Chapter 66

Chapter 66
After saying that, Emily could clearly feel Vanessa fall silent on the other end of the phone.
So even though she was a little drunk, she hung up the phone consciously.
After the phone was hung up, the air in the room seemed to stop flowing.
If the time could be reversed to ten minutes, Vanessa would definitely not answer the phone.
If she could go back to seven years ago, she would definitely apply to the university teacher for changing dormitory.
However, at this moment, Vanessa could do nothing but remain stiff. She looked at Shawn and even forgot to blink her eyes.
Her body lotion smelled like Magnolia. Smelling her fragrance in his arms, Shawn didn't say anything. He just looked at her as if he was saying, "What do you think of your friend's proposal?"
It was such a bad idea!
Vanessa turned her face away.
Then Shawn kissed her earlobe.
She almost forgot that Shawn liked to kiss her earlobes.
Vanessa struggled to push his head. "Shawn, I'm angry now."
However, Shawn even didn't give her a chance to finish her words, not to mention losing her temper.
But he knew that he was here to make an apology, so he kissed her gently.
As their breath was intertwined, the intertwining of lips and tongue quickly made Vanessa unable to resist. Her faint refusal now turned into temptation.
Finally, she couldn't help but put her arms around Shawn's neck and raise her chin to respond to him. The confrontation of this day officially ended.
When Vanessa could finally catch her breath, her nightgown had been rolled up to her chest.
There was no wind in the bedroom, but she felt the chandelier was shaking. She clasped Shawn's back with her ten fingers and exerted force slowly.
At this moment, every nerve of her was no longer under her control. Her eyes gradually blurred.
All she could see now was Shawn's blurry outline and his clear but lustful eyes.
She opened her mouth. The sensation all over her body was gradually boiling, making her feel soaked in boiling spring water. Shawn's low voice was still ringing in her ears.
The chandelier shook more and more violently. Although Vanessa was lying under Shawn's body, she felt like she was on the verge of collapsing like the chandelier.
She was too shy to look into Shawn's eyes, but every time she closed her eyes, she would be stimulated by Shawn's deliberate behavior to open them.
He seemed to like eye contact with her at this time, or he just wanted to see how much she loved him.
Not only did he want to see it, but he also wanted her to see how much he loved her.
So late at night, Vanessa's fingerprint was left on the mirror in the cloakroom.
The sound of the clock would always become particularly clear at midnight. With the sound of the water in the bathroom, Vanessa was indignant.
She huddled up in the quilt like a shrimp, turned her back to the bathroom, and was lost in thought for a long time.
Who on earth was apologizing to whom?
Did Shawn really feel a little remorseful?
But she didn't dare to question him like that.
She was afraid that Shawn would make it up to her with more sex if she said it at night.
Thus, she had to endure the grievance alone.
However, after she decided to forgive Shawn for concealing the truth from her on purpose, Vanessa only felt happy about Rachel Taylor's identity.
Almost everyone was talking about Rachel Taylor from the elevator to her office the second morning.
Vanessa sighed silently in her heart about the influence of Rachel Taylor, but she pretended to be calm and sat down.
Although Tracy had got the exact information yesterday, when she saw Vanessa, who had the actual connection with Rachel Taylor, she still felt excited.
She approached Vanessa with a cup of coffee in her hand. "No one dares to believe I have worked with Rachel Taylor's daughter for months!"
Vanessa asked in surprise, "Did you know that, too?"
Tracy put on an unbelievable look and said, "Do you think it's still the age of 2G? The flow of social media has reached a record high because of this. The family relationship of Rachel Taylor has been exposed. Now everyone knows that Sophia is her daughter."
People in the company didn't know about Sophia's family relationship before because they didn't care much about it.
Who would spend the effort to dig out a colleague's family background?
But if it related to an entertainment star, like Rachel Taylor, people's curiosity would be doubled. In just two or three hours, someone had already made the diagram of the relationship between Rachel Taylor, Edward Yost, William Yeats, Shawn Yeats, and Sophia Yeats.
Vanessa didn't know how to respond, so she just nodded.
For Vanessa, few people knew about her relationship with Shawn, so she didn't think the Rachel Taylor incident had anything to do with her.
However, this thought only lasted for a morning.
After lunch, Vanessa and Tracy went downstairs to buy coffee. When they came back, they felt that colleagues were looking at her all the way.
"What's wrong?"
Vanessa stopped beside a female colleague and asked, "Is there anything on my face?"
In fact, this woman didn't want to pry into other people's private life, but since Vanessa had taken the initiative to ask her, she would tell the truth.
"Is your boyfriend Shawn Yeats? Rachel Taylor's brother?"
Vanessa turned to look at Tracy. Tracy immediately waved her hand, indicating that she had said nothing.
But since the colleague asked, she didn't intend to hide it deliberately.
"How did you know?"
The woman looked around. After making sure that Lily didn't come, she pulled Vanessa aside and whispered, "Lily said you were with Sophia's uncle. Isn't Sophia's uncle Shawn?"
Vanessa hadn't expected that Lily's rumor would be scotched this way.
Lily must have seen the news of Rachel Taylor last night, so she didn't have the courage to come to the company today but asked for annual leave.
Because of Lily, in just an afternoon, Vanessa had a new title on the network: the sister-in-law of Rachel Taylor.
But when the colleagues curiously asked Vanessa about Rachel Taylor's information, they found that Vanessa was so tight-mouthed and didn't answer anything.
This was probably the self-cultivation of being a star's family.

However, only Vanessa herself knew that she really didn't know anything.
