Chapter 136 The Affection in His Eyes

Chapter 136 The Affection in His Eyes
Seeing her looking at her phone, Hubert suddenly had the urge to step up and snatch it over. Fortunately, he was good at controlling himself and did not do that. Otherwise, their relationship would get worse.
He stepped forward, stood in front of her, and said in a deep voice, "Honey."
Bang!
Teresa was so startled by his "honey" that her phone fell to the ground.
She hurriedly bent over to pick it up. But when she saw the cracks on the screen protector, she said in depression, "I spent one hundred dollars on the screen protector."
Hubert took her mobile phone over to have a look. Well, the screen protector was indeed severely damaged. Hearing her complain, he said, "I'll buy ten for you as compensation."
"Buy more. If you call me honey again, my screen protector will be broken again."
The corners of Hubert's mouth twitched. After looking at her silently for a moment, he said in a deep voice, "Teresa, we are husband and wife."
There was nothing wrong with him calling her honey.
Teresa was amused, took the phone back from his hand, and asked, "What else do you want to say? Just call me by my name in the future. I'm not used to calling you honey or being called this way."
"I, I'm sorry," Hubert said seriously and thought his face must look apologetical.
But in Teresa's eyes, he looked as serious as the dean of a school, and all the students would detour as long as seeing him.
"That night, I was too impulsive and did something bad to you. It was my fault. I apologize to you."
Teresa just looked at him, waiting for him to continue. But after he finished those words, he stopped speaking and just looked at her. He was apologizing for his indecent assault on her instead of misunderstanding her relationship with Ezra.
"There is nothing between Ezra and me." Teresa had already explained it, but she explained it again and said, "I have no feelings for him. I invited him to dinner to thank him for helping me, and there is no other intention. What's more, it is stated in the agreement that we must not interfere in each other's private life."
And she had never intervened in his private life.
Hubert was speechless. He regretted letting her sign the agreement again. It did not restrain her but became a burden that he couldn't get rid of.
"By the way, Gwendolyn is afraid that you will misunderstand that she was fixing me and Ezra up. So, she asked me to explain it to you clearly. Neither I nor she has ever thought of bringing him and me together."
Hubert believed Teresa had no feelings for Ezra.
He pursed his lips and then asked, "Don't you know Ezra has a crush on you?"
Teresa was taken aback. Ezra had a crush on her? How was it possible? She was three years older than him.
"How do you know he has a crush on me? Have you seen him again after you saw us having dinner together? Did he tell you?"
Hubert put his hands on the cashier's desk and leaned over, suddenly sending his pretty face in front of her eyes. Teresa blinked at him, thinking this "iceberg" was handsome. Every time she saw his pretty face so close, she wanted to touch it.
She had tasted his thin lips. Although he was a cold person, she had to admit that when he had kissed her, he had been as enthusiastic as fire, almost melting her.
"Look into my eyes," Hubert ordered in a deep voice.
Teresa looked at him, wondering what he wanted her to see. His eyeballs?
"Did you see it?"
"I saw your eyeballs."
The corners of Hubert's mouth twitched.

"What do you want me to see? Your eyes are big and beautiful. They are as good-looking as your face. Mr. Donovan, you are blessed. You're the most handsome man I've ever seen."
Teresa couldn't help teasing him again.
She put both hands on his face, pinched his cheeks, and said, "You always have a straight face, so I thought your face is as hard as marble. But it turns out to be quite soft. I heard that people with soft faces have good tempers. You have such a bad temper, but your face is also soft."
Hubert said, "...You didn't see affection in my eyes? Ezra always looks at you like this. I'm also a man, so I understand him. He has had a crush on you for a long time."
But this silly woman still foolishly regarded him as her younger brother. Ezra wanted to be her man instead of her brother. Hubert didn't stop Teresa from teasing and taking advantage of him.
"Is there affection in your eyes? I only saw the chill."
Hubert's face darkened because he had acted the role in vain.
Teresa smiled embarrassingly, "Maybe it's because your acting is too lame. The emotion in your eyes comes from your heart. If you don't love me, you will have no affection for me in your eyes when you look at me."
Hearing this, Hubert patted off her impolite hands.
"Mr. Donovan."
"What?"
"Well, I, I want to kiss you."
Hubert stared at her with his dark eyes sullenly.
Teresa continued embarrassedly, "You look too good-looking."
After they had kissed once, she missed his domineering kiss.
Wait! She didn't fall for him, right?
"It's fine if you are unwilling. Hurry up! Go to do your job. I can look after the store alone," Teresa said, picked up her phone again, and pretended to look at it, not daring to look at him.
Suddenly, two big strong hands pulled her up from the chair, then grabbed her shoulders, and pulled her forward. When he approached her, his thin lips blocked hers.
Teresa blinked, thinking he must not be used to women taking the initiative. She wanted to laugh because he wanted to win in everything.
"Ouch!" She felt pain in her lips.
He had bitten her. Although she did not bleed, it was painful.
"Are you a dog? Why did you bite me?"
"You bit me too."
He had bitten her because she had been absent-minded.
She had praised him for being good-looking and said that she wanted to kiss him. He had thought he was extremely attractive. But when he had been kissing her, she had been absent-minded. She did not cherish his initiative at all.
Teresa snorted, "Petty man!"
Then, she held his face with both hands and bit his lips hard. Soon, his thin lips swell up because she had bitten too hard.
When he went around the cashier's desk, she said, "Hubert, what do you want to do? You are a man! Are you going to retaliate against a woman? Where is your demeanor? I thought you are more broad-minded! You..."
Hubert grabbed her, pushed her onto the cashier's desk, and domineeringly kissed her until she raised the white flag.
"If you dare to tease me again, you will be at your own risk," Hubert warned while releasing her.
He did not want her to think of him as an abstinent man who could remain calm even when a beauty was in his arms.
She often teased him like this, and he was occasionally turned on.
"It's your fault. You're too good-looking," Teresa muttered.
Hubert was speechless. It was her that had teased him, but now, she blamed him for being too good-looking.
"Teresa, you wicked girl! Get out!" An angry roar suddenly swept into the store at the speed of a tornado before the person arrived.
