Chapter 10 They Hugged Each Other
The distance between Lloyd and Ebony suddenly shortened. Ebony instantly felt that the hair on her back stood on end.
She didn't like the feeling.
"I said were you deaf?" Ebony suddenly shouted at Lloyd's ear.
Lloyd frowned, straightened himself, and touched his earlobe with the other hand. He then looked at her and said, "They said boys took care of girls."
"I don't need you to take care of me," Ebony said, "You go over there. The smell of your body is next to me."

Lloyd sighed and looked helpless. He then stepped backward.
Victor finally managed to come to Ebony at that time. When he saw her, he was about to talk to her. But he immediately closed his mouth when he saw Lloyd standing in front of Ebony.
But when he saw the distance between Lloyd and Ebony, he thought they seemed to be hugging each other.
He was thinking, 'She's a wanton.'
His face was dark. Noticing that the cameraman was not there, he immediately shouted to Ebony, "Come out."
Ebony looked at Victor. She was stunned for a moment, and then stretched out her hand to point to the tip of her nose incredulously, "Me?"
Victor frowned, "Yes. Come here!"
Lloyd suddenly turned around, squinted his black eyes, and looked at Victor coldly.
Victor was still shouting to Ebony forcefully, "Come here!"
Ebony looked up at Lloyd, "Do you think I'm dreaming or he's dreaming?"
"What do you mean?" Victor didn't understand.
Ebony said with a sad face, "Oh no. He's really got something wrong with his brain. He thought I would listen to him. I'll go there as he asked me to do it? It hurt me to think that I'll have to continue working with him to complete the task. Lloyd, do you think it feasible to inform the show to change a guest since he is badly ill?"
"Ebony Gibson!"
Lloyd suddenly curled up his lips, "Have a try."
Victor got astonished and looked at him in disbelief.
Ebony was also stunned. She didn't mean it and didn't expect Lloyd to help her.
Ebony glanced at Victor, "Do you know a good dog never gets in the way? Don't appear in front of me. I'm annoyed to see you."
"Alright, Ebony! Wait and see!"
Victor played tough to Ebony and moved to the other side angrily.
Looking at his embarrassing back, Ebony turned her eyes and looked at Lloyd standing in front of her.
Why did Lloyd help her?
After a while, there were fewer people in the carriage.
Finally, they got off the subway.
After leaving the metro station, Rita shivered from the cold. Looking at the desolate street, she cautiously asked, "Is there really a hotel here?"
Ebony walked in front, pulling her luggage case without turning around.
After walking for about ten minutes, they stopped at the entrance of a very simple B&B(Bed and Breakfast).
Looking at the shaky plaque of the B&B, Rita was so frightened that her voice trembled, "We'll really live here?"
"Squeak." The door opened and a white old lady named Janet with white hair came out. She looked thin and asked in pure Freolorian with a smile, "Is it Miss Gibson?"
"Yes, it's me." Ebony stood out and talked to her.
After a while, a man came out of the B&B and helped them with their luggage.
It looked shabby outside of the B&B but it was tidy inside of it. The owner of it had prepared dinner for them. It made Rita's stomach growl when she saw the table was full of European-style dinner.
After putting down their luggage, they sat down around the dining table.
This B&B was run by Janet and her son, and she only spoke to Ebony.
After Janet left, Teri asked cautiously, "Ebony, dinner is free of charge, right?"
Ebony picked up the knife and fork. She said in a low voice, "Enjoy it. Three meals for a day are included in the accommodation fee."
"How much is the accommodation fee?"
"Free."
"Free again?" Rita felt amazed while cutting the steak, "How did you do it? Why is it all free wherever you go? We gave you 25 euros this morning but you only spent 4 euros till now."
Ebony glanced at her.
Rita said, "We only spent 4 euros a day. There are six people altogether. And the dinner we had last night cost us 25 euros..." She immediately stopped here and looked at Victor quietly.
Victor looked bad but he knew only Rita was kind to him.
He could only force a smile, "It's okay. It's my fault. The dinner we had last night was too expensive. But Miss steward, why is this hotel free? The show said that we can't take advantage of our identity to have something free. If they find out you do it, you will not only pay double but also they'll deduct the travel expenses for the next period."
Everyone immediately looked at Ebony nervously.
Only Lloyd was still cutting the steak and eating the food on the plate slowly as if he was not worried about what Ebony had done.
Ebony put a piece of steak in her mouth. After chewing it, she looked at them with no expression on her face, "Someone died here."
All of them were stunned.
Everything was silent for an instant.
