Chapter 93 He's the Decision Maker and I'm the Implementer
Warren and Jeremy moved forward with Ebony and her teammates for the next three days.
Jeremy had formed a habit by the fourth day.
He went to Ebony with a bowl when it's time for dinner.
Warren was always in hesitation at the beginning at the thought that he needed to pay a lot of money to Ebony for meals.
Unconsciously, he gave up the hesitation and paid for what he wanted to eat.
On the evening of the fourth day, Warren calculated how much they had spent in the past few days.
He worryingly said to Jeremy who was picking his teeth, "We've spent more than seventy thousand dollars in total."
Jeremy was stunned, looked at the numbers on the ground, and scratched his head, "Why did we spend so much money? I really didn't realize that."
Warren was very melancholy, saying, "We have to win the third prize. If we can't get it, I will go bankrupt."
Jeremy patted him on the shoulder and consoled, "Don't worry. I'm here to be with you. The third prize is forty thousand dollars per person, so we'll get eighty thousand dollars. We've spent less than seventy thousand dollars, so there is still a lot left."
Warren felt that Jeremy was really rich and generous.
In fact, Ebony and her teammates had obtained a lot of clues in the past few days, and Warren and Jeremy had bought all the clues from them.
The clues to the map had been completely figured out at the moment.
Where the map was placed was in the southeast. The route was about three parts. They should go straight to the southeast and take the first corner to the left after seeing a circular pool. Then they needed to pass through a plantain forest and continue to walk forward for half an hour. Finally they would reach a tree-hole-shaped snake cave. The map was in the snake cave.
They'd been moving forward for two days, but they still hadn't seen the circular pool, nor had they met any other teams.
Warren had a strong suspect that they might have gone the wrong way.
Warren went to Ebony and her teammates to discuss with doubt.
As soon as he approached them, he happened to see Ebony and Kelly lying side by side in the tent. They had applied a lot of herbs on their faces as face masks.
Warren, "..."
Hearing his footsteps, Ebony opened her eyes, glanced outside the tent, and asked in a lazy voice, "What's up?"
Warren said, "I want to discuss the route with you."
Ebony said indifferently, "You go talk to Lloyd. He is the decision maker, and I am the implementer. I don't care about something like the route."
Warren, "..."
Warren had to go to Lloyd.
After discussing with Lloyd for half an hour, he returned to his own tent. But he was stunned as soon as he saw Jeremy.
In the tent, Jeremy was lying on the quilt with his face covered with herbs, obviously showing the clear fact that he was using a mask.
Warren covered his head with hands and said sadly, "Why did you buy all kinds of their new products? I just said that we'd spent almost seventy thousand dollars!"
Jeremy opened his eyes and said, "Bro, I have no choice. I rely on my face to earn money."
Warren asked, "How much is this?"
Jeremy replied, "One hundred and fifty dollars."
Warren, "..."
At this moment, outside the tents.
The drone in the sky suddenly descended.
Tristan communicated with the drone for a while, and then went to call Ebony, "Aunt, the two white-haired monkeys have been healed and they are going to be released."
Ebony heard it in the tent and said casually, "Does it have anything to do with us?"
Tristan said, "We're told to give them a reception."
Ebony thought it's time to remove the face mask.
She wiped her face with a wet handkerchief. After washing it, she came out of the tent with a clean face and asked, "Why do we have to receive them?"
Seeing Ebony was so grumpy, the drone hid behind Tristan.
It whispered, "After being wounded by the gunshot, the monkeys became very timid. The animal association is afraid that they will have some psychological disorders, so they ask you to take the monkeys to adapt to the forest for two days."
Ebony frowned.
Lloyd came out from another tent at this time.
He heard the drone's words, walked to Ebony's side, patted her on the back, and said, "It's no bother."
Ebony glanced at Lloyd, and then said to the drone grudgingly, "Just for his sake!"
The drone looked at Lloyd discreetly.
Lloyd chuckled and said, "Send them here."
