Chapter 29
Vanessa and Emily originally planned to go to the beauty salon for a spa today and watch a movie in the afternoon. Then Vanessa would take Emily to the airport in the evening. The three-day holiday would end perfectly.
But the beauty salon was filled with people and its reservation was full today.
All the seats with good views in the cinema had been reserved, only some corner seats were left.
They didn't want to make do with it, and had nothing to do. They stayed at home for a while, not knowing what to do.
Until Emily suddenly remembered the "stud-farm" she heard about that day, she mentioned to Vanessa that she wanted to see it.
At first, Vanessa hesitated and thought it might not be good to go there so abruptly. But Emily rarely came to hang out and was curious about the stud farm. Vanessa tried talking to Theo.
Unexpectedly, Theo agreed without hesitation. He had asked the manager of the stud farm to get ready. He asked them to go directly.
So Vanessa and Emily changed into comfortable and convenient clothes and took a taxi to the stud farm after lunch.
Unexpectedly, Vanessa and Emily met Shawn at the stud farm.
At first, they hadn't found anyone there. They got out of the car and walked in excitedly. The guard knew that they would come in advance and let them in directly.
But Vanessa looked over there.
Although she could not see his face clearly at a distance, she was sure that the vague figure sitting on the chair was Shawn.
He happened to look over too.
Not far away, Vanessa suddenly stopped and stood still.
Emily was stunned when she saw Shawn.
"Oh, my God." She murmured, "It must be fate between you guys."
Vanessa immediately regained her mind, tidied her hair, and was about to go over.
Emily pulled her, "Why are you in such a hurry?"
Emily glanced at Shawn quietly. She knew clearly that Shawn was looking at them. She said, "Be reserved. Are you oblivious to it? As expected, since you haven't chased anyone, you don't understand any sense of propriety."
On this side, although Shawn saw Vanessa coming at the first sight, his behavioral reaction was not as quick as Finley's.
When Finley saw Vanessa and Emily, he was surprised for a while. He did not expect that strangers would come into his private stud farm.
As the host, he immediately stood up and walked toward Vanessa and Emily with half curiosity and half vigilance.
Shawn was about to get up. Seeing that Finley was moving so fast, he slowly brought a cup of water and kept looking at his back.
...
At the moment Finley approached, he saw the visitors clearly. He didn't look at Vanessa and Emily like they were strangers anymore. He smiled kindly. "Who are you guys?"
Vanessa didn't know Finley. However, according to his aura and host-like attitude, she could probably guess his general identity.
Vanessa casually glanced at Shawn. Seeing that he was still sitting firmly in his chair, she simply introduced herself and said, "We're sorry that we've come suddenly today. We've told Mr. Sanchez in advance. But we didn't expect you to be here. We'd better not disturb you."
Hearing Vanessa's words, Finley remembered that on New Year's day, he hadn't reversed his jet lag. He had tea with Theo in the morning. He vaguely heard Theo say "Welcome to the stud farm".
Although Finley didn't know Vanessa, he always boasted of being a gentleman, especially when facing beautiful women.
Though Theo had told Finley nothing in advance, Finley decided to treat Vanessa well as a host. Instead, he forgot his specially called friends.
"You're already here. The stud farm is so big. It's alright that you guys stay here." Finley raised his hand and made a sign of invitation. "Just hang out around, or shall I show you around?"
Vanessa looked at Shawn again. Though it was far away, they looked at each other.
"Yes."
...
The two friends sitting next to Shawn also looked at it curiously for a while. They watched Finley take Vanessa and Emily directly to the stables and looked on coldly. They could not help joking, "Finley really doesn't change his nature. Seeing two beautiful women, he left us behind and didn't bring them here to introduce them to us."
Shawn played with the Jade Buddha in his hand and gave them a cool glance.
"How can you know they are beautiful women from so far away?"
No one noticed that his emphasis was a bit strange.
A friend answered his question, "Although it is far away, they are beauties according to their figures and temperament."
Another friend smiled and looked at Shawn, "Why? Do you think they're normal?"
Shawn glanced at Finley, Vanessa, and Emily and kept looking at them. After a while, he said carelessly.
"Not bad."
The two friends were happy at once. "If Finley knew what you've just said, he would be angry. He is very demanding of his girlfriend. Ordinary girls can't attract him."
"Really?"
Seeing that Finley, Vanessa, and Emily had entered the stable, Shawn suddenly got up and looked down at his two friends. "Do you know why Finley is still unmarried?"
The two friends were stunned at the sudden question. They looked at Shawn curiously and looked as if they were all ears.
"His demands are too high."
With the words, Shawn went to the stable.
...
Finley had asked about the identities and occupations of Vanessa and Emily and praised them.
"I read the dialogue manuscript between you and my father some time ago. At that time, I asked my father who wrote it. If I had the chance, I would know him or her. I didn't expect to meet you today."
Emily stood quietly. In fact, she had been helping to pay attention to Shawn's reactions.
While Vanessa listened attentively to Finley's words, holding her hand at the edge of the fence and tapping it gently.
The horse in front of her was the red horse that Vanessa rode last time. The long hair on its neck was braided, which was very memorable.
It also seemed to have a little impression of Vanessa. Looking at the slender fair fingers shaking in front of it, with the nature of animals, it suddenly looked up and rubbed Vanessa.
