Chapter 320 Sort of Right, But Sort of Wrong

Ebony was speechless, and she wanted to hit Lloyd.

She asked in disbelief, "Are you going to Yara too?"

Yara was the place where Strange Bird was going to film.

There was a new film and television base built in Yara, which would have a lower rent than those of the old film and television bases in Sluvale and Florons.

Lloyd did not answer, and the airport announcement announced that the passengers for Yara should get on board.

Lloyd went ahead to board the plane.

Ebony gritted her teeth and followed him with Janet.

Once on the plane, Ebony and Lloyd were in first class and Janet was in business class.

Ebony sat down and bumped Lloyd's arm next to her, asking, "What the heck are you doing?"

Ebony looked at him with a frown, incredulous.

From Sluvale to Yara was a three-hour flight.

Three hours later, Ebony and Lloyd got off the plane together, and as they exited the VIP access, Ebony saw the staff from the film crew coming to meet her.

Janet went to talk to the staff. When Ebony looked back, Lloyd was gone.

So he just happened to come to the same city as she did, huh?

It turned out that was not the case.

An hour later, Ebony was in a hotel set up by the crew and saw Lloyd talking to director James!

Director Mcmullen had a cigarette in his mouth, smoke all over his body. He was very thin, and was over 40 years old. He wore long hair that had a bun held back, which appeared to be a decadent artist.

When he saw Ebony coming, he took the cigarette out of his mouth, shook the ash, and waved to her. He said, "You are Ebony? Over here."

Ebony took a look at Lloyd and walked toward them. She bowed to director Mcmullen and said, "Hello! Director Mcmullen."

Director Mcmullen took another drag on his cigarette and said, "I heard from Mr. Vasquez that you were on the same flight. You two had made an appointment to come together?"

Ebony frowned and looked up at Lloyd.

Director Mcmullen laughed and said, "Your Lloyd & Ebony has been all the rage these days. Mr. Vasquez, I can't believe you would secretly join a dating show.

Lloyd didn't answer. "Please put out your cigarette," he grumbled.

DDirector Mcmullen paused.

But he eventually put the cigarette out and said, "You weren't so picky before."

Director Mcmullen added, "Since you two are acquaintances, I will be frank. You may have seen the script. Ebony, this time, you're going to play two roles and they are respectively the female supporting role Flora and Flora's mother Spring Fairy."

"Mr. Vasquez is going to play Loughlin, who is and a mortal and Flora's father. He was in a relationship with Spring Fairy."

Ebony had read a part of the pilot screenplay, and she had watched the movie in her previous life. She knew her role, so she immediately said, "I know. I know. It's me and my father who gave birth to me. Am I right?"

Director Mcmullen and Lloyd didn't know what to say.

Director Mcmullen touched his chin, pondered and said, "Your understanding is sort of right, but sort of wrong."

Lloyd said in a low voice, "Flora and the Spring Fairy are two individuals".

Ebony glanced at Lloyd and snorted, "I know. Don't you say! I know you got a mouth, but why didn't you say anything on the plane?"

Lloyd didn't know how to respond.

Staring at the two of them, director Mcmullen asked, "What's wrong? You two have conflicts?"

Ebony shook her head and replied obediently, "No. No. I' just kidding with Mr. Vasquez."

Director Mcmullen looked at Lloyd, then at Ebony, and said, "Well, Mr. Vasquez only got three days' time, so his plays have to be finished in three days. Ebony, please familiarize the lines well, and we'll start shooting tomorrow.

Ebony nodded and promised, "Director Mcmullen, don't worry. I'll perform as good as I can and try my best to pass the plays all on the first try. I'll save Mr. Vasquez's time and get him out of here as soon as I can."

Director Mcmullen and Lloyd were both speechless.

They indeed had conflicts.

That evening, while Ebony was in her room memorizing her lines, there was a knock on the door outside.

She went to the door in her slippers and saw Lloyd, calmly standing outside with a script in his hand.

Ebony opened a crack in the door and asked, "What's up?"

The man looked at her in silence, held up the script in his hand, and said, "Practice lines."

Ebony snorted, "Not available!"

She was going to shut the door as she spoke.

But the man stopped the door, sighed, and said, "I apologize. Is that okay?"

Ebony pouted. She looked around and asked, "Nobody saw you coming, right?"

Lloyd said, "No."

Ebony opened the door and let him in anyways.

Lloyd came in, sat down on the couch, and opened the script. It appeared that he was really just practicing the lines.

Ebony, in her nightgown, looked at him for a moment, then finally grabbed her script on the bed. She sat down opposite Lloyd and practiced with him.

Because the filming was suddenly advanced, many other actors and actresses had not yet joined the film crew, including the male and female leads.

So the first shooting of the film tomorrow would not start with the male lead and female lead, but would start with the first meeting of Spring Fairy and human Loughlin, whom respectively acted by Ebony and Lloyd.

The storyline of Spring Fairy and Flora was actually very simple.

Spring was a thousand-year-old eagle demon. After becoming a fairy through cultivation, she called herself Spring Fairy. After a great war between the human nations, she traveled to the mortal world to eat bad luck and met Loughlin, who was a human general.

Loughlin thought that Spring Fairy was a refugee girl. After saving her, Spring Fairy claimed to be homeless and hoped Loughlin could take her in.

Loughlin took Spring Fairy in out of kindness. She followed Loughlin home, but found Loughlin had a wife and a daughter.

Spring Fairy didn't love Loughlin, and as a demon, she was evil by nature.

Spring Fairy didn't like Loughlin's wife and daughter, so she ate them. Then she turned into Loughlin's wife and lived with him.

When Loughlin learned the truth, he was devastated and he wanted to kill the Spring Fairy with his sword, but Spring Fairy told him that she was already carrying his child.

Spring Fairy called herself a fairy, but in fact, she was a vicious and treacherous demon.

After Spring Fairy left Loughlin, he became muddleheaded and lunatic due to the tragedy of his family.

Twenty years later, Spring Fairy died, leaving behind her only daughter, Flora.

Flora was different from Spring Fairy. She was simple and kind-hearted. After going down from the mountains, she hid her identity and stayed with the male lead and female lead. However, man and demons were different by nature. One time when the female lead got injured, the male lead found out Flora's true identity, and he mistakenly thought that Flora had harmed the female lead and was going to kill Flora to uphold justice.

Flora turned back in her true colors and ran.

Finally, her father Loughlin, who had become a demon hunter at that time, cut off her head and incinerated her in ashes.

The lines Ebony and Lloyd practiced were the play that Spring Fairy and Loughlin met in the beginning.

Lloyd stayed in Ebony's room for more than an hour. They were done with practicing the lines and rehearsal, but Lloyd still had no intention to leave.

Ebony got impatient and pulled Lloyd up. She pushed him outside, warning, "Don't make me hit you!"

As she was speaking, she opened the door, wanting to kick Lloyd out.

But as soon as the door was opened, Ebony saw director Mcmullen was outside the door, with a cigarette in his mouth and a script in hand, and he was about to knock on the door.

Director Mcmullen looked blankly at Ebony and Lloyd.

Ebony looked blankly at Director Mcmullen.

For a time, inside and outside, three people looked at each other.

Director Mcmullen's mouth opened. He took the cigarette out of his mouth and asked in confusion, "Are you..."

After Lloyd straightened his collar, he calmly pulled away Ebony's hand tugging at his coat. He said, "Don't get us wrong. We're just a regular couple, not friends."
