Chapter 37 Hold on, You Said The Girl's a Gibson Too?
Only then did Moses Smith notice that there were other people in the room.
When Moses saw that the person in the room was Lloyd Vasquez, his pupils shrank, and when he saw Lionel Santiago on the sofa at the back, his expression changed drastically.
Lionel stood up abruptly, pointed at Moses and said, "You..."
Without thinking, Moses bowed and apologized, "Sorry for disturbing. My friend went the wrong way. We'll leave now."
"Stop there!" Lionel got up, strode over, and grabbed Moses's shoulder.
Moses immediately tried to wrestle out of it.
Ebony, who had been in a daze, became alert now. She looked at the two in astonishment. Suddenly, someone grabbed her wrist.
She looked down and saw that it was Lloyd. Lloyd took her into the room and closed the door.
All sounds were isolated outside the door.
Ebony looked at the closed door and asked in astonishment, "What's going on?"
Ebony said, "You mean Moses Smith? He's our male lead.
"Moses Smith?" Lloyd squinted. He let go of Ebony and said, "Go and change your clothes first."
Ebony looked at the door, "So..."
"It's okay. They're related."
Related?
Ebony was relieved. Judging from the situation just now, it seemed that they really knew each other.
Ebony quickly went and changed her clothes. When she came out, she saw that the door was open and Moses was no longer there. The man who had previously held Moses was sitting on the sofa, panting and shouted angrily, "He's been running away from home for over a month. I thought he had died somewhere outside. It turns out that he has secretly come here to film, and he begged me not to tell his parents. His parents will break his bones when they find out!"
Listening to the man's scolding, Ebony had just realized that he was Lionel Santiago.
Ebony knew Lionel, but it was in her previous life.
Lloyd saw Ebony coming out. He turned to her and said, "You go back first."
Ebony nodded and was about to leave.
Lionel stopped her, "You're filming with that brat?"
Ebony was stunned. She looked at Director Santiago and nodded gently, "Yes."
Lionel sneered, "He has poor acting skills, hasn't he?"
Ebony felt awkward. She thought for a while and said humbly, "My acting skills are mediocre either."
Lionel snorted, "If this brat had good acting skills, his parents would not have stopped him. He knows nothing and just dreams about being a star. He only has a decent face and nothing else, and he thinks he can succeed in the entertainment industry with just his face. Does he think he were Lloyd?"
Ebony could not help but looked at Lloyd on the sofa next to her.
Lloyd said helplessly, "What does this have to do with me?"
"It has everything to do with you," Lionel shouted angrily. "You didn't even help me to stop him just now. Don't forget, after you marry his aunt, he's your nephew as well!"
There was suddenly a moment of silence in the room.
Ebony looked at Lloyd on the sofa in astonishment. Did Lloyd get married in his previous life? It did not seem so. Up until her death, she seemed to have never heard of Lloyd, who had won the best actor award for nine times, getting married.
"Get out if you can't control your temper," Lloyd said suddenly, with voice as cold as ice.
Lionel came to himself and said sheepishly, "I didn't mean it."
Lloyd's cold black eyes suddenly swept towards Ebony, "Aren't you leaving yet?"
Ebony was taken aback, not knowing what did it have to do with her. She pulled a long face, said nothing, and walked swiftly to the door.
On her way out, Ebony heard Lionel say, "I didn't say anything wrong. Your wedding day has been decided for a long time, hasn't it?"
Ebony closed the door, turned and walked towards her crew.
"Miss Gibson!" Ebony took her bag and was on her way out of the studio zone when she heard someone calling her at the back.
She turned around and saw Moses Smith.
Moses, who was in a gray coat, jogged to catch up with her, "Let's go together, Miss Gibson."
Ebony had both her hands in the pockets of her coat and her shoulders raised. She said nothing and continued walking.
After several steps, Moses asked suddenly, "Miss Gibson, are you close with Lloyd?"
Ebony glanced at her, "Lloyd? Shouldn't you call him Uncle?"
Moses's expression changed, "You know?"
Ebony smiled, "I couldn't tell you're so well connected. You're related to Lionel Santiago and Lloyd Vasquez is your uncle. Half of the film industry belongs to your family, Mr. Smith. I may need your help in the future."
"Don't make fun of me, Miss Gibson," Moses said in a dull voice. "Whatever they do has nothing to do with me. I'll walk my own path!"
Ebony glanced at him and shrugged noncommittally.
Moses was unhappy to see her expression, "You also think I can't do it?"
Ebony shook her head, "Whatever you do has nothing to do with me."
Moses pursed his lips and said, "You haven't answered me, Miss Gibson. Are you close with Lloyd?"
"Not really," Ebony said casually.
"Not really?" Moses looked suspicious, "He lent you his changing room. It must be more than that."
Ebony stopped walking and looked at Moses.
Moses was stunned and he stopped too.
"What are you getting at?" Ebony asked smilingly, "Are you checking up on me for your aunt?"
"Miss Gibson, I'm not..."
"Don't worry," Ebony interrupted and said, "My relationship with Lloyd is not what you think. Although we know each other, it's just because we're in a variety show together that we get familiar. He's just being kind to lend me his changing room. There's nothing else between us. You don't have to worry, and neither does your aunt."
Moses was sheepish, "I really didn't mean it..."
Ebony smiled indifferently and continued walking.
Moses caught up with her again, "Actually, my aunt..."
"I'm not interested in your aunt either," Ebony interrupted.
Moses was dumfounded for a moment, and then he said, "You may not know that Lloyd is a Casanova."
Ebony was taken aback.
"It's true. Not only is he a Casanova, he's also in several relationships at the same time," Moses said angrily, "and there have been many times when he was in intimate relationships with other women. If you really don't fancy him, Miss Gibson, I suggest you not to go to his changing room. It's not nice if people see it. If you don't feel like queuing up to change next time, I can stand in the queue for you. But I really hope you can keep your distance with him."
Ebony was at the exit of the studio zone now, and she said with a sigh, "If you and your family are really bothered, okay, I'll avoid it."
Moses explained, "I really have nothing against you, Miss Gibson, but he and my aunt will definitely get married. Although my aunt is abroad now, their marriage has already been decided since my great-grandfather's time. They'll get married once my aunt is back..."
"Moses, I'm really not interested in your family's matter," said Ebony. She waved and said, "I've got to go. I'm not going back to the hotel. I'm going out. See you later." And she ran across the street.
Moses stood at the other side of the street, watching Ebony reading the signpost at the bus stop. He thought for a while, gritted his teeth, and made a phone call.
His call was soon picked up and a male voice said lazily, "Aren't you running away from home? It's only been over a month, and you can't make it through?"
"Bro, something happened," Moses went straight to the point, and he said, "I bumped into Uncle Lionel today, and I saw Lloyd. He's very nice to a girl."
The voice on the other end of the phone stopped, "What do you mean by very nice?"
"He lent his changing room to her."
"Isn't he always disgusted by girls approaching him?" The voice on the other end turned cold at once, "Damn, I knew he would cheat on our aunt sooner or later!"
Moses sighed, "You can't actually blame him. Miss Gibson really looks...very very beautiful..."
"Moses Gibson, who are you siding with! Hold on, you said the girl's a Gibson too?"
