanted to run again.
Behind her, the man's voice sounded again, "Run agian and see what I will do!"
His voice was very serious, showing that this time he wasn't joking, but was really angry.
Ebony stopped immediately. She timidly turned around, looking at Lloyd. She asked, "What... What are you doing here?"
Lloyd slowly walked towards her. The man's look was cold, but when he approached her, his move became gentle. He reached out to fix her collar that was messed up just now.
He said in a low voice, "You tell me!"
Ebony thought of a possibility, and then she touched her backpack on her shoulders and asked timidly, "Do you have a GPS on your computer?"
Ebony was so helpless. She explained, "I just borrowed it and will return it to you. I am not a thief. You didn't call the police, did you?"
Lloyd's eyes were dark and expression was cold. He said, "It's surprising that you are scared."
Ebony quickly went over and patted Lloyd on the chest to make him feel less angry. She said, "Don't be angry. Haha, now that you came, it's fate. Would you like to meet my great-grandfather and great-great-grandfather? Come on, I will introduce them to you!"
With that, Ebony grabbed Lloyd's arm and pulled him into the old house. She said to the air, "My great-grandfather and great-great-grandfather, this is Lloyd Vasquez, whom I just talked about. He is really a good man!"
With that, Ebony continued buttering Lloyd up, "I told them a lot of good things about you and praised you as best as I could. I said that you were handsome, well-rounded, kind hearted and broad minded!"
Lloyd looked at her coldly, and snorted.
Ebony wasn't sure if Lloyd was fond of her compliments, but she continued to praise him, "Come on, let me show you some other rooms. Here, this room! It's my grandpa's room. Look at the wall, my grandpa copied Herbal Lection when he was a child. Let me read it for you."
Ebony showed her hospitality to Lloyd.
She pulled Lloyd, talking on and on, "See this line. It's about quartz album. Quartz album has a sweet taste, and it's mainly used for quenching thirst and curing erectile dysfunction."
Both Lloyd and Ebony were speechless in embarrassment.
The atmosphere became quiet.
Ebony immediately waved her hand and changed topics, "Hahaha. Let's see the next line. It's about morinda. Morinda has a spicy taste, and it's mainly used for preventing catching cold and curing erectile dysfunction."
Again, both of them became speechless in embarrassment.
Ebony was about to cry. She said, aggrieved, "I didn't mean that"
Lloyd reached out and suddenly pinched Ebony's chin. He looked down at her, asking, "What are you trying to imply?"
Ebony backed off a little, waving her hands and saying, "Nothing! Nothing!"
Then she continued, "Let's not read this. Let's see what it is written over there... Gee..."
Lloyd looked at her coldly and said, "What's going on again?"
Ebony told Lloyd to look at the wall, and she said, "Look at the font on this side. Why is it different from the font on that side just now? It's neater here."
Lloyd frowned, looking at the characters which she pointed at.
After observing them for a while, he said, "This is your grandfather's script."
Ebony paused.
Lloyd took out his phone, found a photo, and showed it to Ebony.
Ebony took a look, and to her surprise, she found out it is a photo from his restoration of the Pine family's old house.
In the photo, the calligraphy hanging on the wall was written by her grandfather. The font on the calligraphy was exactly the same fond as what was later written on the wall.
Ebony was a bit surprised. She asked, "So Grandpa wrote it when he was an adult. Did he ever come back later?"
Ebony muttered, stepping forward to touch the few lines of characters which were written later.
She read the lines word by word, and after reading the lines for a while, she said, puzzled, "Stalactite, mainly used for treating cough..."
"Peppermint, mainly used for treating cough..."
"Acorus calamus, mainly used for treating cough..."
These three types of herbs were all herbs of upper lection, which were all for treating cough...
Ebony suddenly looked up at the roof, then held out her hand to Lloyd and said, "Hug me!"
Lloyd looked at her, puzzled.
Ebony stamped her foot and urged, "Hurry up, hurry up. Hug me! Hug me!"