Vanessa suddenly felt a fluffy touch. Some bad memories occurred in her mind. Vanessa was surprised and suddenly withdrew her hand.
It seemed that she was frightened by the horse. Finley hurriedly said, "Don't be afraid. This horse is very docile. Its action shows that it likes you."
Vanessa nodded and whispered to herself, "It depends on who rides it."
With that, she groaned and looked out.
Shawn was extremely calm. Vanessa had been here for so long. He obviously saw it, but he didn't respond at all. It seemed that he didn't know her at all.
The stables were open with a good view. Vanessa could see Shawn clearly.
He just sat there without looking this way. He looked calm.
Finley didn't hear what she was muttering. He didn't care. After chatting with her for a while, he waved to ask the breeder to come.
"It's comfortable today. Why don't you try riding?"
Vanessa looked at Emily to ask her intention.
Emily was interested in horseback riding. Besides, Finley, as a host, was hospitable. Of course, she would not hesitate to refuse, and immediately nodded.
Vanessa smiled and said, "Yes. Thank you, Finley."
Finley said, "You're welcome."
Today, Finley was wearing a loose sweater. He was comfortable all over in a high spirit. He moved his shoulders and neck and said, "I'm here to have fun today. I'm free. I can teach you."
Finley was so enthusiastic when he met Vanessa for the first time. But Shawn was sitting still.
Vanessa got angry at the thought.
"Are you too idle?"
A male voice suddenly rang out, "Then why are you calling us to come in such a hurry?"
The three people in the stable turned back one after another.
Vanessa and Finley were very close. Vanessa was still smiling.
The sunlight outside was so bright.
Shawn stood at the door in a poor light. In the light and shadow, his figure was outlined as a clear silhouette, tall and straight, even though he leaned loosely against the door.
Finley was suddenly stunned. Somehow, he didn't know how to respond.
Shawn didn't really have to wait for Finley to say anything. He looked at Vanessa, "Why are you here?"
Vanessa somehow felt that Shawn's eyes were somewhat aggressive.
She unconsciously moved back two steps, but still said stiffly, "The stud farm is not yours."
Emily listened. She realized that Vanessa had suddenly become enlightened. Vanessa finally understood Emily's advice these days, so Emily silently gave her a thumbs up.
When Shawn heard Vanessa's tone, he frowned. Then he saw her close to Finley. Shawn stepped forward to approach her.
"Really? But I can easily make you out of here."
Vanessa:?
She was really angry and annoyed by Shawn.
But before Vanessa could speak, Finley interrupted, "Do you know each other?"
Finley was not a fool.
According to the dialogue between Shawn and Vanessa, Finley could quickly guess their unusual relationship.
But with his understanding of Shawn, it seemed that it should not be what he imagined.
The anger between Shawn and Vanessa confused Finley.
Shawn glanced at Finley. It seemed that he didn't care about Finley and went straight to Vanessa.
At this time, Finley wanted to ease the atmosphere. He turned to Vanessa and said, "Since you are a friend of Shawn, you are also my friend. Just have fun at home."
Shawn was furious about Finley's words.
Shawn said, "When was our relationship so good?"
Finley:?
Hearing this, Vanessa misunderstood it. She was angry. She glanced at Shawn, bit her teeth, and said with a smile, "Yes, we don't know each other well."
After Vanessa finished speaking, there was a pause in Shawn's step.
Vanessa said to Finley again, "It's not good to bother you so much."
Shawn stood in front of Vanessa, but he didn't speak. He kept looking at her.
Seeing that Shawn was staring at Vanessa, Emily moved away a little, but Finley's style of conduct was completely different.
Finley stood in front of Vanessa. "It's alright. My father has asked me to treat you guys well. Let's go. I'll find some protective clothing for you."
Vanessa immediately smiled and said, "OK, thank you, Finley."
When she passed by Shawn with Finley, she raised her chin and seemed to say, "The host invited me. What's wrong?"
Shawn turned around slowly, put one hand into his pocket, and stared at their back until he left the stable.
After a while, he gave a cold snort.
...
As it was already the middle of winter, it was much colder than when Vanessa came last time.
In addition, she wore casual clothes. So she could only take off her coat and wear a set of protective clothing.
In the quiet dressing room, Vanessa bowed her head and wore protective clothing.
Maybe the set of protective clothing was complicated. Maybe she was in a fret.
She still couldn't wear it after a long time. Vanessa was annoyed and pulled out her belt.
Suddenly, the curtain of the door behind Vanessa was moved. Shawn's breath came in with the cold wind.
Vanessa was shocked. Before she could react, her belt was taken away.
Immediately, Shawn's arms bypassed her waist and abdomen, quickly fastened the belt, and pulled and tied it neatly. Vanessa was bound into his arms by the belt.
Vanessa's back was close to him, and she was still surrounded by his hands.
In the narrow dressing room, Shawn's breath was blowing in her ears, and even the tip of her nose was lingering with the fragrance of his clothes.
He did not let go, and Vanessa did not move.
The two kept this position, and the sound of breathing gradually became more and more clear and thick.
And, someone's heart beat wildly.
Until Shawn's voice sounded gently above Vanessa's head.
"Didn't you still want to sleep with me two days ago, but you're not close to me today?"
Vanessa, "...."