"Bang!" All of a sudden, the room went dark as if to cater to the atmosphere.
"Ahhhh--" Rita screamed in shock.
"Be quiet!" Ebony felt noisy.
After a while, the light in the house was turned on. Janet's son came to apologize to them. He said it tripped.
Ebony said it was okay. She then continued after the son left, "Five people died here in the past ten years. They came here to suicide because it was remote. Gradually, the business becomes poor and the equipment here is getting old, so there will occasionally be power outages or no water. As a result, this B&B is rated one star on many traveling applications and the comments are also bad."
Rita almost cried, "But why do you still take us here?"
"It's free, okay?" there contained a bit of perverseness in Ebony's lazy voice, "This B&B is not expensive. 5 euros for a night. I called the boss and wanted to ask if she could offer a discount. But Janet said that it would be closed down in a few days. If we don't mind it, we can live here freely."
"Close down..." Rita was sad when hearing it.
But she then condemned Ebony.
"Why do you bargain since we only need to spend 5 euros a night and food is included? Why don't you pay her? Janet serves us but you don't want to pay 5 euros to her. How cruel you are!"
After putting down the knife and the fork, Ebony said lightly, "5 euros for one room. 10 euros for two. We'll live here for two days. It means we'll pay 20 euros. But we only have 21 euros. If I pay her, what can we do with only 1 euro? Taking a car or taking a metro? Or do you want to walk to the scenic spot?"
"..." Rita got nothing to say.
At that moment, Lloyd picked up the glass, turned to look at Ebony, and pinched the glass with his slender and clean fingers, "Tell the boss it will not be closed."
Ebony looked at him.
She nodded, turned back her eyes, and continued to eat.
Jacob and Teri looked at each other and smiled.
Only Rita was puzzled, "What do you mean? Why won't it be closed?"
Teri tapped her head, "Silly girl."
It was a live show. They were advertising for the B&B since they were living here now.
It went without saying how much influence Lloyd would bring to the hotel.
They would live here for two days and could experience how they felt when living here. If the audience saw the B&B was not that bad on the show, they might choose it when they came to Broysea the next time. There would be more tourist sources and it wouldn't be closed.
Teri looked at Ebony.
Ebony had certainly thought of it so she accepted the free accommodation without anxiety. They not only didn't take advantage of it but also offered the boss a free advertisement.
After dinner, everyone went back to their rooms.
In the evening, Rita suddenly said, "There's a projector here. Let's watch a horror film. I've always wanted to watch a horror film, but I'm afraid to watch it alone."
Ebony was packing her stuff and her hands suddenly stopped.
Teri smiled and said, "Good idea. Watching a movie together is also helpful to improve our relationship. How about you, Ebony?"
Ebony moved her throat and choked for a moment. She then looked away and said, "Whatever."
"Ok. I'll ask them to watch it with us!"
Rita rushed to call the boys next door.
After everyone came into the room, Rita chose a Cloabia horror movie. And then she turned off the lights in the room.
Ebony was frightened.
"It's on."
Everyone was sitting on the broad, big sofa. The three girls sat on the big sofa. Victor and Jacob sat on the small sofa while Lloyd sat on the only armchair in the room.
The movie started. In the beginning, it was a terrifying sound.
Ebony was sitting on the left side of the sofa, and next to her was Lloyd who was sitting on the armchair.
Ebony held the cushion. She could watch it in the beginning but after a while, a female ghost with blood on her face appeared on the screen. She couldn't hold it anymore and bent her back. Her whole face was buried in the cushion and her fingers grabbed the armrest of the sofa tightly.
Lloyd turned to look at her and raised his eyebrows when seeing the back of her hands were filled with blue veins.
Rita, who was sitting in the middle, was also very scared and held Teri tightly beside her.
Teri comforted her and asked Ebony, "Ebony, are you okay?
Ebony immediately put down the cushion and said peacefully, "Yes. The plot is a bit boring. I feel sleepy."

After pretending not to be scared, Ebony dared not to watch the screen anymore.
But even if she didn't watch it, the horror sound was around there.
While she was trying to control herself and thinking about whether to cover her face with the cushion again, Lloyd next to her suddenly stood up.
The slightest movement could easily make Ebony out of control now. She looked at him beside her in horror.
Lloyd lowered his eyes to look at her as if explaining, "Bathroom."
Yes, the bathroom!
Ebony immediately followed him and stood up.
The others looked at them in puzzlement.
"I'm going to the bathroom, too," Ebony said.
Seeing her awkward back, Lloyd followed her and walked over there.
