Chapter 92 Did They Seem to Have Been Caught in Some Strange Trap

Chapter 92 Did They Seem to Have Been Caught in Some Strange Trap?
Seven thousand dollars for a clue! It's too expensive!
Jeremy stared at the blue ribbon in Ebony's hand and fell into hesitation.
Warren said to him, "We've come here without any clue, so there is no need to spend money on that clue."
Considering that what Warren said was reasonable, Jeremy was about to refuse to buy the ribbon.
Lloyd, who had been silent all the time, suddenly said, "He is just comforting you. As a soldier, he is very clear that without clues, it will be hard to get out of here."
At the sound of his voice, everyone present, including Ebony, looked at him instantly.
Jeremy was stunned for a moment, and then looked at Warren.
Seeing Warren avoid looking at him, Jeremy hurriedly asked Lloyd, "What do you mean?"
Lloyd said faintly, "A necessary condition for getting out of the rain forest is a map, and a necessary condition for obtaining a map is clues. If there is no clue, you will fail to leave here. So, in this case, seven thousand dollars for a clue is indeed not that expensive."
Not expensive?
Ebony echoed, "That's right. Clues are essential to complete the task. Seven thousand dollars for a clue is really not expensive. Of course, you can find clues by yourselves. But can you find it? If you really find it, can you take it down? So if you want to leave here with ease, you're supposed to spend what you have to spend?"
Jeremy understood this truth.
But he was still disappointed, "But it's too expensive!"
Ebony said slowly, "But it is worth the price. The earlier you get the clues, the earlier you can get the map. The first three teams who get out of the rain forest will get a prize."
"Prize!" Jeremy widened his eyes in surprise. "Why did I forget this?"
Ebony said with a smile, "You can pay me with your prize. The prize is much more than what you need to spend in the rain forest. So the clue is not expensive at all."
Jeremy was a little persuaded.
Warren hesitated at this moment, and said, "Deal! I'll pay you with some of my prize."
"No. We'll split the bill." Jeremy said to Warren. Then he turned to Ebony, "We buy it!"
Ebony immediately handed them the blue ribbon.
Looking at the words "snake cave", Jeremy and Warren were lost in deep thought.
If the map was in the snake cave, could they get it out?
Ebony was happy to earn another seven thousand dollars from them.
She turned her head to Lloyd and gave him the thumbs up excitedly.
Lloyd looked at her and smiled, "It's almost evening. Let's find a place to camp."
It's very dangerous in the rain forest at night, so the four of them always went to bed early at night.
Ebony found a good place to camp. When Ebony just finished lighting a bonfire, she saw Warren and Jeremy coming to her cautiously.
Ebony held a blade of grass in her mouth and raised her head to drive them away, "What are you doing here? This is our area. We came here first, so you can't camp here. Go away."
Jeremy scratched his face and said, "We are friends, OK? Can we be together?"
Ebony said without hesitation, "No."
Warren suggested, "You'll be safer with us."
Ebony said, "We are safe enough now!"
Jeremy had no choice but to play his trump card, sighing, "What if we pay you?"
Ebony raised her eyebrows, chewed the grass in her mouth, and estimated, "Seven hundred dollars for one person. If you're willing to pay, you are allowed to enter our camp. But we don't offer you anything else except a place to camp."
Jeremy reluctantly agreed, "...Okay."
Ebony immediately got up and shouted hospitably, "Mr. Lerman and Mr. Robinson, Welcome!"
Jeremy and Warren, "..."

Jeremy and Warren had just a little luggage. They took out their sleeping bags and unrolled them.
At this moment, it suddenly started to rain.
It rained every day in the rain forest, but it always stopped raining after a while.
When Jeremy and Warren were about to roll their sleeping bags and go to find some shelters, they saw that a rain-proof canopy suddenly stretched above their heads.
Kelly and Tristan skillfully stretched a huge tent cloth and tied it to the four trees at the four corners.
The big cloth formed a protection, so neither the bonfire below nor the people would be attacked by the rain.
Jeremy was surprised.
They even had a rain-proof canopy!
Ebony sat by the bonfire and said while roasting mushrooms, "Seven hundred dollars for one person to camp here! Is it worth it?"
Jeremy kept nodding, "Yes, it's really worth it."
Ebony baked a large pan of mushrooms, skewered the mushrooms and fried worms, and then made some mushroom soup. The four of them began to have a meal.
Jeremy and Warren were so hungry that their stomachs were growling, and they were so greedy they gulped.
After a while, Jeremy couldn't bear the hunger any longer and asked, "How much are the skewers?"
Ebony chewed the worms and said, "Seven dollars for one."
Jeremy gritted his teeth, "I want twenty skewers."
Ebony asked Tristan to send twenty skewers to them.
Jeremy and Warren started to eat immediately getting the mushrooms and worms.
They thought it's so delicious. They were so moved by the taste that they almost shed tears.
After eating up the mushrooms and worms, they almost licked the skewers made of branches.
Jeremy felt thirsty after eating up the roast food, so he asked Ebony, "How much is the mushroom soup?"
Ebony said, "Four dollars for a bowl."
"I want two bowls."
Ebony gave them two bowls of soup.
It's time for fruit after the staple.
Ebony took out the fruit inside another bag.
It's that sweet and pear-like fruit.
Ebony got one and munched on it.
Jeremy couldn't resist the lure and asked again, "How much is the fruit?"
Ebony said, "Fifteen dollars for one."
Jeremy stared at her in disbelief, asking, "Why is it so expensive?"
Ebony swallowed the fruit in her mouth and then said, "This is the stock. We picked some in the forest before. It's rare and we have no more."
Jeremy had no choice but to say, "I want two." He originally wanted four.
It wasn't until about nine o'clock at night that everyone finished eating and cleaning up.
It was still raining outside.
Although there's a rain-proof shed, the cold wind with the rain could still blow in.
At twelve o'clock in the evening, Ebony, Lloyd and Kelly had already entered the tents and fell asleep, and Tristan kept watch at night.
This was the coldest time of the day in the rain forest.
Jeremy and Warren huddled in their sleeping bags. Even if they were very close to the bonfire, they were shivering with cold.
While it looked very warm and safe in Ebony's two huge tents.
Jeremy's lips were trembling, and he asked Tristan next to him, "How does it feel to sleep in a tent?"
Tristan said casually, "Of course it's better than sleeping on the ground, and it's not cold."
Jeremy looked at Warren hesitantly.
Warren sighed and persuaded, "It's really too expensive."
"But we'll get a prize" Jeremy said this, as if he had really won the prize. Then he said to Tristan, "We want a tent."
Before Tristan said okay, Ebony, who should have fallen asleep a long time ago, suddenly shouted, "Okay, a tent is priced fifteen thousand dollars. Kelly, take out the tent to Mr. Lerman."
Jeremy and Warren, "..."
Did they seem to have been caught in some strange trap?
