Chapter 302 Ebo, Truth or Dare

Chapter 302 Ebo, Truth or Dare?

Ebony spent an hour teaching Lloyd to cook.

And then she spent three hours talking him out of it.

At six o'clock in the evening, they went to a wrap-up dinner at a hotel near their home.

On the road, she was still advising Lloyd, "That was a waste of time and money. That fish died in vain."

Lloyd was speechless.

Driving the car, he remained silent the entire time.

Ebony looked at his gloomy face and added, "Just leave the kitchen work to me."

Still, he didn't utter a sound.

After a while, they arrived at the hotel.

Kara and others had arrived at the box.

At the sight of her, Kara shouted cheerfully, "Ebo, come and join us."

Ebony walked over, sat down beside the girl, and asked, "What are you playing?"

"Truth or Dare," Donald replied.

Ebony was surprised.

Lloyd sat down on the other side of her and said, "I'm in."

The crowd cheered, "Lloyd is in the game!"

In their minds, an internationally-renowned actor like him would care about his image. Although he hadn't put on airs in front of the other guests, he was not likely to play a game with the support crew. To their surprise, he was such an easygoing person.

Someone rotated a beer bottle. It spun and pointed to Ebony in the end.

"Wow..." There was an uproar in the crowd.

She looked at the bottleneck blankly and blinked.

Kara stood up, laughed, and asked, "Truth or Dare, Ebo?"

Ebony scratched her face, thought for a moment, and replied, "Truth."

"Good!" Donald took out the card that had been prepared beforehand, checked out the questions, and asked, "Are you single?"

"Wow!" The others cheered. This question was fantastic.

Kara hurriedly looked over at her.

Ebony froze for a moment, tactfully glanced at Lloyd, and saw that the man was also looking at her.

She hurriedly turned back, cleared her throat, and replied, "No."

Lloyd smiled.

"Ahhh..." Everyone was astonished.

Among them, Kara cried out the loudest, "W... hat?"

The girl went nuts. Ebony checked her and added, "The program is not over yet, so I'm still married and not single."

Kara was petrified.

The others snorted.

Lloyd frowned.

Kara sat down.

Just then, a staff member got up and tried to spin the bottle again.

Lloyd suddenly rose and said, "I'll try it."

The staff member was surprised.

Ebony was too.

Lloyd grabbed the bottle, and she had a bad feeling. At once, she glared at him, warning him against messing around.

Without looking at her, Lloyd spun the bottle. In the end, it pointed to himself.

Ebony froze.

There was another uproar.

Lloyd straightened up, stuck his hands into his pants pockets, and said calmly, "Dare."

Donald took the card and stood up. "OK, let me take a look."

"Is there one that I can choose a lady here to kiss?" Lloyd asked.

Under the table, Ebony stepped on his shoes.

Lloyd was taken aback.

And he fell silent.

Donald skimmed through the questions and smiled, "Call your ex-girlfriend and tell her that you like her!"

"Wow!" The onlookers cheered again.

This game was so exciting.

Lloyd stiffened upon hearing the question. Then he calmly took out his phone and browsed the address book.

Everyone was stunned again. He agreed so readily.

Someone murmured, "Who is Lloyd's ex-girlfriend? B... Belinda?"

"Holy cow, this is huge!"

Ebony frowned at Lloyd and pulled a long face when he was seen making the call.

Lloyd really had an ex-girlfriend! Who?

One second later.

Bringg...

Ebony's phone rang.

She was stunned.

And so were the others.

The room fell into dead silence. People looked over in unison.

She looked at Lloyd with wide eyes.

Dung! She forgot who Lloyd's ex-girlfriend was.

Technically, it was his ex-fiancée.

She tensed up.

Kara narrowed her eyes and glared at her suspiciously.

Then the ringtone stopped.

Lloyd put down his phone and said blandly, "She didn't answer the phone."

Ebony was astounded.

And so were the others.

They shifted their attention back to Ebony.

Holding his phone, he asked Donald, "Can I send a message?"

Donald was speechless.

In a daze, he replied, "Ye... Yeah..."

A moment later, there came a ding. Ebony received a text message on her phone.

Lloyd put his phone away, sat down, and said, "Sent."

Everyone was as quiet as the grave.

No one dared to ask him who the receiver was or let Ebony take out her phone.

The atmosphere froze.

Fortunately, a waiter came in and asked, "May I serve the dishes?"

"Yeah, please!" a staff member said in a hurry.

The Truth or Dare game ended.

While the dishes were served, Ebony excused herself and fled from Kara's reproachful gaze.

In the bathroom, she took out her phone and checked it out. Sure enough, the message was from Lloyd.

The text was simple and consisted of three words. "I like you."

She read it, ground her teeth, and turned off her phone in a fit of pique. Then she pushed open the door and went out of the compartment.

Once she was outside, a pistol was pointed at her temple.

In a hotel suite in the distant Bierske, Max put down his phone.

He leaned against the sofa and took a drag off a cigarette.

Amid the smoke, his other hand picked up a photo and stroked the pretty face of a girl on it. Without looking up, he asked his subordinate, "She knew my tricks but saved me regardless of everything. Who do you think she is?"

The subordinate had no idea.

He could only say, "Boss, we promised the Crocan military that we would not lay our hands on Ebony again but caught her. Isn't it..."

Halfway through his speech, he noticed a cold look from their leader and immediately shut his mouth.

Just then, his phone rang.

He stiffened, not daring to pick it up.

Max took another drag off his cigarette and said nonchalantly, "Go ahead."

The subordinate took out his phone and found a video clip.

He played it, but the content blew his mind.

"B... Boss..." He vacantly presented his phone and faltered, "Take... a look."

Max frowned, took the phone, and saw in the video the delicate face of a girl.

Ebony was holding her phone with one hand and fiddling with a pistol with her other hand. She laughed playfully and directed the camera to her feet.

Down there lay two elite members of Bloody Group. Black and blue, they were vomiting blood.

The girl directed the camera back to her face.

She smiled and said friendly, "Hi, Mr. Max, how are you doing? I'm a cleaner on the first floor of the apartment building. Through this video, I want to tell you that your garbage has been cleared!"