An hour later, two white-haired monkeys arrived.
Jeremy and Warren didn't know what was going on when they saw a big cage being sent down by a helicopter.
In the cage were two white-haired monkeys that looked wild at first sight, gritting their teeth but shaking all over at the same time.
"They are...Capuchin monkeys with long arms!"
Warren immediately pulled Jeremy back.
Jeremy asked in doubt, "What's wrong?"
Ebony walked over at this moment and bent over to open the cage.
Warren immediately shouted, "Don't touch them! They are very ferocious. They eat people!"
A sudden silence occurred.
Ebony raised her head and looked at Warren.
Jeremy was shocked, asking, "What did you say? They eat people?"
Warren said solemnly, "Human flesh is in their recipes. They does not resist eating human flesh. Just like tigers and lions, they will bite off your neck when you approach them and then eat you!"
Jeremy shouted in horror, "So...why did the show send these two cruel monkeys to us?"
Warren shook his head because he also didn't know why. He stood in front of Jeremy bravely and stared at the big cage vigilantly.
Hearing his words, Ebony clucked and didn't stop the move to open the cage.
"I'm serious! Don't do it! They..."
Ebony took a shivering little white monkey out of the cage. It probably smelled the familiar smell on Ebony's body, so it grabbed her clothes obediently.
Ebony turned around, handed the little white monkey to Lloyd, and said jokingly, "Let your mom hold you."
Lloyd was about to reach out.
But hearing her words, he put his hands down and stared at her.
Ebony laughed a little awkwardly, "No offence. Morris said you and I were like parents."
Lloyd squinted and looked gloomy.
Ebony had to apologize, "I'm joking. You're not its mom. Sorry."
Lloyd took the little monkey with a sullen face.
When the little white monkey arrived in Lloyd's arms, it immediately grabbed Lloyd's clothes and it was still trembling.
Lloyd held it tightly in his arms.
Ebony took the other little white monkey out of the cage then.
This monkey was even more timid than the last one. It buried its head in Ebony's arms at once, closed its eyes and refused to show its face instantly being held by Ebony.
Ebony fondled its head and smelled the smell on its body. It didn't stink. It should have been bathed in the hospital.
She asked, "Did you miss Dad?"
The little white monkey showed one eye, glanced at Ebony, and then hugged her more tightly with its arms around her neck.
Jeremy, "..."
Warren, "..."
Jeremy glanced at Warren and asked, "They eat people?"
Warren, "..."
Tristan came to explain a little to Warren and Jeremy the origin of these two monkeys and the story of them being rescue by Ebony.
After hearing that, Warren was still restless and did not allow Jeremy to approach the monkeys.
Ebony hugged the little monkey, sat by the bonfire, and gave it a piece of fruit to eat.
The little white monkey held and observed the fruit. But then it looked at Ebony and returned the fruit to Ebony.
Kelly was so impressed by its adorable move and appearance that she held her face in her hands and praised, "It's so cute."
Ebony laughed and coaxed it softly, "Dad doesn't eat it. It's yours."
The little white monkey couldn't understand her words, so it put the fruit close to Ebony's mouth.
Ebony had to take a bite. Then the little monkey took the fruit back and began to eat.
Warren explained to Ebony, "This is a kind of fear.Weak animals will give food to the strong ones nearby so as to achieve the purpose of pleasing and protect themselves from being eaten."
Ebony raised her eyebrows and looked at Warren, said, "You are very widely read in biology."
Warren said, "My grandfather was a biology teacher."
Ebony nodded.
At this moment, Ebony instantly felt that something was wrong.
There was a stench in the air.
Ebony frowned. She slowly lifted the little monkey in her arms.
She guessed right. The monkey urinated on her!
It! Peed! On her clothes!
Ebony stood up right away.
Holding the back of the little white monkey's neck, she handed it to Lloyd with a gloomy face and said viciously, "I'll divorce you! The child belongs to you."
Lloyd, "..."
