Chapter 258 Wake Up, You're Not a Fan of Lloyd & Ebony

Ebony finished her words.

The entire place suddenly fell silent.

Ebony came to her senses and quickly realized her improper remark.

She hurriedly added, "No, it's not what I mean. I've never hit or scolded anyone..."

Before she could finish her explanation, there came a sudden burst of laughter. "Hahaha!"

Startled by it, she immediately looked over.

It was Grace. While laughing heartily, she patted her thigh. "Hahaha, you think so too? Lloyd is awesome, isn't he? I also find that kid has some merits! Hahaha!"

When she was done laughing, he deliberately nudged Chasidah.

Chasidah was shoved to the side and ground her teeth.

Eliza and Lydia watched helplessly. The ages of the two seniors combined were around 100. Why were they still so childish?

When those ladies were chatting, they couldn't chime in. Instead, they just sat there listening.

After a while, Rita ran over happily and said, "Jacob and I are going."

Ebony was surprised.

Earlier, when Ebony and Lloyd invited them, they were told to stay there for the night.

After all, the two had come all the way here to help them record the show. She couldn't let them travel back after dinner.

Rita and Jacob had planned to stay. They had brought their pajamas and toiletries with them.

Now they wanted to leave, probably because they saw too many guests who had suddenly come.

Ebony frowned and immediately got up. "I'll talk to the program team. They can rent houses nearby, I think."

Rita said causally, "It's okay. We can go back since it's not too late."

Ebony was reluctant and shouted toward the kitchen, "Lloyd."

Eliza chimed in, "You guys should stay and have fun. We'll be gone in a moment."

She turned to look at her mother-in-law and asked, "Right, mom?"

Chasidah gave no response.

Eliza was stunned.

Lydia patted the back of her sister-in-law's hand and whispered, "Stop talking."

Eliza was confused.

She looked at Chasidah, Grace, and Lydia who were playing dumb.

Then she looked across the table at Jon and Darryl.

When the two men noticed her gaze, they either looked at the sky or the ground. Neither of them made eye contact with her.

She was baffled and speechless.

What was wrong with these people? They had a deal that they would not disturb Ebony. After meeting and dining with her, they would go.

Why did they want to stay for the night?

That was too much!

While drying his hands, Lloyd came out of the kitchen and asked, "What's wrong?"

Ebony said, "Rita and Jacob want to leave."

Lloyd froze, frowned, and indifferently ran his eyes over those people who were twiddling with their fingers or stroking their hair on the sofa. Then he said in a cold voice, "They're the ones who should go."

Once the words were out of his mouth, the entire sofa area quieted down.

Knowing that they were in the wrong, the Gibson family members kept their mouths shut. Even Grace didn't dare to challenge her son.

Ebony sighed and said, "I'll go talk to the director."

With that, she took her phone and went to the balcony to make a call.

A moment later, she came back and said, "The big villa at Block D2 has been rented by the program team. Rita, Jacob, and Justin will stay here tonight. The others will go to the villa. It's big enough to accommodate you guys."

Instead of pushing their luck, the Gibsons acquiesced in the arrangement.

Moses was reluctant.

After finishing his work, he came over and heard that he was going to be chucked out.

He certainly would not agree. "I was invited! Justin will stay. Why am I driven away?"

Ebony looked at him and said indifferently, "There are only three guest rooms."

Moses immediately said, "I'll just share the room with Justin!"

With that, he looked back at the man in his wheelchair and pleaded, "Justin, is it okay?"

Justin froze, looked at Moses' pitiful face, and laughed after a moment of silence, "Sure."

Moses hurriedly looked at his aunt.

Ebony said, "That will do since Justin is fine with it. However, there's only one bed. Are you sure you can make do?"

Moses didn't even give Justin a chance to speak. He quickly replied, "Yeah, my frame is small, and I'm quiet in my sleep. I promise I won't be on top of Justin!"

Since both men agreed, Ebony didn't mince words. She let Moses stay.

Grace immediately chimed in, "Actually, my frame is small too. I can share a bed with you."

Lloyd squinted at his mother and said coldly, "You should go."

Grace glared at her son. "I..."

Chasidah hurriedly said, "He's right, Grace. You should sleep in the big house. It's spacious there, and I can share the room with Ebs."

Ebony said helplessly, "Mom."

Chasidah froze.

Her heart melted when she heard Ebony calling her mom.

She got muddleheaded and blurted out, "Okay, I'll listen to you and get out of your hair. You call the shots!"

Her earlobes flushed a little when Ebony heard that.

Half an hour later, the Gibsons were gone.

Only the original four guests were left in the wedding house.

Rita said awkwardly, "It feels like we have driven everyone away."

No longer that nervous, Ebony relaxed, lay back on the sofa, and lazily said, "There are not many guest rooms here. Even if you're not here, there is no space to accommodate all of them."

Moses didn't dare to utter a sound. He was afraid that his aunt would remember that he was the one who brought them here.

Lloyd carried a tray of fruit out of the kitchen, sat down beside Ebony, looked at her weary eyes, grabbed her hand, put it on his lap, and squeezed her fingers.

Ebony, who was eating strawberries, intended to pull her hand back, but Lloyd gave a good massage. She felt comfortable and did not move.

They chatted for a while.

Then Lloyd suddenly felt a weight on his shoulder.

He turned sideways and looked over. Holding a strawberry, Ebony was leaning against his shoulder, asleep.

The place instantly quieted down.

Rita asked in surprise, "Is Ebony so exhausted?"

Lloyd gave no response.

The meal was indeed a challenge for her.

She had been in a state of high tension for several hours.

Her exhaustion was more mental than physical.

When one was mentally exhausted to a certain extent, she couldn't help falling asleep and revealing such a haggard and weak side.

Lloyd sighed and said to everyone, "Good night, guys."

The others responded and tiptoed upstairs one after another.

The living room quieted down. Only Lloyd and Ebony were left there.

Lloyd held the girl, let her sleep in his arms, and continued to gently massage her fingers.

In front of the monitor, the assistant director sighed at the scene. "The two of them really don't know when to avoid..."

Click.

He was startled.

He looked over and unmistakably caught the chief director snapping pictures.

He yelled immediately, "Can you stop taking pictures? The shutter is on. Why don't you turn on the flashlight too? What, are you going to release spoilers of your show? We have an NDA! Wake up, you're the chief director rather than a fan of Lloyd & Ebony."

While being scolded by the assistant director, the chief director snapped more pictures and hurriedly said, "Okay, I'm done. Really... Uh, Ebony is awake."

The assistant director turned back to the monitor and saw Ebony had opened her eyes while Lloyd and she were keeping their postures."

The chief director rejoiced, "Fortunately, my moves were fast."

The assistant director was speechless.

He itched to go over and kick the chief director's ass.

Since Ebony was awake, the filming for today was done.

The assistant director planned to call upon the crew to wrap up their work.

On the screen, Ebony was seen suddenly closing her eyes again after a while. Keeping her posture, she gently nestled in the man's arms, breathed evenly, and pretended to be asleep while he was holding her hand.
