Chapter 70

Chapter 70
It was just spring. The wintersweet on the balcony turned into dead branches unconsciously, and they were replaced with a bunch of Gardenia.
Vanessa liked the rich fragrance. It smelled like summer.
She was looking forward to the coming of summer every day.
While birds and cicadas were singing and the flowers were flourishing, she was going to wear the wedding dress to marry Shawn.
On this day, Emily received an invitation from Vanessa.
She took a look at the wedding photo and didn't feel the milk tea at hand was delicious at all.
In other people's wedding photos, the bride was like a noble princess, smiling with a sense of shyness.
It seemed that Vanessa didn't know how to be shy, and the corners of her mouth almost reached her ears.
Vanessa was not afraid that her children in the future would feel that her intelligence was not very high after seeing the wedding photo hanging at home.
After reading the invitation, Emily received a message from Vanessa. Vanessa sent more than ten pictures, which were the concept design provided by the wedding planning team.
Vanessa: Which one is more beautiful?
After reading these contents for a few minutes, Emily typed with tears in her eyes.
Emily: FUCK.
Emily: Both of them look GREAT.
Vanessa: Don't say these words. I'm tired of listening to Shawn saying it. Help me choose.
It was a little difficult for Emily.
The wedding was held in Adare Manor in Iroca. The environment of the hotel itself was already very beautiful. With the elaborate design of the wedding team, Emily had to choose the best among the pile of photos. It was more difficult than the last choice in the college entrance examination math.
While Emily was hesitating, Vanessa sent her several more photos.
Vanessa: What about this? The design director said that this was the work he was going to use for the competition this year.
After Emily read these photos several times, her hands began to tremble. She typed to sincerely praise Vanessa.
Emily: This one looks GOOD. It's IT. You must choose IT.
Emily: Otherwise, I'll beat you up.
Emily: Even if I can't have such a wedding, I have to be a bridesmaid in this environment.
At this moment, Vanessa was in the wedding company.
Seeing Emily's reply, Vanessa smiled and bent down to slide the LED screen in front of her.
The design director of this company saw that Vanessa was obsessed with the design and said, "You can't feel the beauty of the scene just by looking at the photos. Please come with me. There is VR equipment. Immersing in the headwear equipment, you can experience the wedding scene personally."
Five minutes later.
Shawn closed the magazine in his hand and looked up, only to find that his bride was gone.
It was funny. Although he was the bridegroom, there was no chance for him to express his opinions.
Half an hour later, Vanessa returned to the reception area with excitement.
She looked extremely joyful, but she pretended to be reserved in front of Shawn and said, "I just went to see it. It's not bad. Do you want to see it?"
"It's up to you."
He couldn't bear it to see the pink bubbles all over the design drawing.
Satisfied with his performance, Vanessa handed him the design drawing and said, "I've chosen it. What do you think?"
Although she was asking for his opinion, she looked obviously perfunctory.
Shawn took the design drawing, but he didn't unfold it.
"Don't you need to think about it more? You've decided within half an hour."
Vanessa thought he was right.
Vanessa really couldn't be hasty at such a once-in-a-lifetime event.
So she turned to the design director and said, "We'll contact you after we've thought it over after going back."-
After returning home, Vanessa had no time to rest. She sat on the sofa and sent the optional concept photos to her friends.

Vanessa got the same answer.
Birds of a feather flocked together. Her friends, like her, were also unable to resist the dreamlike wedding scene, overwhelmed with pink roses and lace balloons.
"OK, I've made up my mind."
Vanessa said, "The one I told you today."
After saying that, she held the design drawing and appreciated it happily.
But she heard Shawn say abruptly, "I don't agree."
Vanessa thought she had misheard.
"What did you say?"
"I'm saying," Shawn turned to look at her and said word by word, "I don't want to choose this."
Vanessa blinked her eyes and asked, "Which one do you think is better?"
Shawn said, "Anything else is OK except this."
Vanessa was completely stunned. After a while, as if she had suffered a huge blow, she suddenly sat up and asked in a trembling voice, "Why?"
Did Shawn go against her on purpose?
Shawn put his arm on the back of the sofa and played with Vanessa's hair with his fingertips, but didn't immediately answer her question.
So the bride played her trump card.
"You don't love me anymore, do you?"
"..."
After a short pause, Shawn's answer came straight to the point, "Too pink."
He didn't want to recall his wedding once in a lifetime.
He would think he was a princess.
"Too pink?" Vanessa shook off his hand, frowned, and sneered, "You've been sleeping on the pink bed sheet for a year. I haven't seen you suffer from insomnia either."
When it was brought up, Shawn had something to refute.
But when he turned his head and saw Vanessa, he suddenly looked gentle. He raised his eyebrow and glanced at Vanessa, but only the two of them knew the information.
"Did I sleep on the bed sheet?"
"..."
Vanessa threw a pillow at him and ran back to the room without putting on her slippers.
After a while.
When she heard the door was pushed open, she immediately curled up in the corner of the sofa with her legs crossed and turned to look at the window.
Vanessa felt that she was the saddest person in the world.
"Alas, we're not married yet. How can you treat me like this? I don't know if I still have a place in this family in the future."
After saying that, she glanced at Shawn from the corner of her eyes.
However, he took away his phone beside his ear and asked, "What did you say?"
Vanessa was speechless.
"I said there's no place for you to stay in this house. Please go out."
Shawn really took a coat and walked out of the room.
Vanessa's one-sided cold war between them lasted only half an hour.
Hearing that there was no sound outside, she lost her patience and quietly walked out.
She looked around and finally walked to the door of the study.
She opened a crack of the door and saw Shawn was reading.
She adjusted her expression.
As far as she knew, Shawn could only hear pleasing words.
So she smoothed her hair and walked in in small steps. She bent over and sat in Shawn's arms through his arm.
Shawn was used to the sudden hug. He held her waist with one hand and bookmarked the book calmly.
After he slowly closed the book, he asked, "What's wrong?"
Vanessa wrapped her arms around his neck and said in a sweet voice, "Hubby, I've always wanted a pink wedding since I was a child. Like a princess. This is the biggest dream in my life."
Shawn looked past Vanessa and calmly looked at the computer screen. "Last month, you said that the biggest dream in your life was that your husband applied your endless facial masks."
Vanessa was speechless.
Holding his jaw with both hands, Vanessa looked at him affectionately. "How about this? I'll come back to cook for you every day after work, so that you can have the love dinner cooked by your wife every day, OK?"
Shawn said, "Then I'd better choose a pink wedding."
"..."
For some unaccountable reason, in his subtle words, Vanessa heard a sense of disgust.