It was the weekend four days later that she had had close contact with Rachel Taylor again. It was a convention of the Yests family. Everyone in this family had to go back to the old mansion to have dinner with William on this day.
For Shawn, it was an ordinary day.
For Vanessa, however, this was the first day she met Shawn's family formally.
"Are you okay?"
After Vanessa changed her sixth set of clothes, Shawn finally couldn't help but enter the cloakroom.
He looked at Vanessa up and down and couldn't help laughing. "In fact, you don't have to wear such simple clothes."
Vanessa lowered her head to look at her Beige fine hair dress. She was not sure.
"Is it too simple? It ages me, doesn't it?"
Without waiting for Shawn's answer, she immediately looked for other clothes and said, "Then I'll check other clothes."
Shawn was speechless.
He grabbed Vanessa's hand and said, "It's pretty."
"Your opinion doesn't matter."
Vanessa shook off his hand and mumbled, "I have left a bad impression on your sister. I can't leave a bad impression on your father."
Shawn felt helpless. He was amused by Vanessa's busy look.
"Your seriousness will put me under a lot of pressure. What should I do when I see your parents?"
Vanessa paused in front of the hanger, but she finally ignored him and continued to pick clothes.
When she picked up a light-colored dress, Shawn said, "I love you, so they must like you, too. So relax and don't be nervous."
As soon as he finished his words, Vanessa stopped picking clothes.
.
After a while, she turned around slowly.
"What did you say?"
Shawn repeated, "Relax. We are just going to have dinner together. Don't be nervous."
Vanessa shook her head and replied, "No."
Shawn raised his eyebrows and looked at Vanessa. Looking at her bright eyes, he suddenly understood what she meant.
But he leaned against the wardrobe as if he hadn't heard her words. He just raised his chin and said softly, "Go change your shoes."
"Say that again!" Vanessa grabbed his arm and looked up at him. "Your last sentence!"
Shawn lowered his head helplessly and stared into her eyes. "I love you."
"I love you, too."
Vanessa was satisfied with the result, so she got dressed quickly.
It was not until they arrived at the Yeats' mansion that Vanessa realized she did not need to be nervous.
She and Sophia were already friends. She and Edward were also familiar with each other. In addition, last year, she had a few words with William on the forum.
Rachel Taylor was the only stranger to her at the table.
But on second thought, Vanessa had seen her in all kinds of concerts and TV shows.
Therefore, during the dinner, Shawn felt that her girlfriend was getting closer and closer to Rachel.
Unknowingly, Vanessa passed an empty seat and sat beside Rachel, looking at her with admiration, completely forgetting her boyfriend.
Shawn only felt speechless.
After dinner, Rachel flew to another city to work.
Instead of leaving in a hurry, Shawn and Vanessa chatted with William and Edward.
Sophia didn't understand what they were talking about and couldn't sit still, so she walked to the French window and looked outside. Suddenly, something occurred to her. She turned around and shouted, "Aunt Vanessa."
Vanessa was at a loss.
She felt embarrassed to be called like this in front of Shawn's family.
After a few seconds, Vanessa looked back shyly and asked, "What's wrong?"
Sophia didn't notice Sophia's embarrassment but looked out of the window and said, "The cherries are ripe. Let's pick some."
The others at the table didn't seem to notice Sophia's words or even look at her.
Vanessa breathed a sigh of relief and said, "I'll go with Sophia to pick cherries."
Under the dinner table, Shawn pinched her hand and said, "Take more and take them home."
Then he looked at her and said a word with his lips.
Vanessa recognized it clearly.
"Aunt Vanessa."
Two searchlights were turned on in the yard, making the figures of Vanessa and Sophia as blurred as paintings.
The two cherry trees were not tall, so they could pick cherries with their hands.
"Are you coming back to work?" Vanessa picked up a basket of plump cherries while chatting with Sophia. "Now the whole company knows who you are. If you go back, you have to be prepared to be watched every day."
Sophia sighed, "Can I say no? Although it wasn't my fault in the car accident last time, my father and uncle thought I was so idle that so much trouble happened to me."
In fact, Vanessa also thought so.
Sophia stood on tiptoe and pulled a branch. "They are busy, so they don't want to see others idle."
Vanessa took the basket from her hand and said, "If you really don't want to go, don't force yourself. It's more important to do what you like."
"I'm going." Sophia said, "People can't be idle all their lives. Besides, I don't know what I like."
Vanessa raised her eyebrow and smiled. "I can't believe you said that."
"I didn't say that."
Lonn said that on the day of her car accident.
But thinking of the conversation with Lonn that day, Sophia felt a little heavy in her heart and didn't want to mention it again, so she asked Vanessa, "If a man has no weakness, how can I pursue him?"
"Who do you mean? Lonn?" Vanessa asked.
Sophia pursed her lips and nodded.
"I really can't understand him. He is like a mystery."
"Why do you have to understand him?"
Vanessa glanced at Shawn in the living room and said softly, "If you have the spare time and ability, you'd better apply for Harvard."
"Then what should I do? I don't know how to attract him. I feel like I'm a primary school student in front of him," Sophia answered honestly.
Vanessa, who thought herself was experienced in this, stretched out her finger and said, "There's only one way: being a stalker."
"Excuse me?"
Sophia hadn't expected Vanessa's way of being so simple but rude. "Do you think it will work on Lonn?"
"Why not? Is he more difficult to understand than your uncle? That's how I got him."
Then the two of them froze at the same time.
Vanessa seemed to see a question mark gradually appear on Sophia's head.
"The uncle you said, do you mean, my uncle?"
